I disagree. If they sell off the TWEWY IP, it's going to make Porting/Re-releasing DDD a licensing nightmare
I’m glad TWEWY gets whatever exposure it can, but I don’t think SE knows exactly what to do with that franchise. It never had the budget of those bigger FF games, but imagine if it did? Instead of relying on its repetitive, grindy nature with the same locations over and over again, it got the FF7 remake treatment. Alas, one can dream.
Realistically, I feel like with the rise in popularity of roguelikes over the past few years, this might be what TWEWY needs? Hell, I’d say it was built for it. Fast, frantic combat with tons of skills (and weapons?) to play with 🤷♂️. I think they need to look at something like Hades and build the next TWEWY from there. This could be “their” roguelike franchise.
