For number 2, I totally agree. Toxicity comes with every group, and because they have the biggest fandom in the world rn of course they have a lot of toxic fans.
but army's are noticeably more toxic bec new fans don't know anything about kpop history and like to assume bts is the greatest group out there and are unique/iconic
@@alhassan5623 The point is not to generalize ARMY/Kpop fandoms in general. When baby fans arrive in a fandom and act ignorant/toxic, that’s when it’s the job of older fans to step in and tell them how things are supposed to go. A group will always have bad apples as they grow, but generalizing also overshadows the positive stans
@@alhassan5623 well BTS are indeed the greatest group in the world right now and are unique/iconic so idk what you’re getting at. if however you mean those people who say that they are the only good ones and all the others suck then once again you need to refer back to the original point of number 2 which is that the ARMY fandom is a HUGE fandom so it represents people from every single corner. sadly but naturally, toxic ones will be in there as well but you shouldn’t ever generalise a huge fandom based on what a handful of toxic people are doing when they are bored. trust me...been there, done that.
I agree with the 5 yr point, it becomes quite apparent in the later years which idols are tired of maybe fame/the company//the concepts and e.t.c. Also I really like your voice, to me it sound very posh and soft. Thank you for the wonderful video
I actually think Key from Shinee is an all-rounder he's won an award for acting, cast in 2 of the most popular variety shows, designs clothing for shinee concerts, raper, known as a dance copy machine and a superb vocalist, his latest comeback (bad love) is an example of this, man has so much variety that I can't name everything he's done.
It sometimes hurts how kpop first started to help teenagers, fight with the spoiled society, abusive parents and dreams of youth which was crushed under some stupid rules of grown ups but turned into something where teens fight with each other about who's oppa is the best, toxics spreading hate, keyboard warriors looking for their next victim to cancel 😕 what did we do wrong to come to this point?
you're so so right, I have no idea how it has become what it has to some people, it's such a shame 😔 a lot of us are still here simply for good vibes only, but at the same time we know that's not the case for everybody. some people seem to get a kick out of causing upset and drama.
For number 3 i do believe Rocky from Astro is an all rounder he is the main dancer and must have to say he is one of the best male dancers in the Kpop industry, he's a rapper, actor, mc, songwriter, choreographer and producer. Then we have Yeonjun from TXT he can dance, rap, sing, act and he's a songwriter and a model too.
I kinda agree with 2nd opinion but i personally the think the amount of chill fans are more than toxic It's just that the toxic fans are loud on social media
I enjoy the way you explain and back your opinions. Also, I loved hearing your voice in the whole video. About album fillers, Red Velvet and Dreamcatcher have the most no-skips in their discography in my opinion. 4th Gen has also been putting out great releases especially Purple Kiss, STAYC, PIXY, JUST B and Weeekly. Even ITZY have improved their B-Sides since their third EP. I do love the videos you've put out and look forward to your next ones.
Thank you so much, what a lovely comment!🥰 I deffo need to give more of a listen to more 4th gen groups, I'm only hearing their title tracks tbh rather than looking into mini albums etc
No. Jeon Soyeon is THE all rounder. I'm not a big fan of gidle's music anyways but I have immense respect for her, She basically carries her group's discography on her shoulders.
nah you're not being picky, kpop albums are a hot mess. they should spend more time making solid albums instead of dropping 2-3 albums a year. it not a strategies that is working for them musically. but y'all know kpop is about money, so they don't really care about making quality music
i think myself and have also heard from various platforms that TXT has a pretty much no-skip discrography and it really is. i actually only found out about them recently and started to watch and listen to random MVs and stages on my RUclips feed. they’re all really amazing so i was like WTF when i found out that most of them aren’t different title tracks but just Bsides from the same album lol
The only all rounders I can think of at the top of my head are Soyeon and Chan. Honestly. They LITERALLY EXCEL at all the postion skills in their group. Not even the word AVERAGE touches their potential and current abilities. They even have extra credit like producing, modelling, leading to give them the title of All Rounder. There is no other all rounder i can genuinely think of. Yall can come through There are usually aces in groups. Where that one member really stands out because of their two or three skills they excel at or are just purely talented and you can tell they were "born" for idol/artist life. So i'm not really gonna touch upon that. There are a lot. even more than two in one group. E.g Jungkook from bts or Yuju from gfriend. They are aces in their respective groups
I agree with the filler tracks. Because kpop groups come back more than once in a year, I feel like sometimes it'd be better if they came back with a single with 1 or 2 tracks and released a mini album once in a while, letting the producers breathe. Quality over quantity, especially that majority of people focuses more on the title track than the rest of the album. The other songs are not promoted as western artists use to do, realeasing more singles before the whole album drops.
Totally agree with the filler songs!! I also think about it for a long time, because i aways find hard to like an album besides the title track :( But there some groups that make great full albuns like Stray Kids, TXT, Loona and the older BTS albuns (because sadly, their recents works are just not my cup of tea)
StayC so far have an impeccable discography where every song actually feels worked on and well thought out. Red Velvet is another group that has no filler songs. I also really like woo!ah!'s discography as well.
Congrats on having the confidence on using your voice!!. It's not an easy task doing voice overs (speaking from experience). I hate doing it sm, so well done for building the confidence and hopefully not listening back at it and cringing at it (cos I do that lol). For the first time you sounded very confident
Thank you so much, I'm glad somebody understands how difficult it can be!🙈 I definitely cringed at first listening back, but then I had no choice but to get over it because I needed to hear it back to edit the video 😭😄
@@dearyoongi And hearing it back repeatedly is the worst part. But yeh maybe I should do the same and just deal with it. I rly don't like listening to my voice tho, and idk if I could speak for a good ten mins for a yt vid tbh lol.
