She recorded under the psudoenym Jane with Conjure One on the tracks One Word, Endless Dream, Center of the Sun, Make a Wish, and Extraordinary Way. You can also search for her cover of Our Lips Are Sealed by the Go Go's. Not much, but at least a few additional recordings of this amazing voice.
I fell in love with her beauty attitude and voice from the 1st moment I heard her and laid eyes on her when I was 16 in 1996. I still listen to and cherish both of her albums to this day and she has one of my favorite voices of all time. I hope she makes music again one day
Thank you for your comment simon, i'm glad you enjoyed this. Just in case, here is another tv performance by Poe ruclips.net/video/LGdFALMIVpM/видео.html
So sad i discovered her so long after she stopped making music. Got into her for her album Haunted, cause House of Leaves is my FAVORITE BOOK EVERRR but I really love Hello too! I wish she had more albums for me to love :(
Saw her and Cameron only, open for Violent Femmes in like 97 or 98 at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix Az. Strong female. Highly intelligent with her heart dedicated to art and expression. Being such a small intimate venue, that night we were family. And she was incredible. One of my few best moments(cuz there weren’t many)of the 90s.
Bummer that they cut away from her to the guitarist when she tossed the mic stand. I don't think I've ever seen a cellist get that into the flow. Also the bass is so crunchy, it's a beautiful thing. Awesome.
Saw her front row on the main stage at a festival in 96 early in the day and she stole the show until the headliners came on 12 hours later….the cellist was literally riding his instrument the entire show….A pretty amazing 45 minutes!
And ... I heard this for the first song ... today! My wife and I were cruising around, listening to the radio. I looked over and said "Kind of a 90's vibe, huh?" Turns out there was a reason for that. So bummed, I thought a cool new band had come along. (Where was I in the 90s ...? Busy.)
Much better then the studio version, the louder, more distorted guitar makes it a different, better song. And as for the Psycho shirt, I love a woman who comes with a warning!
i recorded this on VHS back in the day when it first aired. no idea where the tape got to, but i watched this so many times. glad to see it on here in good quality!!! thanks steelygray !
You're welcome. I posted this because t's a rare one and because i like it. Thank you for leaving a comment. Here's another tv version of Angry Johnny from the same period: ruclips.net/video/LGdFALMIVpM/видео.html
Haunted was such a killer album. Bought the cd at circuit city right before a five hour road trip from Lubbock to Dallas. That cd was on repeat almost the entire way there.
One of her songs (Control) was in a ps1 game featuring Bruce Willis, called 'Apocalypse' with a slightly more grungey/nu metal tone to the guitars. Good song (and a good game)
I didn't really like this song when I was growing up (I was like 13/14 when it came out) but just tripping through RUclips world I came across this version and this is absolutely banging
I saw her when she opened for Seven Mary Three a while back. She gave a show and had a lot of passion when she performed. Very beautiful woman also. Hope she is doing well as I haven’t heard anything from her in a long time.
I seen her open up for 7Mary3 back in the 90s at SOMA in San Diego. I couldn't remember if the music was good or the 3 hits of LSD I was on when i seen them.
I only bought the tape cassette for that song! the video was on Much Music! Back then, they were showing all the music videos! Not like today! reality tv crap and so on! ain't the same!
I hafta make a comment just bcuz theres 69 hehe.. love this song & didnt know she done conan per the d8 i obviously had other stuff goin on lol so is NE1 still listening to this n 2021 or is it just me?!? Lol if U c this then happy new year and may 2021 please be better than 2020 ✌🏼
It's crazy that come to find out most of her albums/songs are about/inspired by her bio. Brothers Mark z, Daniellzkie (pen name) Book..marked one of the most disturbingly fantastical books ever written called House of Leaves which swept me to the brink of insanity as a teen BUt the main character is Angry Johnny..and that's all I'm gonna say..good luck
Another artist that was a victim of the record company crashes ... a damn shame they couldn't at least keep some of these artists going during the entire boy band bullshit phase.
She accurately and beautifully captures the utter vitriolic hatred that is in the heart of some women. The desire to destroy a man using any possible method.
Sounds so much better live. The music is so far back in the mix on the record. She’s friggin gorgeous. Bass player needs to settle the fuck down. Small stage bro.
Her timing is so unique. So chill but precise. Kills me everytime.
The lyrics are so creative. You’ve gotta be in a certain state of mind to craft a song like this. Lightning in a bottle moment I imagine.
Crazy that I've been listening to this for almost thirty years. It holds up.
such an underrated artist. I wonder why her career was so short, pure talent here
Not her....the record label. It was very, very ugly. They aol time warner merger I believe. It's been a few years. The record label was horrid to her.
@@InfectedChris IIRC she released one more album and then they stalled her 3rd, which consequently never got released.
@@erika6651 Yes, Haunted, which was largely a soundtrack to her brother's book, was released and it was absolutely stunning.
A lot of artists in the 90s got swallowed up by the record company crashes. A damn shame. Dreams shattered.

