Yes I am tired of the same old armor in minecraft...
And I'm tired of pretending I'm not.

If Mojang added custom armor then I would be satisfied.
I think SystemZee may have gone a bit too far, but here are my ideas
A. First of all add more tool types (I think adding Bronze and Silver would be a good idea) and add armor along with that
B. Give every mob that has armour points an item that they drop, and allow it to be crafted into a type of armor that is roughly the same level as chainmail for most defences but will give you a special status effect if you wear a full set.
For example turtle armour could expand on the turtle shell
Shulker armour could give slow falling
Magma Cube armour could give fire resistance
Two additional armoured mobs could be added that give Invisibility or Night Vision
But we shouldn't add more than that because those are all the defensive status effects
I want even stronger optional bosses and higher tier armor or worse armor with effects

For the Ender Armor, i could totally see adding a teleport ability similar to Ender Pearls, but instead of the player taking damage, the armor itself degrades until it breaks.
The molten armor kinda looks like pumpkin armor tbh.
Oh and Terraria has molten armor.

Imagine being able to make slime boots that act like a slime block, or a pair of ender eye goggles that let you teleport maybe once per minute.
a tnt chestplate would quite literally be a bomb vest
My versions of some of these armors, along with a few of my own:
Molten Armor: Grants basic fire protection (that gradually consumes levels), lights enemies on fire if they touch you, lets you throw fireballs as long as you have nothing in your off hand.
Ice Armor: Increases your speed on ice and snow, lets you launch ice shards at enemies as long as you have nothing in your off hand, and allows you to freeze water sources to cross over them.
Ender Armor: Lets you look at Endermen without turning them hostile, allows limited teleportation (Distance based on levels), allows you to fall into the void once and survive (but you use all of your levels to do so).
Wither Armor: Grants you withering power, consumes levels to allow you to hover like a Wither, lets you hurl a wither projectile that can destroy blocks.
Creeper Armor: Basically lets you blow up like a creeper and allows you to see in dark areas like mineshafts.
Squid Armor: Increases your swim speed and gives you an ink squirt that allows you to escape enemies.
Pillager's clothing: Allows you to blend in with pillagers, avoiding detection near outposts unless you attack them. A drop from dead pillagers.
Golem Armor: Greatly increases your strength and number of hearts, but reduces your speed considerably. Allows you to punch opponents without a weapon to great effect.
Ranger's Clothing: Improves the range and accuracy of your ranged weapons.

I could see the squid armor as a way to swim faster and breathe under water
On a side note, I would love to see “customizable” armor (using banners to decorate armor)
Make an armor that you can get from guardians, and the set bonus is a prismarine crystal that shoots a guardian laser at enemies.
So the cactus just makes you not able to pick things up. The ender armor is a more expensive pumpkin, the squid armor just emits particles, and the end crystal armor just heals the dragon.
There are so many better ways to utilize this potential!
If TNT armor would be added to vanilla minecraft, the community would be EXPLOSIVE with that addition, it would really BLOW UP.
in my opinion, TNT armor would only explode when the player wearing it gets hit, so crouching wouldn't be a problem in situations like speedbridging. it would have low-ish durability, and would be mostly made out of iron. the explosion won't break blocks, and acts as a thorns effect. the more pieces of the armor, the stronger the blast. With cactus armor, it would create projectiles that fly out, giving more range at the cost of damage. With squid armor, the explosion would have a chance to slow and blind enemies, if blindness works on them. basically, if you take damage, enemies die or, if they survive, will be slowed and blinded, allowing for a quick escape. End crystal armor would work differently, granting an aura that heals tamed animals and the player. the explosion from tnt would also heal allies, but not the player (to prevent immortality). Glass armor will gain increased range for the shards. Ghost armor will work like an indirect upgrade to squid armor, with temporary boosts to stats upon taking damage.

I like the way that systemZee build in minecraft but there's no series in the channel that show us this today. If had one i would to watch everything.
The emerald armour for moving villagers is actually genius

Extra armor bar, unbreakable.
Obsidian armor
Can only break with diomond weapons, crotch to enter/exit the Nether.
Lapis armor
Gives weapons, tools and unused armor random enchantment(s) if you have XP.
Red stone armor
Activates any mechanical device (doors, pistons, rails)
Fun fact: Diamond is good at scratching things, but it's as weak as glass. That glass armor is a good representation of real Diamond Armor

I love these ideas so much. I am a HUGE fan of Omni games (Where you get the powers of other creatures of things in the game) so this makes me so hyped!