@@johnturner6149 trust me, 10 minutes goes a lot quicker than you think when it's a topic you enjoy speaking about! I'd happily watch your 10 min video😁
I'm so glad you shared your opinion about filler songs on albums, because I feel the exact same way and have felt this way for yeeeeears. I can't think of too many Kpop albums that come to mind that I can fully listen to without skipping certain songs or only half-ly enjoying the songs. However, a few albums that I really enjoyed, while admittedly having some "filler" songs, are Super Junior's "Sorry, Sorry", Teen Top's "No.1," B1A4's "Let's Fly, "It B1A4," and "Ignition," and Infinite's "Over The Top/ Paradise," "Infinitize," "First Invasion," "She's Back," "Evolution," and "Inspirit."
for me a kpop all-rounder that i can confidently name is most definitely Jungkook. he can sing he can rap he can dance he can produce he can compose he can write and the list goes on and on...and mind you, he isn’t mediocre in any of these things, he actually excels and is phenomenal in each and every single one of them which is a pretty rare thing to see these days.
i agree so much with the filler songs..it has come to a point where they all have such a specific “filler” sound to them which makes it extremely difficult for you to ever remember them again. it’s in a way i can’t really describe but that is the reason i don’t even bother to listen to the other songs in an album except if it’s an album from my ult group. for others i just judge based on the title track because i know that 99% of the energy just went there and there only.
Another reason why some groups have tons of title tracks is companies don't want to pay much for good producers and prefer having their own producers work on titles instead since titles and mv songs are what makes money these days instead of quality of the album
yes definitely! they make sure they have the budget for a great title track and then thats it the rest of the album just kinda is what it is sorta thing because I guess it's more important to make the initial impression with the title track!
I agree, Its soo smoothing to listen to. Im not sure but i think i caught an accent. Its Soo Beautiful. You should do videos with your voice more often..
@@mycrazythoughts this is such a lovely comment, thank you so much 🥰 I'm from England so my accent should sound British but I always get told otherwise😁😂
SF9 had a 5 year contract, they recently renewed their contracts this year. Since they are from FNC and their first dance boy group, I think that's why they had a shorter contract to begin with.
Before I listen to the whole video I want to say that your English is precious, I don't talk English well, but the way you pronounce it is just pretty. Ly
soyeon and hoseok are the only all rounders i can think of. 1. we need more producer hobi (boy meets evil had crack in it) 2. he doesn’t have a high range from everything that we have seen yet but his voice definitely is very likeable.
There are plenty of groups that I have loved and listened to throughout my years of being into k-pop, but Pentagon is, in my opinion, a group filled with all-rounders and albums that are absolutely not full of filler songs. They are, frankly, truly amazing. In terms of all-rounders, there’s no question that their leader and main vocalist Hui is the best of the best. He isn’t just a typical kpop group main vocalist, who not to knock on main vocalists, but Hui really just is on another level. If you’ve never heard this man sing hoo boy, you’re in for a treat, because he genuinely has my favorite voice in all of k-pop. I honestly wish I could hear his voice for the first time again. But he’s also a song writer and producer not just for the group, but for other artists as well including the iconic “Energetic” by Wanna One and a song for the legendary Shinhwa. He’s also led a temporary trot idol group and rapped too. He may not be main dancer, but he can dance really well and stands out even when next to their main dancer, who I think is also a big all rounder. God, Kino, this man is the definition of what it means to be an idol in my opinion. “What *can’t* he do?” is the question. He is also a pretty good vocalist, and of course main dancer, but he too is a strong song writer and producer, also lending his hand in writing songs for Pentagon and other artists. His songs in Pentagon’s discography are among some of my absolute favorites and they are all b-sides. He also comes in as a rapper occasionally, notably in the group’s first sub-unit consisting of Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok with their single “Cerberus”. And if you just look at him perform, boy does he ooze charisma like it’s literally leaking out of him it’s insane and he’s been like that since their debut nearly 5 years ago. He also participated as a choreographer for Pentagon too for multiple comebacks. Lastly I’ll mention Jinho, also main vocalist alongside Hui, can also rap if he really wants to, but in terms of officially released Pentagon songs, he’s only rapped in 2, which were bonus tracks in two separate albums called “Round 1” and “Round 2.” He was a trainee for 8 years and was an extremely notable trainee for SM, even debuting in a ballad group called SM the Ballad alongside other SM boy group main vocalists. People were expecting him to debut with EXO, but he said that SM had “other plans” with him and wasn’t meant to debut with them. If he stayed with them, he may have even debuted with NCT. But he left the company and became a vocal coach for a while and then came back as a trainee but for Cube. He truly is a singer through and through, no question about it. I truly think Cube hit the jackpot with Pentagon because Hui and Jinho are truly two of the best vocalists in kpop right now, even if they’re still serving in the military (except Jinho is coming back very very soon). He too has also written songs for Pentagon, most of them being ballads. He’s also proficient in dance, having been a trainee for so so long. And is a musical theatre actor (also forgot to mention that Hui also acted in a musical). And again, aside from Hui and Kino, Jinho also acts as a leader because he’s not just the oldest member, but also because of his long standing experience in the industry and strong mentality. Hui has often referred to him as the pillar of Pentagon. And as for albums, gosh where do I even start? I guess prior to their album DEMO_01, I would say that I mostly agree that many of their b-sides in their previous albums never really screamed “Pentagon.” But DEMO_01 is when they began to produce EVERYTHING that they put out. It is their first fully self written album and they never looked back, only improving every single comeback. I always take some pride as a fan in their success in Shine because while they didn’t get their first win with the song, they still made it themselves. That was *their* song. Yes that had another team of producers also participate in the making of the song, but it was still so unashamedly them in concept, delivery, etc. In a group consisting of 9 members, I can confidently say that every one of them has participated in at the very least, writing song lyrics for their albums and in my opinion, that’s quite impressive and I think that helps with the quality of the songs on their albums. They aren’t just songs that the company buys from random producers and make them sing, but they all collectively work on music. (They *do* work with random producers and buy samples and demos too of course.) The members have often shown off their work progress and process and it’s very interesting seeing their insight and the behind the scenes of producing and album. On multiple occasions they, as a collective, come up with the concept of a whole entire comeback from the song selection process, to the outfits they’re going to wear, to what the physical album’s cover is going to be. Truly incredible artists and I wish more people would know about things like this about them. Haha sorry for the whole ramble about pentagon 😅 I just really really admire them and think they’re one of the most underrated groups in the industry right now. I just want to share how incredible this group is, like it just frustrates me sometimes you know?
