44:26 so fun fact, the word Dagon is not Dragon misspelt, instead it is rather a name, in most cases it is the name of a deity, in Alex's caves the achievement "Order of Dagon" is a reference to a specific Fish Monster deity from H.P lovecraft known as Dagon, who was inspired by Dagon, the fertility god of grains and fish
Exactly! The Deep Ones are also Lovecraftian creatures, who worship Dagon and trade their treasures with the humans of the town of Innsmouth in exchange for fish and riches, probably what inspired the bartering mechanic. Except Lovecraft's Deep Ones aren't friendly at all, and eventually these trades turn into them taking over Innsmouth and demanding human sacrifices.
@@starkillersneed makes me want a lovecraft themed mod where you barter with deep ones, summon elder gods, and go slowly insane.
@@dianamarr4221 dunno if there's a trade mechanic in it, but there actually is a pretty good Lovecraft themed mod for 1.12, it's called Abyssalcraft. Never made it all that far into it to be able to tell ya more though. Hate that it's not been updated for current versions but it's worth messing around with.

It occurs to me that setting off a weapon of mass destruction in a place dedicated to sacrifices to unknowable dark gods might have had some, uhh, unintended consequences. Maybe it's for the best that the hardcore world ended with you.

@@objetosmassivosopticos6893 Well, if the location the detonation came from made the deaths caused by it count as sacrifices, then it cound very well summon those dark gods to ravage the world.
@@Ryu_Dyes but Dark Gods usually require some silly rites and rituals for the sacrifice to count. If someone gets stabbed by a regular dagger it doesn't count but to be stabbed by the Ritual dagger of Oz'ravk would fulfill the requirements.

“Mountain Dew water” from the radioactive biome reminds me of the green sludge water from the sewers in Futurama, that the mutants built their homes next to.

It's such a cool mod. The tablet mini game is fun, especially working with someone else. Finding the biomes is such a unique mechanic. Is there any timescale on the new biomes? Or is it just vague soon?

Holy cow, the magnet caves are probably one of the coolest concepts I've ever seen! It somehow melds nature and machines together seamlessly to create a unique ecosystem (all the mods _in general_ were really really cool!)

The capsule on the head of the nucleeper slowly closing before the explosion is definitely a reference to the demon core incident
The primordial caves feels similar to Primal, Jurassic World, and the third ice age movie.
The toxic caves also feel similar to the fallout franchise

Seriously one of my favorite videos you’ve ever made. Doing mod showcases with a narrative framework is such a fantastic idea, and it was really cool to see the usual (rightfully beloved) SystemZee goofy antics slowly shift to a more sincere tone as the themes of the biomes became more and more sinister.
Should have subbed a long time ago, but I’ve corrected that oversight now.
Here’s hoping for more stuff like this now and again. I think there’s plenty of room for this kind of artistry to go with the silliness.
I don't think we need Minecraft movie now. System Zee just out did by making series about Alex's caves that was easily ten stars and didn't even need Jack Black. Bravo my guy. Bravo! Not since Rogue One have I been so sad and yet satisfied.

@@syszee All your content is usually pretty awesome but that reminded me of the awesome days when people told full stories in Minecraft. Before the dark times of the Algo made most unable to just make whatever they wanted. It's good to see some still defy it.

As a fan of the Origins mod, and now this one, I can imagine some of the origins would absolutely thrive in some of these caves.
Playing this with alex mobs makes primordial caves so hard, for some reason it spawned thousands of cave centipedes and murmurs for me
If it persist you try deleting your Alex's caves config file
now we need an Alex's Cliffs mod

Here’s my idea for the next “I coded your ideas into Minecraft“ video. Power Rangers Megazords that you could craft using Power Rangers crafting tables themed after each of the 30 seasons. Example: an MMPR crafting table that you could get by surrounding a normal crafting table in power coins.
I hope you revisit this mod when the next update comes out! I heard they are gonna be adding enchantments, Some new dinos, and a volcano themed boss