In my opinion, I think it would be better if the TNT armour gave the same protection as leather, but exploded on death instead. This would destroy all your items but would be a sort of suicide vest.

Glass would be OP if it "breaks" the same way an Elytra does. Mending could fix it so you can replenish it mid battle or after killing a mob since it's durability would max instantly. Enchanting bottles or skulk blocks would be useful too to get xp on demand
Do you think could have Turtle chestplate, Turtle leggings and Turtle boots?
Turtle Helmet: Water Breathing
Scute Chestplate: Resistance
Scute Leggings: Dolphins Grace
Turtle boots: Float on Water (unless sneaking)

The squid armor should have the same amount of armor points as leather armor, and so should the cactus armor.
you should make these into cosmetics so they will fit vanilla minecraft very well
Something that makes transporting villagers easier? YES I’ve killed like 10 out of pure rage for them just wandering off into a place where I can’t get them out of
A missed opportunity. I would have loved to have seen wood armor, obsidian armor, and spider armor. For wood armor, it's as weak as leather but you can repair it with..idk, wax or bone meal. Obsidian could be the toughest and most durable but at the cost that it's not repairable or it reduces movement speed or attack speed. Spider armor could be as weak as leather but reduces fall damage and allows for wall climbing. Wool armor: strong against ice attacks and dye-able like leather but weak against fire.
I mean I would not complain if these were added, even the glass armor. I think it would be fun to have a hall of armor with these.

Elythra armor: 7 elythras along a netherite armor: a netherite armor which can fly
Lader armor: turns any blood ino climbable surfaces
Redstone armor: sends redstone signals
Magma armor: 4 lava buckets 3 obsidian 1 netherite armor: lava immunity and fire aspect
Ender armor+ eye of ender in the armor shape along an ender dragon egg: teleportation, levitation on contact
My thoughts:
Elytra armor concept is cool but the crafting recipe is not pog.
Ladder armor sounds wierd.
I like the redstone armor sure.
The magma armor is pretty cheap but way too op.

It would be cool if you could swim in lava while wearing glass armor,but it will break after few minutes under lava or if somebody hits you
I think shulker armor could be a good idea, it gives a bit def. and knockback res. just like the shulker shell. It also gives immunity to levitation and arrows you shoot give the levitation effect when having the full armor set
With the squid armor you should be able to breath underwater like a squid
QUICK QUESTION! Do I have to wear the full set for the effect to work? Can I not use ender armor and squid armor? Combining armor would be cool and there could be like an effect hierarchy and certain pieces hold more effect then others? Like squid pants are the most effective and ender helmets are the best for the passive enderman effect? I need answers!

I think the TNT ability should decrease the durability of the armor, as well as 2.5 hearts of damage, so the player can’t just do it over and over and over again
I do not think the idea of TNT armor is very minecrafty, but maybe an enchantment on armor that would make the user explode on death
Both the Expensive and End Armors are very cool. However, to live up to it's name, the Expensive Armor should be crafted with Emerald Blocks.

I kinda like the TnT armor, it WOULD make mining a lot easier. But then again the emerald armor would be very useful in moving an entire village worth of villagers to a new location.

Glass armor should stop creeper from exploding.
The explosive armor would help in fighting beacause there cheap to make and if you have some magma blocks then you could just place one down touch the magma block and then run at the player.But then again it would be bad in the late game.
TNT armor should detonate when you are killed, like a suicidal attack or martyrdom
End crystal armor. Last i checked, those crystals are volatile. Putting that into armor form? You’re a walking bomb waiting to go off

ok what if the glass armor had the ability of the beacon changing color when its colored and lava visibility. for molten armor it could make it where you can ride a strider anywhere. for squid it should have water breathing and the said ink but also a glow squid variant which makes you a torch but at the cost of enemies seeing you better from far away. the emerald should not be armor but a charm, which if sold gived a temporary effect of free items from said villager. and a new type being nether portal armor. the nether portal would teleport enemies to the nether or spawn enemies from the nether. but the cactus armor should have invisibility to sneak away from enemies in the desert only in daytime.
The reason Mojang hasn't added emerald armor is because they want emerald to be used for trading ONLY