1. I agree; it can be hard to sit through a whole album sometimes when some of the tracks don't pique my interest. SM has amazing producers but some tracks the company chooses can be questionable. SM has been doing a lot better with their b-sides recently though (as someone who listened to a few older gen albums. Girls Generation's Japanese discography is so much better than their Korean discography in terms of b-sides). A few that I can think of with little to no skips on albums are RV, Exo, TXT, and Seventeen. 2. Toxicity is relative, and there will always be toxic fans. Always. The only difference is the amount of fans there are and the amount of exposure they get. More fans means more exposure and more interactions with a variety of fans. I personally left a couple fandoms because of how unhealthy they were in personally attacking different kpop groups. Sometimes its better to experience some things alone. 3. All-rounder is such a weird thing to me tbh because typically people have different levels of skills that are better over the other. And that is okay as long as they know their strengths and weaknesses to get by. Just because someone can do everything doesn't mean that they can do it well. Because of how saturated the industry is now than it was 10 years ago, there looks to be a push for some idols to be "all-rounders" to stand out among hundreds of groups. And I 1000% agree, Taemin is the only person I can think of as someone who is an all-rounder. Especially since he improved so much since his debut. 4. Seeing how kpop groups have a short shelf life of 5-7 years, I also think that their contract of 7 years is still long (even though it is an improvement from 10-12 years). Rarely do groups actively stay together and promote as much as they used to when their contracts near the end. I can only dream of my favorite groups lasting as long as SHINHWA but life happens and they all have their own interests they want to pursue afterwards (I cried when all of svt renewed their contracts early lol). I just recently came to your channel and I love the content! Keep it up! :)
6:24 I have a few things to say about this. This rule made after numerous problems with long contracts in first generation groups since contracts usually signed for 10-13 years. Most people agree that the biggest reason which triggered this rule was tvxq lawsuit with sm entertainment, you can google about this to learn more I don't want to write everything happened and end up with a long paragraph just you need to know is it was a HUGE thing (plus companies, especially sm had a long history with terminating contacts so it was about to happen). After that they decided its better to ban companies from making too long contracts and decided the longest possible contract time will be half of the usual (which was 13 years) and limited entertainment contracts to 7 years maximum
I 100% think abolishing longer contracts was the right decision especially - like you said - after all the issues tvxq went through, companies such as SM couldn't afford to be going through big lawsuits like that again, it wasn't beneficial for anybody involved!
I also wanted to mention about the contracts that it actually is different for male idols. A 7 year contract turns into 8 if they go into their military service. The contract is put on "pause" for that time so it actually is 9 years for them instead of 7. 7 plus the military service. You could see this in a lot of 2nd gen and 3rd gen idols. However as the idols who debut get younger and younger I do think this loophole will disappear.
1. I completely agree!! I do think that sometimes there is a song or may the whole album (rarely) are actually full of actual songs, but yeah. I agree 100% 2. I completely agree with BTS honestly. Blackpink on the other hand I feel like there are a lot more toxic fans in ratio for some reason. I feel really bad for true blinks who have that many toxic blinks in the community 😭 3. Though I don't fully agree because I feel like there are a lot of kpop idols who are really all rounders, I also think that it isn't nearly as much as a lot people say. I really agree with this one too. 4. Yeah, I completely agree with this. I personally would be okay with like... Three years? Five at tops. Depends on the group.
I agree with the first point but I also think that ppl don't take a lot of time to really listen every song of many artist's albums because there are really good b-sides that many kpop fans are not aware
for all rounders Ill said just base on the ones I stand 1) Jungkook (raps, dance, sings, produce, director, model and actor "they act in mvs") 2) J-Hope (raps, sings, produce, songwrites, model, actor) 3) Yeonjun (raps, sings, produce, songwrites, model, actor)
It's just my theory but I feel like the reason why army get too toxic is because some major events in kpop. I think the first time army started getting toxic was in late 2014 and its mainly because at that time one of the biggest groups of that time, BAP, went on hiatus due to lawsuit with their company and %70 of their fandom left thinking its the end for bap. Nearly all those fake babyz ended up joining army since bts were also doing concepts similar to what bap made before also bap was huge both in korea and internationally so them joining army made other ex 2nd gen fans get to know about bts and join them for the same reason. After this, things that bap fandom used to do started happening in army too like the biggest example: rivalry with exo-l's which actually was a huge deal between exo and bap fans since both groups debut. Before army was a peaceful fandom who's friend with everyone but after 2014 and fake babyz joining them they started having fights with other fandoms and most importantly exols. Also things like favoritism, too much shipping, award winning obsession etc. started in army which was new to them. This theory also supports bts's fame getting higher and higher internationally since bap was exactly same, even bap entered billboard lists before and was rising really fast until ts made them dirty like that. Its just a theory but as a baby and army since both groups debut I feel this is the starting point of the toxic army we have today and the toxicity increased as time pass since they had a lot of newcomers to the fandom and not all of them are mature and respectful. Of course its not those groups fault and I know there are beautiful people in both fandoms and I wish the best for those mature armys since you guys aren't only stanning a group but also fighting with other people and even people in your own fandom 💜
omg thank you for this comment, I didn't actually know that after the drama BAP and babyz had that a lot of them ended up becoming armys, but it definitely makes sense bc like you said their concepts at the time had some similarities!
