Lol, I bought this exact same inverter and installed it in my van to run a small medical oxygen concentrator during a road trip... way overkill, but I have lots of excess power now if I ever need it!! 😁
Great video and the system seems to be running pretty well even with the cylinder green cells . That charge controller is looking great . Keep it up even with the sungold inverter. May the solar be with you .🤗☀️☀️🤙
I would like to see a "pure sine wave" inverter evaluation that shows the spectral characteristics with resistive as well as reactive loads. So far, I have seen no You-Tubers do this.
Loud, it’s dependent on internal temperature. My personal experience with most cheaper inverters is the fans do not ramp on, it’s on or off. They move a lot of air so fairly noisy. But other then that seems to work good
Sure at the time it was a Lifepo4 setup? About 2 kwh of capacity, I’ve since went 48 volt for my main setup, and my 12 volt setup has been moved to a cart, check out some of my other videos
I started to dable with solar and im a big gamer so you know im goinf to game of it. I can run my xbox one s and a tv for hours ! Aslong as theres sun. Never runs out unless its night time, but i do have a 20ah battery. Its my culprit. All with just a 400watt harbkr freight modefied wave inverter. Solar is insane. Im going to try n go full splar with a project im planning on.
Anyone know of a video that doesn't require a degree in whatever subject this is? It's like he's speaking Chinese. All I want to know is can I run a mini fridge with an inverter? Yes or no?
Nice video. It's a piece of crap. I hooked it up to a small ac it went smoking eight away. Trashed at less then 980 watts. Also, warranty on harbor freight junk is only 90 days. IF you don't buy their optional crap. $300 bucks Burn baby burn.
Yea idk well see how it holds up. I have a large sungold inverter for large loads, this is only for small stuff. I'd buy a new one and put the old one in the box then return it!
I myself don't like Harbor Freight stuff. But in all fairness, you probably overloaded the inverter. If sustained power was 980 watts, then the startup surge may be double that, which may have smoked it. I just got the Renogy 1000 watt pure sine inverter and i'm not gonna load it past 5-600 watts. When i expand my solar system i'll get a second inverter to run additional stuff so i don't max out anything.
I have a full-size freezer in my garage and I just picked up the 2000 W pure inverter so far it has no problems running the full-size freezer
Just to add to it, I plugged in a 5000 BTU AC and ran both of them no problem
How long can you run the freezer on a full battery?

Yea most people don’t have the equipment to measure that, but maybe I can find an oscilloscope and see what we measure as far as wave form and so on,
Great review. I’m in for this HF inverter. 😊 thanks!
What size wire did you leverage in that setup? Appreciate the vid!
@@hsidder it was 4 awg
@@Mikebuildss thanks for confirming.
I just got ,one will be testing it out later today.
Great videos on this product, I watch pretty much all of them. I never caught the fan noise level on this product. how is it, noise wise?

I see the Rock Auto Magnets:) can you expound on the battery bank?

If you had to guestimate, how much do you think you have invested in your system?
Around 1500 I’d say

It’s fun to power stuff with the sun lol. I try to learn and improve as I go and so far so good!
How much cost that inverter?
It was around 300 dollars
I would have bought one if it came in a 24v version.
Hook it up to the microwave

You can absolutely run a mini fridge with this!

@@lawrencedavidson6195 bro its a 2000w inverter. DId you do the math.
@@MrLegendfx Oh dear, sry, i thought it was a 1000 watt, my bad. However thats why i am not fond of anything at Harbor Freight.
I love to fart, too.
