I'm so happy that Squirtle came in to your life , Lindsey, because I can truly relate to how you feel about him and the happiness he has brought into your life. I have a pup of my own that I've had for almost 14 years and my life just would not be the same without him. He has been one of the biggest blessings in my life, and I don't think that many people understand the connection between a mother and her pup & the truly unconditional love they give you. I'm also so happy for you and how well you're doing in life. Keep it up girl, love ya!

Well, since they are sent a lot of makeup and clothes, they don't really invest in it anymore, therefore it gives them an amazing opportunity to invest in houses, cars and stuff :)

This is so amazing. It makes me excited for moving out. I wish that real estate where I live wasn't so expensive. Rent for apartments here is crazy expensive. But it is such an exciting prospect for me now and I can't wait.

Psychics aren't certain about the future, when they give you a reading they read your future based on the path you're taking. If she made any slight adjustments to her life the path could have completely changed. It could have been as simple as not getting coffee or something like that. That's why you shouldn't get to into it.
+Paige L Or you shouldn't get too into it because psychics aren't real. People can be intuitive about certain people and use bits of information to make guesses, but thats psychology. No one can predict the future. The stars, planets and moons have nothing to do with your personality or your path in life. You decide who you are. Believing that your future actions and choices can be seen by a psychic implies that you have no control over your life, that everything is planned out for you. What does that say about free will?
+Jayne Williams I agree with that you, that people are able to make their own paths in life. But, I would say psychology and psychics are completely different things. Psychology isn't a soft science, contrary it's origins. I have a degree in psychology and all you do is do research, analyze stats, and repeat. You learn Freud and psychoanalysis is complete BS in school. On the other hand, psychics claim to have a "sixth sense" where they base their implications off of feelings and superstitions. I would actually say psychics' methods are more similar to Freud's than any other modern or contemporary psychologist.
Dana H I studied psychology at uni as well. I started out with psychology as my major but decided it wasn't for me after 2 years and changed majors because I didn't enjoy analysing stats. I don't believe that it's a soft science either, I have an appreciation for people like you who are able to complete a degree in psych because as I said before, I really disliked it.
I agree with you completely about the methods being more similar to freud, my point was that its more of a conscious analysis that the 'psychic' is doing based on visual cues and things they learn about their clients rather than any special supernatural ability.
I likened it to psychology to make the point that it's more about what the psychic perceives about you as a person, rather than having a 'special gift' or 'sixth sense' which gives them this information.
I have a problem with people who claim to have a gift to tell people their future as it seems highly unethical and almost cruel to lie to people and give them certain expectations.
By the way, this is completely unrelated, but I want to say thank you, the past few conversations I've had with people in comment sections have been utterly ridiculous. I appreciate you taking the time to write a thought out and polite response to share your opinion even though you disagreed with some of the statements I made. I enjoy discussions where people share their opinions and respond to the actual content shared rather than just disagreeing and personally attacking a commenter for having a different opinion. I think that's a big problem that actually needs to be addressed.