@@ummehaniabid2617 Well as I stated, there is no actual proof hence why its just my THEORY instead of a fact. But I tried my best to explain my reasoning and facts that led me to think this way. Which part made you question it's reality or proofs? I would be happy to explain
I agree sm with the 1st one, the only groups i could think of who have no skips/almost no skips in their discography are blackpink, red velvet (excluding a few songs), enhypen and purple kiss .
and an ace can mean different things depending on who you talk to. 4th gen stans tend to say an ace excels (could hold a main position in rap, dance, or vocals) in every area AS WELL AS does other things on the side--like modelling, acting, producing, etc. a 3rd gen stan will say they excel at just one or two things. either way, the title is designed to be unattainable. an all rounder could come about by sheer improvement and training to get good at everything, but an ace has to have natural talent on top of that to bring it to the next level. i think that's why third and fourth gen stans conflict so much over the title, because it means different things to different people. the way i think of it is that chan (skz) is an all rounder because he's good/decent at everything, but han (skz) is an ace because he's incredible at everything. calling someone an ace for one thing, personally, doesnt make sense to me because then any main dancer or main vocalist could hold that title, when they already have one that means the same thing. lmk if you disagree though!
Agree with you on Taemin being the no.1 all-rounder in kpop. Taemin as a soloist is a full package. That man contributes his ideas and inputs in every single aspect of his solo work. He can not just dance, sing, rap, write, compose but he also helps direct his own MVs, suggest concepts and themes, costumes, can self-choreograph his songs, co-direct his live stages, co-produce and a lot more stuff. I seriously cannot think of anyone who put so much effort and care into his/her work like Taemin as an artist does (I highly recommend you to watch this documentary - ruclips.net/video/m2_MVBxmdyc/видео.html You would get to know what him more as an artist. :) He is the artist doing the most avant-garde art in the industry (as said by a lot of creative artists of the industry who have worked for him and those who haven't but want to work with him in the future). It's a pity that SM doesn't let their artists have complete control and artistic freedom over their solo projects, else taemin would've owned multiple self-written, composed, produced albums by now like Jonghyun ❤ also, speaking about Jonghyun, he is another artist that comes to my mind when I think about all rounder artists. His solo work is just so immaculate. And what a great performer as well. another one is Key. He blew my mind with his recent release Bad Love and it's amazing how much he contributed to that project that he worked on for almost a decade. And as you'd have guessed by now, I'm a SHINee simp. haha
I think it's not only armys but generally new generation of kpop fans are usually toxic. Now you're not allowed to say your opinions, you can't not like a song of your favourite group, you are a fake fan if you don't stream and things like that. Like I even saw people wished death of my family because I said I didn't like bts's dynamite 🙃 it's too aggressive in kpop today that i can't make myself like any new groups since newer groups come with a fandom full of toxic fans. I stan kpop for a long time and I saw every generation fans have some problems, first gen stans had certain lines and it was forbidden to cross those lines, second gen fans were way too protective, early third gen are all in fight with idol group companies and late 3rd-4th gen fans are too wild and aggressive. Even the most peaceful fandom are forced to join wars now It's not a place to enjoy music anymore
I deffo see what you mean! even though I've been an army and followed them for years, I've had many people call me a 'fake fan' simply for not liking some of their more recent releases, like you said it's as if you aren't allowed to share your opinion! it's such a shame because we're all here for the same reason: for the music!
I actually can think of a lot of All rounders like Jeon Soyeon, Hyuna, IU (incredible actress alongside her voice and amazing songwriting), Chaeyoung of Twice. Recently discovered Kim Bora is all rounder as well, always thought She was the best vocalist of 4th gen but she can also rap as well as evidenced by her stint on gp999.
hyuna I think is a great example. chaeyoung is a good dancer, but I don't know if a GREAT one (i love her don't hate me please) like I consider an all rounder to be GREAT at everything, same with iu I haven't seen complicated choreos from her but I don't know a lot from her, but I love the praise because I think people overlook how talented these are. soyeon I think also Is great at everything
Either way, we have to to stay away from calling a group annoying/toxic as a whole. You might have a personal experience and I apologize that you had to deal with that but it’s not fair to place annoying/toxicity on one group’s fandom. We gotta be respectful but also hold every fandom accountable
@@courtneygrace8563 i agree. i personally didnt have such toxic experience with armys as much i had with blinks, stays, justin bieber fans, bts haters etc. i personally dont think armys are THAT toxic. i just said in my experience, armys are more annoying than "toxic". not all armys are annoying tho, some Army are really really sweet and nice. toxicity depends on the person, not their fandom
as an army I agree, even tho I think the most toxic was around 2017 definetly. I'm here since Save Me era and was here to witness what the war between exols and armys when EXO vs BTS was at it's peak. I'm really proud of where the fandom is now
@@nafitaffi yes they are but generalizing a whole group of fandom is not..right Coz it doesn't make any sense , army's are good but the newer ones who knew bts after butter era ptd era etc.. aren't like the older army's, they are just immature tbh..I wish the fandom Mostly just appreciates the music and genuine support for their works. Rather than fighting for who's "oppa" is better , who is "most" handsome , "my ____(insert idol name) is better than u" .. (this goes for every fandoms)
