You can actually achieve the effect he's talking about using something called the Yuffie skip in the newer versions of the game. Since it loads all of the data in the game it leads to a more accessible cache glitch you can use to skip her death scene with her still in your party. She's in a lot of the cutscenes in the game that shouldn't have her in it, but you can't beat the game with her in your party.

I remember hearing this rumor back when the game came out. There have always been rumors that you can revive her, right down to the dark picture of her. Except the rumor I heard back then was that you had to get the key from the excavation site, go back to the church and there was something else I forgot you had to do but it wasn’t the three items to the guy in kalm. It was something else, but my old mind forget the middle step. Needless to say, I tried it and it wasn’t correct. There were so many rumors back then as to ways to bring her back. She’s my favorite character so I was bummed she died.
It truly amazes me that ff7 had such a profound impact in gaming that, 20+ years later, people still talk about Aerith's death and the characters and story. Amazes in a good way.

I found that if you run through all of this, then breed a bunch if chocobo, eventually one will lay a colored egg. Then if you get 6 of these and insert a Banjo-Kazooie cartridge into the PS1 without turning it off, it'll unlock Devil Aerith mode.

The best thing is it started out hilariously and even got more hilarious and obscure till the brillant conclusion of the video. You think an April's Fools joke cannot get any more obscure, the ending absolutely hit the spot. This was the second best prank after IGN's Mockup Nintendo Direct. Would go so far that this one here can even hold up to EGM's pranks.
I had a dream when I was about 12 that I brought Aeris back to life but a load of chinese henchmen came into my bedroom and took my PS1 & said "you weren't meant to figure this out" I'm pretty sure that actually happened and they wiped my memory :D

This just popped into my feed (Most likely because of the recently discovered method to bring Aerith back into the party using glitches present in the PC/Steam edition of the game) so I wasn't expecting it to be an April Fools video. xD That would have been really awesome for there to be some sort of hidden reaction to the ghost. Some sort of bitter sweet farewell at the least.

"Homie" gave it away, though I was suspicious at "This IS Hades!". Pranksters need to work on their scripts better. Besides, the dialogue for that probably wouldn't have gotten translated in the first place so it should have been in kanji (moon runes for those who prefer that term).

I've seen so many aerith revival techniques in the last 20 years so I immediately call BS hahaha The one I fell for was on the one piece subreddit, it had a super believable post about how it will end in 2 years and this was the last arc It is somewhat wrapping up but there's so much left to cover I stressed out then realized it was a joke

The best thing is it started out hilariously and even got more hilarious and obscure till the brillant conclusion of the video. You think an April's Fools joke cannot get any more obscure, the ending absolutely hit the spot. This was the second best prank after IGN's Mockup Nintendo Direct. Would go so far that this one here can even hold up to EGM's pranks.

"Homie" gave it away, though I was suspicious at "This IS Hades!". Pranksters need to work on their scripts better. Besides, the dialogue for that probably wouldn't have gotten translated in the first place so it should have been in kanji (moon runes for those who prefer that term).
