Vinegar on fish and chips is actually very common anywhere in the world where theres some kind of british influence. Since they colonised about half the world, that means almost everywhere else in the world 😂.

Salt and vinegar on fish and chips elevate it to another level, as does eating it by the sea after it’s freshly caught and cooked.
Also, a fun fact is some people offer milk and sugar on your chips, they mean salt and vinegar 😂😂

Watching Mrs. D's reaction when the guy said he learned the style from Italians made me laugh because it's the same for me when I watched it days ago.

As an Aussie it’s pretty normal to use vinegar too. Most shops will have it. To be honest I can’t say I love it. I don’t usually put it on. But I 100% will eat it. If a friend bought it with vinegar and said do I want hall I’m eating it.

Vinegar replaces lemon juice. Very common in Great Britain.

I haven't had fish & chips but I imagine it's a bit like squeezing lemon on your fish. Also I believe they use malt vinegar which has a different flavor profile to white vinegar.

Love vinegar and sea salt on fish and chip and mushy peas. The best vinegar (for me) is malt vinegar not white vinegar.

Pepper pig is British , I thought mushy peas were gross till I tried mushy pea pie , it was delicious , South Americans make great Sole fish dishes . those last chips looked like Kumara chips , Kumara is a type of sweet potatoe that Maori picked up from the South Americans before colonization , Maori and the Andelean people of South America call it Kumara. It is purple or white skinned with yellow flesh

In Philippines, we dip fried fish in soysauce with vinegar/lime. So i guess it's a common mix in many places! ❤

Mushy peas are not garden peas as in the video but marrow fat peas.

I get what you're saying about seasoning.. I like seasoning too!! But I think alot of people like too much seasoning, a little too much.. to the point where all you taste is the seasoning and you actually don't know anymore what you seasoned in the first place.. seasoning should compliment and accentuate the flavour of the original ingredient, not take over completely.. and no one should get to the point where they can't eat something and enjoy it without it being heavily seasoned of drenched in whatever sauce.. just because that's what they're used too or have become accustomed too.. people out here plagued with hight blood pressure, diabetes, limbs falling all off and still seasoning anything they can lay they hand too with garlic powder, onion powder, lawries season salt and hot sauce, just cos they can.. 😆😆 like DAMN..

"There is a whole lot of cultures mixed up in there" That's the UK in a nutshell, bear in mind our culture goes back 5000 years.. loving your content, Long time sub to Jolly and Korean Englishmen here, I would like to see you cook some Buda Jjigea (Korean Army base Stew) Joshes favourite Korean dishes. it has a great story and is very easy to make with common American ingredients..

Why so stingy with the chips and especially with the mushy peas in the last location?