I agreed with all of your opinions... Thank you for this. Also your voice is very cute, I loved it. Here are some of my unpopular opinions 0. *2021 kpop is the WORST* No matter hard you try or scream, I dont care!! Mafia didn’t slap the way Wannabe did! Alcohol free didn’t slap the way ICSM did! Next Level didn’t slap the way BM did! Psycho>>>>>>>Queendom!!! *Most of the releases this year are "grow on me" songs. Why?!? Bops should be liked in the first listen!!!* The only ones who slayed this year are: * Hybe groups, Ateez, Weekly and a few.. Ntm so many groups disbanded this year... 1. *J-hope is a better ace than Jungkook* Okay, I don’t hate JK (I'm a OT7), But JH better in many categories, he is the dance machine, one of the greatest rapper, such an amazing producer and many more. I also personally think he is a better vocalist than rapper JK.... 2. *God's Menu's chorus was BAD* God's menu is one of the Most popular song in 2020, but it’s chorus is too disappointing!! Especially after that top tier pre chorus.... 3. *ATEEZ deserves to be top 4 gen groups* I know they are not underrate, but they deserves a bigger fandom and more wins!! 4. *Dances are boring without stage presence* No matter how hard the choreography is or how good the dancer might be, dance lacks without stage presence. (tbh I'm talking about Momo here.) Some of the group with best stage presence are Ateez, BTS, BP, Mamamoo etc.. 5. *People hate on BTS and Armys for no reasons* I can understand about hating on armys(I myself sometimes get disgusted by my own fandom) but BTS??? They are literally one of the most unproblematic groups. And still one of the most hated.... When you ask them they will say, "they are too popular " "They are westernized" (Bitch you dont even stan them in the first place, and its only 3 songs??) 6. *BTS is one of the only idols who actually learn from their mistakes* No matter how hard you try to deny this but this is true!! Almost every group did racist shit on the past, but only a few of them actually changed. People still bring up BTS in everything, even after 7/8 years??? And especially when they didn’t run their mistakes and actually educated themselves??? People make me laugh... This was long...
Found a Video by accident, enjoyed it was adapting to the robot voice then I came to the channel to watch a newer video then boom a human voice 🤣🤣🤣, to be honest I was scared don't know why but I was expecting the robot. But the real voice got me to subscribe 😁😁😁
Ahah thank you so much! I started out using the robot voice, but youtube got suspicious that I was a bot and I wanted to continue to make videos so I switched to my voice! I'm glad you're okay with it tysm 🥺
For number 3: if It was 5 years, events that shaped kpop might not have happened like brave girls might have disbanded way before gaining popularity, groups form small company that gain popularity do it within the first year to three years of their career giving them 6 to 4 year to build a solid fan base and solidify their popularity plus helping stabilize their company so it was 5 year contract that would the group and company 4 to 2 year to do all that( I am speaking if they don't want to resign), many groups we love and are influential could have disband an example would be shinee and bts for bts we know what could have happened in 2018 but didn't so if it was a 5 year contract their contract would have ended in 2018 so they take as a sign they should disband, same with shinee their contracts would have ended on may 2018 and we all know what happened six months earlier, the unfortunate event jonghyun passing still being fresh plus their contracts ending could have convinced them that it was better to disband rather than continue in honor of jonghyun, or example I can would be exo, nu'est and many more groups that could have disbanded before they should. My third point is the transition 3rd to 4th gen would be faster than it already is plus the influence that the 3rd gen on 4th gen wouldn't be as prominent, my fourth if it 5 years, it could allow companies to get away with alot things. But I agree that would have also helped groups like B.A.P and lady code end contracts alot faster( if any one does know what happened to this groups please search it up because they are the perfect example of unfortunate events happening to groups)
I think han jisung of stray kids is an all- rounder. He is an amazing vocalist, rapper and is a good dancer. Another point he is also an amazing producer and songwriter
#1 YES. Oh, god, yes. A few great songs, and a few throwaways. I'm almost afraid of K-Pop albums, wanting to stick to singles. For those in the industry that say a 5 song album takes awhile, well Journey and Electric Light Orchestra and lots of American groups have made 12 song albums that have no filler. If they can do it ... then why can't someone with 5 songs? This just sounds lazy to me. And, I say this as a bassist who did a 4 song EP with 4 strong songs (and 2 that didn't make it cause they weren't strong.) I figure, the difference is, Journey may have taken a year to make the album, and the K-Pop scene seems to want product fast.
Yeah I deffo think part of the reason that some albums seem almost thrown together is that the industry is always constantly moving so less focus is put on producing a solid album and instead an album that will be ready to go asap! I'm the same now in the sense where I put off listening to full albums by my faves as long as possible through fear of disappointment 🙈😭
I'm a total stan of Dreamcatcher. From what I read from others their stuff is across the board zero filler. But, outside them, from the full albums of other groups I've heard ... I'm likely to hit the reviewers/stans/anti-s first to get some feedback. I say this as a weekly music reviewer of many years who just started putting some k-pop into my blog, and I was finding creative ways of saying 'First song, awesome, second one great, third one okay .... why did they have to end it this way after a strong opening?'
I’m not sure but I feel like jungkook is and all rounder, if you listen to older songs he’s really good at rapping and his a great vocalist and dancer and he helps write and produce songs
i do agree that armies have more mass and therefore more toxicity, but it's created a bigger culture overall. as a stay, i see this in my fandom as well. sometimes i meet armies that are so sweet, but all of a sudden will turn around and spew buzzwords and offensive language (slurs, insults, etc) just because you insult their favs. there's a sort of cultish energy the deeper you get into the fandom, where there are pockets who believe in really extreme things, like that you cant stan other groups or that BTS is the most talented group in kpop. ofc its fine to have an opinion on that, but they take it as fact and bring others down. however, i will say that if they were a smaller fandom, it wouldn't have turned into an army culture thing.
