I’d like to think that I don’t have an obsessive nature, but I may be lying myself when it comes to certain foods. These Raw Corn Chips, for example. There’s just something about their faultless crunch, distinctive flavor, and just the perfect amount of salt. Since they only consist of four fully pronounceable ingredients - corn, flax seeds, salt, and water - I can’t even trick myself into thinking that they aren’t good for me. I mean, they aren’t even fried. They are dehydrated (or baked). And who doesn’t want to get healthier by eating chips? A dream come true.
Apart from being healthy, there’s one more thing that sets these corn chips apart from the enormous bags of name-brand commercial chips. Their taste and texture is out of this world.

Also with jalapeños the spicy ones typically have pointy ends and the mild one have rounded ends
Lovely video. For the Guacamole not to tern dark put in the dish the seed first and then the Guacamole covering it and wrap with Kling plastic wrap and there you are. Keep in the fridge until needed.
If you put the avo pit back in the guac before refrigerating it also helps keep it from browning

Thanks Petra. Your suggestion makes a lot of sense. Flaxseed is great binder and the steamed and drained califlower with the flaxseed meal should work out. I appreciate a lot your input. 🌷

Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering, if you don't care about being raw and you just want some homemade baked corn chips how long would you bake them in the oven? Would you be able to tell me the directions for that?

You said you use a food processor to make the chips. Can you grind the flax seeds in the food processor? Also, a pizza wheel might work well for scoring the chips.

If no dehydrator is that possible just use regular oven without dehydration mode?
I have never tried it, so I'm not sure how low the temperature has to be for this recipe to work. However, you might be able to lower the temperature your oven can go down to. The reason ovens don't go below 170 degrees is to protect people from salmonella poisoning. However, your oven manual should have instructions how to lower the temperature manually.

Why is dehydrating raw?
Because it's under 42 degree. All the nutriments are preserved, hence raw
It tastes bitter with this recipe with me. I used fresh corn and make it with flaxseed flaxseed meal and a bit salt. Dehyrated them !!! 😑
I don't think they are raw since you 'cooked' them at 115C
The temperature wasn't 115 C but 115 F, which is still considered raw.

Nice recipe :) but the corn chips are not raw like it says on the tittle, because you baked them, so that's the cooking process for this. Cheers!
By the way you could also put them on a pan with no oil, just like that, on a medium heat and you turn them once in a while! That cooks them ;)
It is dehydrated because the heat in the oven is not high, is similar to the heat that you would get if you used a normal food dehydrator.
