I appreciate your honesty in this video. While the x3 seems like a really exiting and innovating camera, the Go series is just really disappointing. I got the Insta360 Go 2 after tons of research but was devastated to find it sucked. Poor battery life, kept overheating, connecting to the app was a nightmare, poor low light performance. I think the Go cameras are best suited for new and beginner content creators that solely edit on a smartphone. I think the Go 2 or 3 just isn't good enough for professional videographers and content creators that want to produce high-end RUclips videos like yourself. Do you agree?
I always look at cameras as tools. So I always ask myself which camera is going to be the best option for getting the shot that I want to get, and so for shots where I want to put a camera in a tight or awkward space, for me, the GO 3 is perfect because I have no other camera that can do that. Sometimes I just want to capture a shot and not be too concerned with whether it's the best quality possible if I get the shot I was after, and even though the GO 3 doesn't give the highest production value I still use it when I need to because it adds to the value of the video in other ways. But it's one of those things where it depends what you value most from a camera in a given situation, so it'll be different for different people.
I wasn't going to buy the Go 3, but I did. It's way better than I expected. I like it more than my GoPro 11. It's so fun to use and it's easy to get nice looking footage in automatic mode. GoPro 11 requires dicking with the settings every time you change scenes, the mounting system sucks, and don't get me started on the overheating.
I think this is the only sponsored video that actually goes over pros and cons of the camera and actually doesn't say its better than all the other action camera well done on the video i do wish i seen this video first because honestly i woulda got the insta 360 x4 instead
Your videos are addictive. I have no interest in this camera (I'm perfectly happy with my Go 2) but I watched end-to-end anyway! Mounting - I have a novel suggestion which I use sometimes with the Go 2, namely I wear an N95 face mask and use the Go 2 spring clip to attach the camera to the bottom of the mask, under my chin. You read it here first... Seeing you walking backwards while doing your piece to camera, a bit nervously, reminded me of when I presented a short documentary on camera on location for ITV (before you were born!). They asked me to walk backwards down a slope towards a bush while trying to remember the script. Take 3 was fine, but you can guess where I ended up in takes 1 & 2! I suspect that bush was never quite the same.
Even with the better image quality, I'm torn between this or a dji osmo action cam. I love creating short family holiday videos, currently use my drone plus phone. Ive added my Rayban Meta glasses to the fold but want to swap out my phone.
Thank you for this video. I bought my insta360 go 3 and I’m happy with it! If I have to vlog my holiday or my family’s video the quality is enough in my opinion. If I have to vlog in low light situation I prefer the Dji pocket 2 because the insta360 has to noise! GoPro hero 11 and the action 4 (as you said in a previous video) in low light situations are bad than the Dji pocket 2. This is my opinion! Thank you for your video and sorry for my bad English
Does Insta360 have any plans of updating the firmware to allow an external audio mic to be plugged directly into the Action Pod? That would probably get me over the hump of no 4K. Until then, it's a tough sell IMHO. Action 2 allows for this.

BUT I'm a little worried about the image quality. Do you have a good program to upscale footage? That could be the fix! Also, have you tried the 2 low light settings? They any good or not so much? AND do you really use this camera?
I use it only for cheap drones and RC cars. They usually fly or run just perfectly fine, but cameras under ~250€ are unusable in most/all of this RC devices. So it does the job. I even attached it to a 5€ drone (no kidding) and it lifted it great without much battery life penalty, giving a good footage. Of course it doesn't make much sense for a camera drone, just buy a DJI Mini 4K, but I like these weird experiments.

To avoid feeling self-conscious, I do the following. Using my Go 3 I strap it to the front of my iPhone. It just looks like I am talking to somebody on the phone on video. No one even notices I have a tiny camera on the front. I also have the black cover silicon case on the camera. Let me know what you think!
Tamara, great content. I don’t know how you feel, but I think the Go3 is better in low light than the GoPro 11 and the onboard mic is better. I almost always use the GoPro with the media mod and DJI wireless mic, but I’ve been fairly impressed with the Go3 as a 2nd camera. And like you said, I almost always use it as a POV camera.
Nicely done. I'm glad I upgraded my Go2. Find the additional memory and battery life really helps for my travels. The preview ability is also great the mtb helmet view. Even managed to get a video done using it up.

Interesting comparison. I'd like to see a low light comparison between all 3, i've seen some vids ab the Go3 and it really looked bad there, but i wonder if it's just something the other's can't match, or if it's something the others actually significantly outperform it in
i got a gopro and my issue with it that i think even the pocket 3 cant solve is that ...im fat, and when i do FPV the video goes left right side to side as i go forward 😂 it's not too big but it's obvious. i wonder if this will get it too
Great video! How would compare "discreetness" with the DJI Action 2. Because that is also a small camera, would it be comparable in terms of feeling discreet?
I'd say yes, even for the battery life alone. I had the GO 2 a long time ago and sent it back because I wasn't impressed with the quality. When I used the GO 3 for the first time, I didn't have that same feeling.
It's by Telesin amzn.to/3OKbBBH. It's ok, the magnet is strong enough, but because the camera is "heavy" if you lean over then it doesn't really stay put, so you're angle changes. Completely fine if you're just walking around though, but I wouldn't use it for any kind of activity other than that.