Am in kpop for a long time ago so for ur last opinion I think kpoppers don't really the difference between their artists like mostly usa/Europe and the kpop/jpop industry, those r idols not artists per say they always existed to "entertain" not to be seen, that's why the kpop in Korea is not popular, basically few years back then a contract for 10 years or more(indefinitely until paying debt) may seem not beneficial to the company especially if they flop but fact is most of us don't see the bts(behind the scene) of their industry, see (mostly gg) idols do perform for private gathering as a group or individual, they were "asked" to dine, assist or entertain rich business men in exchange for money(the money is split by the company, manager and idol) it's was never just inkigayo, they often were deprived of sleep because they did not have a free day,if there I no schedule (concert/fanmeetings/ festivals, appearances on school festivities...etc)then they were booked for politicians and homme d'affaires, radio shows/TV shows or over seas festivals, so a longer contract worked for companies as they made a lot of money like that....SM ent😒. The idols themselves made money from those "gigs" that's how we knew who was popular among artists( most popular gg in Korea were almost slaves to the industry)yes they made money but in a long terms that why they kept working for such long periods, paying debts after only 7 years, then working to buy houses for parents/cars/businesses,then 10 year in their career they start living and tasting their fame and popularity, they fought for 7 years maxi, but now most sign for 5 to 3 years cause pedophilia/prostitution and slavery is condemned even for rich chaebols like Samsung, its no more accepted.
since no one is mentioning him j-hope is an amazing all rounder, everyone's always focusing on jk (like i'm not hating on him i'm an army) but geez give him some credit he's way better producer, writter, dancer and rapper than jk, also i'm not saying it's jks fault to get all the spotlight hybe should really sort their stuff out and stop wasting hobis talent (not only hobis but jins as well but that's another topic). oh also han and woodz are both crazy all rounders as well i don't stan either of them, just occasionally listen to their music, but the talent is literally oozing out if them.
Oof. Huge disagree on number 2. Even before they hit big, ARMY's were already toxic. I've been listening to kpop since gen 2 and I remember that fiasco about someone using "BTS" over a behind-the-scenes youtube video lol. having a bigger fandom just enabled this toxic behavior to perpetuate.
I would call SuA of Dreamcatcher an all-rounder. Her biggest strength is dancing, which she is excellent at, but she is also a great singer (has belted in singles, has carried some of the harder vocal parts) and can rap (she raps in Good Night and in BEcause).
For number 2, I totally agree. Toxicity comes with every group, and because they have the biggest fandom in the world rn of course they have a lot of toxic fans.
but army's are noticeably more toxic bec new fans don't know anything about kpop history and like to assume bts is the greatest group out there and are unique/iconic
true, and bts' fandom is REALLY REALLY BIG... So even a small amount of fans feel like a million
@@ladyturquoise8894 yes!
I agree with the 5 yr point, it becomes quite apparent in the later years which idols are tired of maybe fame/the company//the concepts and e.t.c.
Also I really like your voice, to me it sound very posh and soft. Thank you for the wonderful video
I'm so glad you see what I mean, it's exactly that! 😊 (and thank you so much omg, that's so sweet of you!)
*rapper. Got the spelling wrong there
Please change raper to rapper
You know what you have written is kinda a VERY bad description of a respectable person 😐😅
@@manishajakhar9651 ?
@@dearyoongi so true idk what happened to lead the k-pop to a toxic figure.
Oh I see you everywhere lol
Han jisung is an all rounder since he can sing , rap , dance ,produce songs
For number 3 i do believe Rocky from Astro is an all rounder he is the main dancer and must have to say he is one of the best male dancers in the Kpop industry, he's a rapper, actor, mc, songwriter, choreographer and producer.
Then we have Yeonjun from TXT he can dance, rap, sing, act and he's a songwriter and a model too.
same, my bias in astro is sanha but MAN rocky flies when he dances
I kinda agree with 2nd opinion but i personally the think the amount of chill fans are more than toxic
It's just that the toxic fans are loud on social media
@Luv U 💜 let's be freinds 🤝
you're definitely right, luckily the amount of positive fans usually outshines the bad ones!💖

@Luv U 💜 oh sorry my bad ,so you dont have your own account ?
I enjoy the way you explain and back your opinions. Also, I loved hearing your voice in the whole video. About album fillers, Red Velvet and Dreamcatcher have the most no-skips in their discography in my opinion. 4th Gen has also been putting out great releases especially Purple Kiss, STAYC, PIXY, JUST B and Weeekly. Even ITZY have improved their B-Sides since their third EP. I do love the videos you've put out and look forward to your next ones.
Thank you so much, what a lovely comment!🥰 I deffo need to give more of a listen to more 4th gen groups, I'm only hearing their title tracks tbh rather than looking into mini albums etc
jeon soyeon can rap, dance, sing and even produce so yeah.. jeon soyeon is an all rounder
same with woodz he can rap, dance, sing and produce...soyeon and woodz are the only idols that i can think of right now lol
No. Jeon Soyeon is THE all rounder. I'm not a big fan of gidle's music anyways but I have immense respect for her, She basically carries her group's discography on her shoulders.
She is the blueprint she is shockingly talented
@@yeet-xm1nu han jisung too!
nah you're not being picky, kpop albums are a hot mess. they should spend more time making solid albums instead of dropping 2-3 albums a year. it not a strategies that is working for them musically. but y'all know kpop is about money, so they don't really care about making quality music
i think myself and have also heard from various platforms that TXT has a pretty much no-skip discrography and it really is. i actually only found out about them recently and started to watch and listen to random MVs and stages on my RUclips feed. they’re all really amazing so i was like WTF when i found out that most of them aren’t different title tracks but just Bsides from the same album lol
Yall can come through
There are usually aces in groups.
