Cool interaction between Earthquake of Amplification and 'Tawhoa, Forest's Strength' [PoE 3.24]

Basically each mirage chieftain from the Tawhoa ascendancy notable has their own independent Earthquake timer, which allows the the queuing of aftershocks, and the circumvention of the skill's line "Cracks created before the first one has erupted will not generate their own aftershocks". With a 5 second duration for example, each hit after the 'startup' period will hit for 1275% damage, up to 1.4 times every second (with CDR gear). Combined with the 150% x2 initial hit attack damage of both you and your Mirage Chieftain (also 1.4x per second) this totals 2,205% attack damage per second. Very clunky to get the chain going though.

Main downside being the massive delay on the damage. I suspect the damage will not be good enough to justify it, outside of smaller arenas or bosses that don't move.

I think EQoA is probably an underrated skill. Getting it Vaal'd is huge because the soul cost is so low and it benefits from increased duration unlike the base skill. You can also swap out for regular vaal eq for faster mapping if needed. It also probably has synergies with focus cooldowns

Try EQ of Ampli + General's Cry... Every EQ on each Summon will have their own aftershocks

Did you try Earthbreaker support? AFAIk respawning a totem counts as a new entity hence more shocks, extra scaling and stuff

Doesn't work unfortunately. Every time a totem is despawned the crack just disappears and doesn't erupt in an aftershock.
I also thought it might work considering it works with Scorching Ray of Immolation, but that' probably because that interaction is considered a damaging debuff on the enemy, and this is just an unfinished attack.

Tested that as well. They aren't able to create new cracks, and remove their created crack as soon as they despawn after attacking. It seems that Tawhoa is the only 'proxy' mechanic in the game that allows for this interaction.

Wanted to do that initially but I preferred using Bladestorm for the mirages and Rage Vortex for clearing with the Berserker himself. Would have been very funny if that interaction worked, though.

​@@xanthopoeThis is good to know! I'm gonna look into an axe build that uses general's cry bladestorm for clear/steady damage and tawhoa EQoA for myself. Both scale with duration so that seems pretty good.
