- Happy Spring Garden Friends!!! Who is ready for Spring and Summer on Mackinac Island?! We're getting antsy so we're sharing Crossroads Cottage with you! We originally filmed this for Garden Answer, as out good friends Laura and Aaron were due for their baby girl to arrive this winter. So to give them a bit of a break we offered to show their community a peak into Crossroads Cottage..... but it's just too good not to share with our community too!! We hope you enjoy it!

Beautiful tour of Crossroads Cottage, love all the work you and your crew put into it. And I love Mackinac Island, I can’t believe you design and manage so many of the incredible home gardens. Makes me love and appreciate the island even more, knowing you’re behind much of its beauty. And how sweet that you made this video as a gift to Laura (whom I love watching also). Both of you have been so inspiring in my garden journey this last year.🌸

As a master gardener I am very fussy about my garden. Every time I watch one of Jack’s videos I end up learning something. He and his team are truly masters at their craft. Videos are great but to see them in person is amazing.

Oh my gosh! When you explained the porch in the beginning, I thought it was referencing the past! Just watching the horse pull up now, that is amazing. How great are you guys to be able to create such a gorgeous garden with horse and carriage and elbow grease! What a magical place and fantastic garden! Thanks for sharing this with us.

Absolutely enchanting! On the practical side, is all the mowing done by hand? I hadn't ever thought about that when visiting the island before. The scope of this project is enormous and yet looks like it should have been this way all along. Your designs always look so in tune with the surroundings. Thank you for sharing your work!
Most of the mowing is done with push mowers yes- still gas powered, or electric though-
Some larger properties have permits to have a rider, but mostly just the hotels and golf courses-

This multi-million dollar home would be even more beautiful if they hadn't painted the lower part of all of those deciduous trees with many different colors. What a distraction and so unnatural. Sorry I had to say this.
