In this video, we solve a connection failed issue between the Insta360 Go 3 and the iPhone or smartphone. The Go3 WIFI fails to send out a signal. I believe the issue involves the Apple Watch app for Insta360 holding onto a connection with the Go 3. I will show you how to reset the Go3 and close all connections to the Apple Watch.

Do you recommend to buy this go 3 or wait for the go 4?
Depends on what you are looking for. If you need better IQ wait. If want it for specific reasons due to its size then find a used one. 😊
Thanks for the vid scott! While watching your video, I initially had a hint that maybe the go 3 is connected on a different device, and yeah it seems like the apple watch is the culprit. Looks like Go 3 can't handle multi connections. I use to have this problem with my Fujifilm cam as well, wherein it wont connect with my iPhone then I realized it was paired with my Ipad some time ago.
Insta360 reached out and I sent them the Log Files. Maybe they can fix it via firmware. Cheers

I've had issues with the x2, x3, and now the x4! Will connect sometimes, but here recently I can never connect to the app and it's so frustrating. I have sent my previous cameras to Insta360, they replaced boards, and given me new cards to try and still the same issue. It's a problem with their wifi on the devices and the app. they need to fix this asap.
Thanks. I was desperately looking for help as I encountered this problem for the first time. I don't use an Apple watch so this was easier to solve with the simple reset you showed with the camera and pod removed and reattached.

Hi Scott I am having the same connection issue with my go 3 connecting to my iPhone.
I don’t used a watch or anything like that I just connect to my phone after mountain bike and motocross to view footage but I have tried everything so far and not Evan resetting the camera has fixed so far.

Nice cut and intro bro, really showcases how you can discreetly film. I ended up ordering one based on your view of it. Got to bust your chops a bit, that phone bro, looks a little, well, rugged. You sure its not connecting because that phone has clearly been through a war lol. JK JK. I had a like issues with the Go 2 when I connected it to multiple devices. Get the Go 3 in post today, I think your instinct of multiple connections causing issues is spot on, I wonder if its just the ishy BT they use. Bluetooth is always the culprit in my world tho so...lol.

So, I bought an SJCAM C 300 thinking it would be a cheap alternative to the Insta 360 Go 3. And it’s a nice little camera. Then, a I was trolling the internet looking at insta 360 Go 3 pricing and found one under $250 ! And I thought, here we go I am going to get it. I’ll just say, WOW ! Not sure what I am more tickled by … the price or the camera.
I don't understand why I need to connect it to my cell phone. For example, I have a Canon T8i. I press a button to turn it on, wait 1 second and another button and it starts recording. I don't need to connect my Canon to my cell phone or watch, and then I download the files to my computer later. This Go 3 needs to connect to my cell phone to start recording, sometimes I have to wait 30 minutes for the camera to connect. I'm very disappointed.
I just bought the camera but not moving forward from the connecting screen. How do we fix it?

I was facing the same issue ! Like he said I charged the device for some time then I removed the camera from the case pressed the camera button and the case power button for 7 seconds together and put the camera back in the case ! And it started working ! It wasn’t even charging before that but after this it started to charge as well

I'm having somewhat of the same issue. The issue is when I turn on the device it’s stuck on the connecting prompt on scree. It won't connect to the app no matter how many times I try. By watching your video i've tried to hard reset it but the camera won't reset. It just stands still the action pod turns off/on and the camera just blinks green light once then dead. After purchasing the camera I haven’t used it for 1 day and having the problem from the second day. I've tried everything every troubleshoot and gone through numerous videos yet no fix. I've contacted with them also and sent them video recording of the issue. Maybe now I will apply for the repair service. Too much frustrated after purchasing this.

@ScottsReviews To update the camera and to be able to connect correctly to my mobile, since when I connect it to the mobile in the application it works but when it entered the camera through the application it disconnects
My insta360 go3 having a problem with it being stuck on connecting screen., do you have some methods to fix it ? Please. I tried the 7 seconds reset method but it didn't work .

all the time.. going to try to reset. not using the watch - I connect wifi and it times out to Bluetooth and Bluetooth even disconnects all the time from the base - gonna do the factory reset though

I recently bought this camera in Thailand where I live. Never managed to activate it, I tried with 2 phones I have and a friend's phone. Never managed to connect so couldn't use the camera. Uninstalled and re-installed numerous times to no avail. I don't have a watch or anything else that could have caused the problem.. The camera store from where I bought it online was no help, Took it to them and they tried for ages to connect., but they didn't seem to know much more about the camera than its price. They thought the App was no good. Fortunately, I got my money back, which is not always easy in Thailand. Strange that you have to use a phone to activate a camera before you can use it. I downloaded the editing software to my PC but could see no way of activating it from there. Might look for something else but I won't part with any money until it's been set up for me and seen working.
That is strange. I know you have to create or have a insta360 account to activate the camera. Not a fan either of this. Maybe try Amazon ?
