ABOUT GREYHILL INCIDENT
This story-driven Survival-Horror game is about a classic Alien-Invasion which takes place during the early 90s. As Ryan Baker, equipped with a baseball bat and a few bullets in his revolver, the story takes you across the atmospheric neighbourhood of Greyhill which is invaded by UFOs & Grey Aliens.

I really think that the theme is great but there are elements I feel are missing. Maybe expanding into more of a survival style like 7 days to die where you can loot and make a base. Those types of elements will make the game last longer and keep people playing.
I think that if you were going for an interactive story...you should get inspiration from Detroit Become Human. That type of story system is amazing for multiple endings and different choices people can make to get different results.
I feel like having a game open ended though with survival elements allows players to immerse into the environment to fully experience life during invasion.
Thank YOU for making such an amazing game! Signs is one of my all time favorite movie, so seeing this game made me feel both nostalgic and really excited. I hope more people will explore the UFO/Alien genre in horror games, and I hope you'll continue to make more and more amazing games! This game is one of my favorite recently, it has the mood, the design for the aliens, the cornfield, the houses, it's such a well built game. A longer version of this game would be actually really amazing!

About 49:00 in. Hilarious, because he is literally mid-comment about wanting but not wanting that to happen. The cut right as he starts to swear is perfect. Had to rewatch that a few times, laughing!

Patch suggestion: The description says "find kerosene barrel" but the quest item looks like a "gas can". The word "barrel" is usually a very large 55 gallon round container leading people to becoming frustrated looking for a barrel.
I noticed that. Slight oversight, maybe?

There are quite a few things in this game, dialogue especially, that feel like they weren't quite translated properly from another language.
Came here to say that i think the funniest part was when you were hiding in the trash can and said "I hope they dont find me in here." then BAM probed to death. I also want to say I think is awesome that the devs of the game left a comment, I feel like this isnt done enough.

Been looking at this game for a while. I have no desire to play myself because I grew up in the country surrounded by cornfields. And then my dad showed us the movie signs. So this is my worst nightmare but I will happily watch others play lol. I still can’t go outside at night in my country home without taking a rifle or a handgun with me 🤣

A cool little game! I agree the dialogue flow could have been better and the ending is quite abrupt, but it was definitely fun to watch you play through! I'm curious if you have ever played Signal Simulator? It seems right up your alley. It requires a lot of patience, but there are some good spooks in it and some really fun easter eggs to find. Thanks for all the hard work in making videos for us to watch!
I believe he has played signal simulator. That game is crazy in itself as depending on the time of year you can get different things to happen in the game!
I def think they could have done a lot more with that game as it has a lot of potential.
I watched Signs when I was a kid, and it scared the living heck out of me and yet now it's one of my favorite movies ever but man the noise of the alien talking brought back so many emotions and I got chills when I heard it.

@@IvanBias24 Well, I guess it depends, but dreams are a way for the unconscious to work through data, emotions and information. Which means having a lot of nightmares is usually a bad sign.

As a sci fi lover who only recently started getting more into UFO stories, I gotta say I agree with you. There isn't enough of these kinds of small town UFO horror stories. There is so much potential for them!
There's so much untapped potential in the cryptid genre in general yet very few developers capitalize on it
Now it's been a while since I read it so I can't speak to how much it holds up but there's a book called Fireworks by James A. Moore that might scratch that itch for you.

Signs. Me and my dad went to watch Signs in the theater when it came out and had my eyes closed for half the movie.
Hmmm is it possible that all of this was Bob telling a story to Rachel because he himself abducted her while unconscious or he let her drink something to make her pass out? Then as he is driving away, all of this was himself rambling because it is a book and that is why he mentions that at the end? The story looks like a mess, and technically this would explain why people had NO reactions to everything and Bob was a full on comedian. Then Rachel wakes up and she doesn't question what happened and asks who was Bob talking too. We heard him asking Rachel if she liked the story while she was sleeping, so all of this could had been his crazy @$$ self abducting the girl and rambling a story that we play but it is not real in the narrative.

