Kinda insane though that the players stance is “I don’t want to upgrade my character or use good weapons or do anything “cheesy” but I do demand fromsoft lowers the difficulty”. How does that logic work?
The main problem was they didn't do a good job of introducing the players to the new level up system with the blessings. I honestly like the system because you level up through exploration instead of grinding.
@@cyrus2306 exactly. im a purist, been playing souls games 15 years now i think? this dlc was overly tuned, whether it be damage in a lot of ways or particle effects on certain bosses causing you to be blind to attacks. it needed a nerf, the majority of elden ring's player base (non-veterans and more casual players who enjoyed the base game) would not be able to beat this without the most cheese builds in the world, rather than what they found fun to use. when you take away build choice (which it was for the average player's skill level) in a game where choice in how you play is the fun of the game, you lose the fun.
Everyone's talking about the final boss, and rightly so, it's tough, but im surprised people arent talking about Bayle The Dread. That boss is the hardest boss, bar none. Beyond a joke.
@@Jared-ln1pd I think some of the later bosses are overtuned or janky, yes (last boss in particular, Gaius, Bayle). The world itself and the general slate of enemies, no. This nerf effects the entire slate of enemies, which is a shame, I thought it was already balanced quite well.
As a gamer crippled with severe physical and mental disabilities, I hope they add keyboard and mouse support for this game to Xbox because it requires less skill.
Yall. I’ve been playing the souls games since 1. This dlc was actually overly ridiculous. It needed to be nerfed. Some of us have lives outside video games
facts man. ive beaten the final boss pre-scadutree frag nerf at 11, still agree it needs a nerf. average gamer cant handle it as is, and majority of elden ring's playerbase is average gamers.
Oh come on, it did not need a nerf at all. You just needed to use the scadutree fragments or use summons instead of review bombing the game and ruin it for the rest of us who enjoy the challenge. It happens every time something’s actually challenging too. People don’t want to learn and just complain. Stop being prideful and use the tools it offers you or even play literally any other game out there.
@@SG-qg2pg you realize the inverse of what you just said exists right? The nerf absolutely does not ruin anything for someone who wants that challenge because you can simply, NOT use the tools that are there. Don’t level the fragments, don’t use summons, hell don’t even wear armor and use your fists. Boom there’s your “challenge” There’s nothing to learn beyond “don’t get hit”
??? They didn't lower the difficulty, they buffed the scadurtree levels to balance it with the bosses.

I hate tourists so much.
This is why gatekeeping is important and needs to ALWAYS be done.
facts
Some of the purists were calling out it's difficulty out too lol

The fact that fromsoft actually toned it down should be evident enough to you idiots, that it actually was excessive

I had a way easier time with that boss than I should have
They didn’t lower difficulty though?? Maybe understand the patch before you title your video lmao
They absolutely did, according to any reputable sources. Because you don't want to admit it, doesn't make it false
Pathetic. It was hard but not that hard.
They were lazy its hard
have you beaten the last boss? If not, you dont really have much right to say anything.

Imagine crying about a souls game being too hard lol. Isn't that what they are for?😂
Of course modern gamers want their hands held
