Good idea. '20 m340i here. All I'd do if it wasn't a lease would be a high flow downpipe, intake, and a tune. All together would come out cheaper than just a catback exhaust by itself.

Folks with the M40i models (same powertrain as your car here) are definitely intrigued by this downpipe as an alternative to a more involved exhaust system replacement. I know you're always busy with new content, but if time allows at some point, would it be possible to record a short video of normal 'in town' driving or cruising? A lot of folks are curious as to how livable the sound will be on a daily basis. Thank you so much!

Because its got 2 exhaust pipes with different lenghts. Just search for M3/4 equal length midpipe and you will find the best sounding bimmers in my optinion ;) Small change, huge Effect

No, looking at this tiny cat I am sure this doesnt work with our regulations. Look at aulitzkys 200cell downpipe. It uses a cat like 4 times bigger. Not only the cells count. Also the total surface.

Well, not that I am a party crasher, but I want to say - ENJOY IT PEOPLE! This is one of the last cars we will get with a proper sound, thanks to the "eco-friendly" electicity-driven cars. P.S. I can only think that a morron could believe that the electric cars are eco-friendly. Read some resources and you will see how non-eco these things are, starting from the gathering of the materials needed for their production and ending up with their recycling + the life span of a battery. Sum it up and you will see that we need the M340i, in fact, Green-fuckin-piece needs it!
hello, how do you still have the opf if you changed the downpipe?? i have a golf gti with opf and thinking about chanching to a downpipe but the opf will be gone...
You should look up exhaust schematics to see that replacing only the downpipes does not impact opf as they remain untouched along the way. This was not a full exhaust replacement mod.
@@JavierAlvarez-sv6qo but they haven't touched the catalyst in this case. Maybe it's different for your Golf setup compared to bmw when it comes to opf location but it's definitely doable on bmws.
Volvo V70R is faster than that and doesn't have to try to look badass. Why do people install downpipes, they want attention? As far as I remember, the loudest car on the drag race is always the slowest one, haha.

@@tranceh my opf is with the catalyst.. so if you change the catalyst you change the opf .. they go together..