Haunted one of my favorite albums of all time.
psst, you may want to look at her channel.
Jesus this was awesome. Always loved Poe. This is now my favorite version of this song.
I think I still like the album version better, but it was a real treat to see this live version.
MAN THAT WAS INTENSE! Why can't we have this kinda performances on TV anymore? Long time fan of Poe but had never seen this until now. Wow!
Thank you for your comment simon, i'm glad you enjoyed this. Just in case, here is another tv performance by Poe ruclips.net/video/LGdFALMIVpM/видео.html
It was the ass end of the 20th century.
Thanks for posting
So sad i discovered her so long after she stopped making music. Got into her for her album Haunted, cause House of Leaves is my FAVORITE BOOK EVERRR but I really love Hello too! I wish she had more albums for me to love :(
Her new song for Alan Wake II was so good, it got my hopes up for another album
POE's first record is one of the best debut albums of all-time.
So underrated
Give me this alto forever! Where has her voice gone?
Too bad it was never released on vinyl 😠
She was beautiful! Amazing performance, love this song, feel like going back and listening to both albums again!!!
Poe has one of the Best Female Voices of All Time!!
I remember listening to this song for the first time on the radio, an acurate and amazing 90's experience... and yes, she's heavenly beautiful.
She was special. Truly one of a kind like Alanis, shirley, nina, sarah, and sheryl were.
I will never forgive the music industry for killing her career

In case any of you kids were wondering, this is what an artist sounds like and looks like
Oh god stop with this same old comment on every old artist
Im from Argentina and a big Poe's fan! Her two albums are amazing. "Strange Wind" beautiful song, and her songs with Conjure One Are Great.
Gracias por escribir, un saludo.
I HAVE MAD RESPECT - Simply because she doesn't hold back. Softly. With a big stick. 😎👌👍🤘💖
I grew up on this in high school (90s) and miss legit talent.
She's so exquisite live! A treat ☺️ Glad I caught her back then. Hoping for more ❤
Right after my birthday.....fell in love with Poe......under the radar, low key....she knows wuss up
I remember watching this performance on TV with her beating on those cymbals!!
There's nothing like a live performances from the 90s😏💖
Such a haunting song, amazing rendition, very mesmerizing presence 🖤
I helped push her back on stage after a stage dive. Fantastic performance. Grant Street Dance Hall, Lafayette LA 8/16/1996!
Love her, wish there was more.
And ... I heard this for the first song ... today! My wife and I were cruising around, listening to the radio. I looked over and said "Kind of a 90's vibe, huh?" Turns out there was a reason for that. So bummed, I thought a cool new band had come along. (Where was I in the 90s ...? Busy.)

just bought record store day vinyl of hello that came out last month...love this song, love poe
Wow I just saw this performance for the first time. That is freakin' passion. That band got into that performance!!!!!
This is so good!! I got to see her when she toured for this album. Amazing artist
This version is seriously way better than their album version
This is a true live performance!!! AMAZING!!
I seen her open for 7M3 while I was tripping on some acid freaking awesome show
Its song i heard was Hello.
I was hooked on loop for every other song
The louder and crunchier guitars, and the lack of the synth-heaviness, make this a totally awesome but very different spin on the original
I feel like I love her, this song makes me feel so many things it's amazing.
October 5, 2021: where has PoE gone?
fucking amazing Jonny Bones The G.O.A.T
One of her songs (Control) was in a ps1 game featuring Bruce Willis, called 'Apocalypse' with a slightly more grungey/nu metal tone to the guitars. Good song (and a good game)

Saw her in Biloxi. '97. So good! Loved her then she poofed.
I saw her when she opened for Seven Mary Three a while back. She gave a show and had a lot of passion when she performed. Very beautiful woman also. Hope she is doing well as I haven’t heard anything from her in a long time.
outro grande talento que sofreu por empresa
Real ass music right here
They rocked this performance I'm sorry they didn't put out more music.
she's awesome
That was... Awesome!
I like her song haunted..
It’s deep and has real meaning.
Bought her first CD..what a voice...Then she just vanished..🙅
I ❤that Cello! 🎶🤗
Makes me feel downtown LA 1984. I'm deep inthere.
WOW! 😲
Love this one! Had it on cassette for some reason, lol. Thanks for posting this gem!
20,000 views..should be 1,000,000
Buena presentacion, gracias por subir el video.
Muchas gracias por dejar tu comentario.
POE will you blow me … away
Damn this was 🔥
Love the attack on the cymbals.
I seen her open up for 7Mary3 back in the 90s at SOMA in San Diego. I couldn't remember if the music was good or the 3 hits of LSD I was on when i seen them.
2024. Still an original!
i love it so much...!!!!!!!pretty coolllllll
I never heard this before, its sounds good
I only bought the tape cassette for that song!
the video was on Much Music!
Back then, they were showing all the music videos!
Not like today! reality tv crap and so on!
ain't the same!
Love her
This is my favorite rendition along with Collective Soul's performance on Conan
I hafta make a comment just bcuz theres 69 hehe.. love this song & didnt know she done conan per the d8 i obviously had other stuff goin on lol so is NE1 still listening to this n 2021 or is it just me?!? Lol if U c this then happy new year and may 2021 please be better than 2020 ✌🏼
Amazing
You know, no matter how long since you read it, you are somehow always in the House.
This is so much better than the studio version
total bad ass!
she was almost huge........and she would have been awesome
What? This was nearly 25 years ago! Wow!
Epic
this is better than the albums version, too .
All I hear is 90s ;)
Really upset with what the record merger did to her career.
Those who killed her career must be guillotined
I wanna go back....
my son was 4 days old .
xD
Gellert Grindelwald can Rock!!! 😉🙏❤🎃👻POE!!!

The whole 2nd albu.
No hard feelings Poe. Love it
Bring the fucking 90s back!! Let's hope for some sort of a revolution in the 2020s to end this dumbass pop trend
She was so real the industry shelved her 3rd album and kinda stood in her way from creating more elsewhere.
Yoo who here in 21?
HOOLY SHIT
Lmao I know right? This is insane?
Another artist that was a victim of the record company crashes ... a damn shame they couldn't at least keep some of these artists going during the entire boy band bullshit phase.