To be honest, it seems that the characters don't even care about what is happening. Let's take Rachel, for example. Her father was abducted, and it seems that she didn't care. She didn't cry. She only seemed slidey sad, nothing else. And on the end, for her to be cool with all of what happened and chill with Bob, that was kind of strange tbh xD
The writing was terrible all in all. :P The game is more of a joke, thankfully there seem to be some ACTUALLY GOOD alien games on the horizon.
One thing that was bugging me was the subtitles had a lot of typos (bold cutters, instead of bolt cutters, for instance) and just general a lot of the time the subtitles not matching the spoken dialogue. Almost like a non-native english speaker was writing them as he heard someone speak them, instead of reading the same script. That and the audio overlaps, like shouting at one person while having a normal volume conversation on the radio.
All in all, an interesting concept. Doesn't quite look like my sort of game, but I enjoyed watching Fooster play it.
The dialogue at the beginning sounds so much more natural. So much better now, at least at the beginning anyway...

Grey alien games are so few for 2 reasons. First reason is that its hard to make a good scary abduction game, its easier to make a quick monster/ghost/cryptid game with cheap BS jumpscares. Second reason is because its too scary for people to handle since they were traumatized after X-files.
One night I saw three lights in the sky and they slowly formed a triangle.. I calmly walked back inside the house and acted like nothing happened! 😆
As cool as this game is, I find it pretty funny that aliens would travel several thousand lightyears to probe humans but a few microns of aluminium baffles them.
Binged Fooster horror let's plays all day since I'm stuck in bed with covid on day 4 and I have no regrets.

Have you tried the dark pictures anthology games? There's a few of them now, creepy, good jump scares, and you can choose how your character reacts, and that can change the story and the outcomes. Great fun. Highly recommend those.
Him and Fisk played one not too terribly long ago. The one with the "werewolves." It was very entertaining.

Just got back from a trip to Roswell yesterday with my sister it was very cool they have the dopest McDonalds ever if you've never been and like this stuff 100% recommend.

It was enjoyable and a freaky concept with the aliens but i definitely expected more from the ending
The game => player supposed to be sneaky and steathy and not making loud noise and not making flashlight too much. BUT>>>>>
Also the game => Despite the situation, Why main character kept slamming door out loud, Everyone shouting and talk out loud included the main character. NPC doesn't have self-awareness of the surrounding or situations and not closing the door (For example : Amy fixing her aeroplane with the barn door open included the super obvious flashy light from her welding tools. AND ALSO the church bell, smh, wth). (i can only scratched my head knowing everyone seems like wanna be caught right away)

My worst fears are spiders, ticks, and aliens, in that order. Have been my whole life, and I developed the awful fear of aliens in childhood when I watched Tommyknockers for the first and only time lol. Then as I got older I only made it worse by reading the book, along with Dreamcatcher and Langoliers, then years back my sister tricked me into watching The Fourth Kind and I nearly shit myself during and cried for an hour afterwards 😂 she said it was only a paranormal thing, ghosts and shit. Id not be doing no patrols outside, the first time I heard that creepy ass noise id shit my pants and fall back in it. Id be barricaded inside whichever room didn't have windows with every thing I could use for a weapon I could find in my house! 😭

The thing i find most odd in this game is the lack of shotguns and hunting rifles plus low amount of ammo, and i say that because it's a small town farming community and i actually live in one.
Stayed at a friend of the family for the night some years back and they had a firearm in every room, and the room i slept in had a Remington 870 hardwood defense 12GA pump action shotgun next to the bed i slept in.

Looks great, but the dialogue's super stiff and weirdly worded. It makes me wonder if the script writer was not a native speaker, and the voice actors were afraid to deviate from what was in front of them. I guess that stiff dialogue fits the B movie theme. Also, it was very short. I want to love it because this is a fantastic premise in a hugely underserved genre, and I think maybe by buying it I'm encouraging DLC or other developers to be inspired to make similar things.

The end really felt rushed. I wanted to see an actual conclusion to the story, or at least some closure for the main characters. The swap back to Bob at the end just didn't have much impact with the MC just getting abducted and probably probed.

Flashlight is accurate for a 90s flashlight 😂 and those “probes” you kept finding all around reminded me of the iron giant, not whatever you were picturing 😅
