      I agree that they should have had a socket for the fuses, but you have to realize that you're supposed to have a 300 amp fuse after the battery connected to the inverter. If you do that, you should never blow the internal fuses.

    Just out of curiosity, would the performance be equal if the GFCI was working at the 50 mark instead of 90? It sounded like from what you where saying, is that this company sacrifice customers safety for better performance.

    Looks like a nice product. Only issue I see is that the fuses are soldered in. What's the point of a fuse if you can't change them if needed?

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Год назад +3

      Compared to other inverters I've tested, it did very well. I agree they should have sockets to put the fuses in. You also have to realize that you're supposed to use a 300 amp fuse with this inverter. If you do that, the internal fuses should never be able to blow. Thanks for watching!

    Your initial comments in reviewing the manual, indicated that the output was 110 VAC. Yet your testing indicated 120 VAC. Was this just a fluke or do these units as a whole have an 120 VAC output?

    Appreciate the review. Haven't seen many inverters with a GFCI built into them. I like the added protection, but don't know how it would actually work in my situation. My RV always trips the outside GFCI outlets on my house whenever I plug it in. Doesn't matter if all the RV circuit breakers are shut off. Have heard this is a common problem and everyone recommends not plugging into a GFCI outlet. Looking for an inverter that I can mount in a storage bay and plug my RV into directly when boondocking (with plenty of solar, of course). The GFCI on this unit concerns me......

      Depending on your power demands. I don’t know what you’re running, but it will definitely run my Altos and Turbosound subs or my Crown XLi1500 and a couple of subs. Only issue you’re gonna run into is toting a large enough battery bank to power the equipment long enough for a gig. I ended up getting a Generac 2200i inverter generator because it was so much easier and a gallon of gas was enough to get me thru a 7 hour gig on Eco mode. It is super quiet so it was only about 15 feet away from equipment. Most people don’t even realize it’s there. I do recommend a power conditioner for extra protection of equipment.

      Don't hook up this inverter to the car battery, you will get a reduced life out of the starter motor, battery and alternator.
      The battery used for the test is better suited as the voltage drop is much lower.

    • @dans5595
      @dans5595 Год назад

      @@JT-lq4yd is there a product similar to this that can be installed in a conventional motor vehicle, and run it off the battery, and run the car to top off the battery, without the problems you noted? you said it could be used in an RV. i'm not an RV-er. is it typical to have 12v Li battery in an RV?
      how can i get a power inverter of this capacity to work at a picnic site, like i originally said?

    • @JT-lq4yd
      @JT-lq4yd Год назад

      @@dans5595 There are devices that work, pricey, but are available. eNm has reviewed Power Stations, they are just a battery, power inverter, charging circuit and some USB ports.
      The other is exactly the way it was showed in the video, a power inverter and batteries.
      I just don't recommend charging high amp hour capacity batteries using the car's stock charging system.

    Nice. I would have thought a Pure Sine Wave Inverter with a GFCI would cost a lot more than $288.68! Looks like a clean build inside, too. It's a shame that you can't get 3000W continuous, unless maybe it depends on the devices connected, but for a Pure Sine Wave Inverter, I guess ~2500W is OK. Thanks, Scoptt.