Exactly! Quality over quantity is so important
Totally agree with the filler songs!! I also think about it for a long time, because i aways find hard to like an album besides the title track :(
But there some groups that make great full albuns like Stray Kids, TXT, Loona and the older BTS albuns (because sadly, their recents works are just not my cup of tea)
its the groups that have a planned concept, not the groups that change their concept with each album!

@@dearyoongi I can't even do 30 seconds so... but thanks anyway

I just started watching your videos and I love them!!! You have a really nice voice to listen to so I hope you continue the voice overs!! +1 sub

soyeon and hoseok are the only all rounders i can think of.
1. we need more producer hobi (boy
meets evil had crack in it)
2. he doesn’t have a high range from everything that we have seen yet but his voice definitely is very likeable.
I totally agree with the first number.
Looks like the b sides are fillers just to the album can really be called as an album not just a single song
1. I completely agree!! I do think that sometimes there is a song or may the whole album (rarely) are actually full of actual songs, but yeah. I agree 100%
2. I completely agree with BTS honestly. Blackpink on the other hand I feel like there are a lot more toxic fans in ratio for some reason. I feel really bad for true blinks who have that many toxic blinks in the community 😭
3. Though I don't fully agree because I feel like there are a lot of kpop idols who are really all rounders, I also think that it isn't nearly as much as a lot people say. I really agree with this one too.
4. Yeah, I completely agree with this. I personally would be okay with like... Three years? Five at tops. Depends on the group.
your voice is so nice and makes you sound like someone I'd trust, if that makes sense (not sure if this is a weird thing to say or not)
Omg I love this comment thank you so much!😮💖
Yunho from TVXQ for me is the best example of an all-rounder, he can sing, dance and rap so freaking well
I agree with the first point but I also think that ppl don't take a lot of time to really listen every song of many artist's albums because there are really good b-sides that many kpop fans are not aware
I agree with the 5 year contract, that is a very good idea so they can have more control over themselves
Thank you! I'm glad you see what I mean😁
for all rounders Ill said just base on the ones I stand
1) Jungkook (raps, dance, sings, produce, director, model and actor "they act in mvs")
2) J-Hope (raps, sings, produce, songwrites, model, actor)
3) Yeonjun (raps, sings, produce, songwrites, model, actor)
Some of your points are just your assumptions and it may lead to people getting the wrong idea. I hope you have some proof about your comment
@@ummehaniabid2617 Well as I stated, there is no actual proof hence why its just my THEORY instead of a fact. But I tried my best to explain my reasoning and facts that led me to think this way. Which part made you question it's reality or proofs? I would be happy to explain

Kim kibum aka key is an all rounder
He is the artist doing the most avant-garde art in the industry (as said by a lot of creative artists of the industry who have worked for him and those who haven't but want to work with him in the future). It's a pity that SM doesn't let their artists have complete control and artistic freedom over their solo projects, else taemin would've owned multiple self-written, composed, produced albums by now like Jonghyun
❤ also, speaking about Jonghyun, he is another artist that comes to my mind when I think about all rounder artists. His solo work is just so immaculate. And what a great performer as well. another one is Key. He blew my mind with his recent release Bad Love and it's amazing how much he contributed to that project that he worked on for almost a decade. And as you'd have guessed by now, I'm a SHINee simp. haha
best all rounders would be Yena from izone, Monday from weeeekly and Dino from Seventeen.
Recently discovered Kim Bora is all rounder as well, always thought She was the best vocalist of 4th gen but she can also rap as well as evidenced by her stint on gp999.
hyuna I think is a great example. chaeyoung is a good dancer, but I don't know if a GREAT one (i love her don't hate me please) like I consider an all rounder to be GREAT at everything, same with iu I haven't seen complicated choreos from her but I don't know a lot from her, but I love the praise because I think people overlook how talented these are. soyeon I think also Is great at everything
i feel like, ARMYs are more annoying than toxic... they were more toxic in 2018-2019 (unpopular opinion maybe?)
I'm really proud of where the fandom is now
@@nafitaffi yes they are but generalizing a whole group of fandom is not..right
Coz it doesn't make any sense , army's are good but the newer ones who knew bts after butter era ptd era etc.. aren't like the older army's, they are just immature tbh..I wish the fandom Mostly just appreciates the music and genuine support for their works. Rather than fighting for who's "oppa" is better , who is "most" handsome , "my ____(insert idol name) is better than u" .. (this goes for every fandoms)
@@nafitaffi yes lmaoao ofc they are
Taste of love by twice is the best and cohesive album we got this year argue with tv if you don't agree
YOUR VOICE IS SOOO CUTE OML
AHH THANK YOU SO MUCH OMG!🥺💖
Crazy to me how I’ve seen no one mention G-Dragon as an all-rounder. He’s the first person that comes to my mind when talking about all-rounders.
I agreed with all of your opinions... Thank you for this. Also your voice is very cute, I loved it.
Here are some of my unpopular opinions
0. *2021 kpop is the WORST*
No matter hard you try or scream, I dont care!!
Mafia didn’t slap the way Wannabe did! Alcohol free didn’t slap the way ICSM did! Next Level didn’t slap the way BM did! Psycho>>>>>>>Queendom!!!
*Most of the releases this year are "grow on me" songs. Why?!? Bops should be liked in the first listen!!!*
The only ones who slayed this year are: * Hybe groups, Ateez, Weekly and a few..
Ntm so many groups disbanded this year...
1. *J-hope is a better ace than Jungkook*
Okay, I don’t hate JK (I'm a OT7), But JH better in many categories, he is the dance machine, one of the greatest rapper, such an amazing producer and many more. I also personally think he is a better vocalist than rapper JK....
2. *God's Menu's chorus was BAD*
God's menu is one of the Most popular song in 2020, but it’s chorus is too disappointing!! Especially after that top tier pre chorus....
