    Great image, superb target...handy tip for gardens and grass with scope legs unless no hard place and bricks around .. visit a garden centre and try and get 3 terracotta flower pot saucers.. comes in various sizes and help spread the weight out on grass and less sink

    • @AstroAddict
      @AstroAddict  5 лет назад

      That could indeed be helpful, but our backyard soil is so dense, the sink-in is barely non-existent.
      Thanks for the tip tho!

    Hi, I just started with astro/deepsky photography, photographing at night (like startrails) I do now for several year. I like your videos and in this one you talk a bout moisture. What I always do when I set up everything something other than a hard surface is using a groundsheet (if thats the right word for the peice of plastick you put a tent on). Moisture will still get to your stuff, but a lot less.

    • @AstroAddict
      @AstroAddict  5 лет назад

      I finally get why i saw so many groundsheets (yeah lets call it that way why not) in so many videos and on the conventions. Everything makes sense now😅
      I got myself a dew heater since then, no need to worry about that anymore, but thanks for the tip!

    One tips. I use also laptop for control everithing. But I dont like to keep that outside. Due to humidity, temperature etc. I use 10m active usb cable (and I have one other with 5m lenght, it possible to extend up to 15m in my case). And moved my laptop in my loundry room, and I do same way, as you use temviewer for control. You can buy active usb cable up till 20m long, so I think it will be enough for you. If not if i know right you can chain 5 pieces together :) One other tip, you can buy "dummy" bettery for camera, and it is very easy to feed with power bank or ac adapter.

    • @AstroAddict
      @AstroAddict  6 лет назад +1

      I read that USB-Cables are limited in range, due to high material resistance. 20 meters?? Really? :O
      So you just set up everything outside, start the plan, and move the laptop inside? I imagine it kinda annoying if you would have to run out every time if there is a problem. Having the laptop close to everything is much more handy, isn't it? Imagine refocusing after the temperature dropped. Humidity was not a problem for me, i simply covered the laptop with a towel.

    • @ati3x
      @ati3x 6 лет назад

      @@AstroAddict yes it has two version. First "only wire" is limited to 5 m. And has other variant, with active electronic that can 20m.

    12:09 perhaps better to fold the cover of the tablet back on itself to prevent the cover pulling it down and falling off

    • @AstroAddict
      @AstroAddict  5 лет назад

      The cover is not on there in order that it won't fall off😀 Nowadays i use my the level to the the scope straight before putting it on there. It used to slip very easily, so i let the cover down to prevent it from slipping to the other side

    Habe ich das so richtig zusammengefasst?
    1. Light Frames:
    ISO 800 M Modus, Bulb einstellen und 2-5M belichten.
    -> Die eigentlichen Bilder.
    2. Dark Frame:
    ISO 800 M Modus, Bulb einstellen und gleiche Zeit wie Light frames
    belichten. Kappe aufsetzen auf DSLR, gleiche Temperatur wie Light Frames.
    -> Durch die hohe Temperatur des Sensors werden viele Hotpixel und
    Noise dargestellt.
    3. Flat Frames:
    ISO 800 A Modus.
    Am Tag T-Shirt + Gummi machen und Teleskop vertikal in den hellen Himmel.
    In der Nacht T-Shirt + Gummi auf vertikales Teleskop und weißem hellen Tabletdisplay.
    -> Beseitigung von Vignettierung und unterschiedlicher Beleuchtung
    durch z.B Dreck auf dem Sensor und dem Teleskop.
    4. Bias Frame:
    ISO 800 M Modus, Kappe auf DSLR aufsetzen schnellsten
    Auslösespeed einstellen.
    -> Reduzierung von Noise wenn die DSLR Bilder auf die SD Karte
    schnell gespeichert werden.
    Jeweils 20 Bilder für DF, FF und BF.

    • @AstroAddict
      @AstroAddict  5 лет назад +1

      Komplett richtig. ISO 800 ist nicht immer pflicht, kann auch auf 1600 erhöht werden wenn das Objekt es verlangt, oder der optimale ISO Bereich mehr an 1600 liegt. Dann aber auch alle Korrekturbilder gleich schießen. Das Bias noise entsteht nicht durch das schnelle speichern, sondern ist in jedem Bild, egal wie schnell. Bei den Flat frames ein komplett/gut ausgeleuchtetes Feld über den gesamten Sensor schaffen, die Belichtungszeit so wählen, das das Histogramm 1/3 bis 1/2 voll ist. Falls du eine aktuelle Version von diesem Video haben möchtest, habe neulich erst eine hochgeladen

It's a mindset. I've already seen that RUclips recommend's his videos after mine, and the other way around. We are all in the same boat.
