I love kakuno. And then since the indelible inks that are rather aggressive with fountain pens can be replaced with little expense if they get damaged. I too could not resist the red edition. The transparent green one also attracts me but I don't think it's worth the expense.
Wow, looks really vibrant and looks like it would really match the pen! I got the Diamine Oxblood though, and it looks borderline purplish so I'd have to consider getting the Monteverde Ruby :) Thank you
Beautifully done! What advice will you give those who would like to write like that? How do you keep everything so straight above the line? I'm very impressed!
Hello, do you have a recommendation (besides continuous use) to prevent the ink to dry fast? I have a kakuno and I put the cap after each use, but I feel the ink dries too fast. I don’t know if that’s the way it is or what I can do.
I was wondering the same thing too! Looks like such a nifty little tool, I’m just starting my fountain pen journey so this feels like a must have for cleaning
Would you have any suggestions how to clean the cap? Some ink has stuck between the cap and the plastic seal, have you dealt with anything like that so far? I also like my Kakunos
Just happened to watch your video today. I'm curious... Saan ka po nakabili ng pang flush (blue dropper) for fountain pen? Yung ginagamit ko kasi naitapon sa basura.
Best way to fill a pen is to dip the nib in the ink bottle and turn the convertor in and out about 3 times. This fills the convertor and feed leaving more ink in the pen than syringing. There will always be a pocket of air in the convertor, but if you syringe, the ink in the convertor has to fill the feed so less is left in the convertor. The best and quickest way to clean a fountain pen out is with an ultrasonic cleaner.
Thanks to you, I learned how to clean my pen. I am so new to fountain pens. It was such a relaxing video~ ☺️
Thank you and I'm glad the video was helpful :)

That's true, it's like a toy pen, you can experiment with whatever since it's not really expensive.
Spettacolare ! Complimenti !
Great video, with tips and funny insights. Good day!
Thank you for visiting :)
THANK YOU! I love the Kakuno in F and the swatches for these colors are so good
The standard Pilot Namiki inks are a great value and very under appreciated in my opinion. 😉
Monteverde Ruby is a fire engine red for your new pen. It is really a bright red and stands out. Lubricated ink, so smooth.

Such a peaceful and well done video. Thanks for sharing this with us :)

Nice video! What do you mean by the syringe dip test to see if you dipped too hard into the bottle? What are you testing and observing?
Thanks for this: i just started using the kakuno and bought ink to refill it but didn't like the results as much ss the method you showed here

Lovely video!! I didn't know you could use a needle syringe with converters.
Also ~ now I don't feel bad about my 4 pen collection haha ^^
Yes, it makes much less mess, and you can fill it up more than it can normally :)
Your video is aesthetically pleasing! Just got my Kakuno and your vid helped me! So thanks! ✨
Try 1 part ammonia to 9 parts water in an ultrasonic cleaner. Be very careful with the syringe, better to use a pipette.
Did he really remove the little metal ball from that cartridge? I didn't know that could be done -- I've always just pushed it into the cartridge.
hii where did you get your dropper cleaning tool? I didn't get it from my pilot pen box =/
I was wondering the same thing too! Looks like such a nifty little tool, I’m just starting my fountain pen journey so this feels like a must have for cleaning
Your videos are really good, im getting my first pilot kakuno soon any tips you got..?
I thought I broke mine while cleaning 'coz I can't remove the nib. Thank you for this tutorial!

Love your videos. 💙💙🚀
Also you don’t write just above the line, you write on the line, I’ve never seen that before.
That music though ...
since you have mny Kakunos in EF, have you found some inconsistency in the line width? Do some EF write thicker than others? thank you
Not really, in my eyes even the F blends in well with all the EFs, the inks behave surprisingly good in them as well.
I feel like.my kakuno is a relatively dry penand the ink Always comes out a bit lighter. Is that just me?
Just happened to watch your video today. I'm curious... Saan ka po nakabili ng pang flush (blue dropper) for fountain pen? Yung ginagamit ko kasi naitapon sa basura.
There is a line at the open end of the ink converter, you are filling past that line, that is why you are getting leakage..
No, that line is where you stop pushing the converter into the pen! If the ink level was that low, it wouldn't be efficient.
Which shop in Tokyu Hands did you get these? When I searched keyword it wa searching store names not products
It was my friend who bought the pens in store at Tokyu Hands Japan. Not sure if they have an online store.

You know, these fountain pens r great! The only thing I dislike is the fact u can’t just get the ink from the bottle directly like other pens..
You can, I used to do it but I really find it messy so I don’t prefer that method of refilling
Hey nice video, where can i get the converter?
You're from where? I saw it's available on Amazon.
Anyone tried kakuno with zebra g nib??
Can you buy the eye dropper flushy thingy separately??? I need it XD