3. *ATEEZ deserves to be top 4 gen groups*
I know they are not underrate, but they deserves a bigger fandom and more wins!!
4. *Dances are boring without stage presence*
No matter how hard the choreography is or how good the dancer might be, dance lacks without stage presence. (tbh I'm talking about Momo here.)
Some of the group with best stage presence are Ateez, BTS, BP, Mamamoo etc..
5. *People hate on BTS and Armys for no reasons*
I can understand about hating on armys(I myself sometimes get disgusted by my own fandom) but BTS??? They are literally one of the most unproblematic groups. And still one of the most hated.... When you ask them they will say, "they are too popular " "They are westernized" (Bitch you dont even stan them in the first place, and its only 3 songs??)
6. *BTS is one of the only idols who actually learn from their mistakes*
No matter how hard you try to deny this but this is true!! Almost every group did racist shit on the past, but only a few of them actually changed. People still bring up BTS in everything, even after 7/8 years??? And especially when they didn’t run their mistakes and actually educated themselves???
People make me laugh...
This was long...
thank you so much omg, and thank you for sharing your opinions! I actually agree with all of these!!😮💖

Every fandom is toxic but y'all love to target ARMYs because they are huge and probably because of BTS's success too

@@dearyoongi you are welcome, you have a nice voice so it wasn't a problem 😁😁😁
I totally agree with no.2
New subscriber here! This is a really pleasant and reasonable video. Your voice is really great too!
Thank you so much!🥰
woodz es un all-rounder
ngl you’re voice is really cute
Ahh thank you so much!🥰🥰
please do listen to WOODZ albums, no filler tracks. And he is an allrounder
Ooh I definitely will, thank you!
I only heard Different from him and I love it but never looked into the rest of his music, will look at it now. thanks for the recommendation!!
YES! Your own voice!! YES!! Big improvement!
Thank you so much!😁
@@dearyoongi Totally subscribed. Love your vids.
I think han jisung of stray kids is an all- rounder. He is an amazing vocalist, rapper and is a good dancer. Another point he is also an amazing producer and songwriter
Not related to the video but Kim Chaehyun made it into the top9😭...am so happy
Oh did she? That's great!!🥺🥰
Han Jisung can sing, dance, rap, produce and write and he's extremely good at all of those aspects so I call him an all rounder, yes.
Bang chan too, he even has a sound engineer credit under his belt and he is also easily one of the best leaders in k-pop
1:10 ive been saying this for years lol
The all rounders ik are
Soyeon, chaeyeon and Yeji
I’m not sure but I feel like jungkook is and all rounder, if you listen to older songs he’s really good at rapping and his a great vocalist and dancer and he helps write and produce songs
WHEN U PUT WJSN FOR THE FILLER SONG OPINION I WAS LIKE 😳😳😳
Monday (Weeekly) is an all rounder, in imo
i do agree that armies have more mass and therefore more toxicity, but it's created a bigger culture overall. as a stay, i see this in my fandom as well. sometimes i meet armies that are so sweet, but all of a sudden will turn around and spew buzzwords and offensive language (slurs, insults, etc) just because you insult their favs. there's a sort of cultish energy the deeper you get into the fandom, where there are pockets who believe in really extreme things, like that you cant stan other groups or that BTS is the most talented group in kpop. ofc its fine to have an opinion on that, but they take it as fact and bring others down. however, i will say that if they were a smaller fandom, it wouldn't have turned into an army culture thing.
I agree no 2
Am in kpop for a long time ago so for ur last opinion I think kpoppers don't really the difference between their artists like mostly usa/Europe and the kpop/jpop industry, those r idols not artists per say they always existed to "entertain" not to be seen, that's why the kpop in Korea is not popular, basically few years back then a contract for 10 years or more(indefinitely until paying debt) may seem not beneficial to the company especially if they flop but fact is most of us don't see the bts(behind the scene) of their industry, see (mostly gg) idols do perform for private gathering as a group or individual, they were "asked" to dine, assist or entertain rich business men in exchange for money(the money is split by the company, manager and idol) it's was never just inkigayo, they often were deprived of sleep because they did not have a free day,if there I no schedule (concert/fanmeetings/ festivals, appearances on school festivities...etc)then they were booked for politicians and homme d'affaires, radio shows/TV shows or over seas festivals, so a longer contract worked for companies as they made a lot of money like that....SM ent😒.
I disagree with last one as some groups become popular after 5 years
They would not renew if they r not popular and furture stars won’t exist
since no one is mentioning him j-hope is an amazing all rounder, everyone's always focusing on jk (like i'm not hating on him i'm an army) but geez give him some credit he's way better producer, writter, dancer and rapper than jk, also i'm not saying it's jks fault to get all the spotlight hybe should really sort their stuff out and stop wasting hobis talent (not only hobis but jins as well but that's another topic).
oh also han and woodz are both crazy all rounders as well i don't stan either of them, just occasionally listen to their music, but the talent is literally oozing out if them.
i love your voice
Aw thank you so much!💖

@@oishipoddar5655 yayy hi im a carat too! who is your bias?😁

Oof. Huge disagree on number 2. Even before they hit big, ARMY's were already toxic. I've been listening to kpop since gen 2 and I remember that fiasco about someone using "BTS" over a behind-the-scenes youtube video lol. having a bigger fandom just enabled this toxic behavior to perpetuate.
why do you always spit facts?
Thank you so much! Somebody gotta do ittt🥰
if the 5 years contracts were a thing we may wouldn’t have experience the brave girls “kpop miracle”
I would call SuA of Dreamcatcher an all-rounder. Her biggest strength is dancing, which she is excellent at, but she is also a great singer (has belted in singles, has carried some of the harder vocal parts) and can rap (she raps in Good Night and in BEcause).
