  • Ducati says to clean your air filter every 9k miles and replace every 18k. In this video I take you through replacement of my air filter so you can decide if this is something you want to do yourself or to pay the dealer hundreds of dollars to do it for you.

This is insane. All of this just to change the Air Filter! Thanks for the detailed step by step.

Good news - you do not need any special tool to get that black angled fuel connector out of the fuel pump - it is actually very easy to release - just push the white ring down then the black connector down and then up - it will pop right out. Hope that helps for next time. There is a video on here showing how it is done. Thanks for posting this - very helpful for my filter change. Hanging the bike from the ceiling proved to be a task! 😅

Might as well do the demo maintenance as well

Worse than a Goldwing air filter change and wow - that's bad. Why are bike manufacturers not making basic maintenance items more accessible.

No wonder why it's like a 500.00 service!

    Nice job Chris thanks.
Is it true that the "black tube" fuel line disconnect (where you used 4 small screw drivers) is a push-push design? (push on, push off).
I'll try it on my Enduro and advise.
Removing the battery is a great idea. Taking pics too.
Haven't changed my air filter in a while so I'm afraid I'll find plenty of crap in there, particularly after riding 130,000 Kms here in Mexico.

Once you depress the little spring loaded parts on the black fuel line gently pull up. It should pull out easily if all the little parts are disengaged. Thanks you for watching.

It really is. Really bad if you ride offroad and need to replace filter often.

Great vid as usual, could you tell me what torque settings you used when putting the crash bars back on ?? I've to do this job as well as I've to replace my fuel sensor which is very similar minus removing the fuel tank.

I have a 2018 Multistrada 1260 S, not the Enduro. Is the air filter changed the same on it as the Enduro?

As far as I know, yes. You could confirm by looking up the parts diagram for your bike.

Also Chris - can you share the filter part number and Amazon / eBay link to purchase?

I believe it is only available through Ducati. I am not aware of an aftermarket replacement.
