Turns out the plural for torus is tori. Interesting.
Yep, I always learn something new from your tutorials...Cheers!
Someone's been playing too much Knuckles' Chaotix
Very good tutorial and on the point! Very helpful, thank you for sharing!
That's amazing, thanks alot
Great tutorial thanks!
Thanks Pixxo
Nice. Thanks
Very nice tut! Is it possible to make the bottom ring falling down with gravity? I tried with rigid body but does not work..
What do you do to make the bottom torus free moving so that moving the top torus causes the bottom swing on the cloth?
The bottom ring just tears through the cloth. I put mine the same spacing as yours, what did I do wrong?
I did it again, same settings (that I can see) as yours and the bottom ring still goes right through the cloth. I assume your default torus is 2m? (It looks like 2 units, but since your numeric entry is closed I can't tell.). I downloaded the 2.83b as well, and the default values for cloth collision distances are different, but I changed them to 0.015 like your are and still fails. I upped the quality of the sim to 24, and then 48. Still tears through. Adjusted the collision thickness too, between .2 to .02 and no change in tearing through the cloth. I'm at a loss.
HEY!!! I ignored the tearing and baked it anyway. It works now! Odd, but I'll take it.
My band snapped and the lower ring came crashing through my monitor screen! And it was nearly brand new!
