    I recently bought the Rokid air (the older model of these) i picked these over the other due to having built in diopters makes them 100% better value for us old folks

    Im shocked you didnt find the biggest use case for these glasses yet .
    Reshade SBS 3d , put the glasses into 3d mode.

    Pretty kewl. Us old farts need these type of big screen devices. 😉

    It's a good gadget and addictive but eye health is most important so use it normally 😎

    I have the Xreal glasses and love them!

      Nice, what do you use them for?

    • @antjones2281
      @antjones2281 Год назад +1

      @@ParadiseDecay I also have the xReal , I use them for working via my phone with Remote Desktop, with a small foldable BT keyboard and mouse combo.
      I use it to plug into my ROG Ally withv Reshade or HelixMod to play 3D games on a giant screen anywhere anytime
      I also use the CkoudXR feature (exclusive to xReal) to turn the glasses into a SteamVR compatible headset, which when combined with Virtual Desktop (PC version) gives you a wireless full 3DOF stereo 3d screen 🤩
      I've seen so many reviews of these glasses, but none of them have truly realized that these glasses are the most legitimate way to enjoy 3d content since the death of the 3DTV.
      3D is back bay-bay!

      @@ParadiseDecay I mostly use them for traveling on planes and for watching movies. I haven’t tried the 3D yet. The Beam that you buy separately needs some work but the devs have been updating that a lot so I’m sure with time, it will get much better.

      @@antjones2281 I've been considering getting a pair of xreal glasses, glad to hear it works with reshade 3d, steamvr, and remote desktop. These are some of the use cases I was considering that hadn't seen talked about much.

  • @ytubeanon

    most probable use case would be plugging into a windows laptop/ipad on transportation, ideally it would plug into your phone too

    Diopter adjustment 0 to -6 - It is not useful for elderly people with Presbyopia. Most people, who have most of their life good eyesight and their eyesight starts to deteriorate after the age of 40, have their dioptres changed to plus values. My eyesight also started to deteriorate only at an older age and now I have +1,25 for distance and +2,5 for reading. For Quest 2 I had to get dioptric inlays with diopters +1,75.

    • @ParadiseDecay
      @ParadiseDecay  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the info, I'm lucky to have new lenses in both eyes after 4 operations so I guess I'm in that 0-40 range again.

    • @kuko61
      @kuko61 Год назад

      @@ParadiseDecay That's great that the operation was successful. Some of my friends have already had lens operations in their eyes because of their diopters, but I'm a bit scared. I think I'll wait until I have to have surgery for medical reasons, like a cataract.
      The diopter inserts for Quest 2 work well for me, and I'm hoping that with the new lenses in Quest 3, the diopter inserts might work even better.

    May i ask what is the grade of your eye? I have -400 right with -050 astigmatism and -325 left. Do you think I can use the Rokid max glasses comfortably? Does Rokid Hub also charges the steam deck while using it with the Rokid glasses?

    • @ParadiseDecay
      @ParadiseDecay  6 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn't charge the Steam Deck also I have had 4 operations on my eyes last year so I'm currently 20/20

      Its on par with Quest 2

    • @Makavelifk
      @Makavelifk Год назад +1

      Thanks, I thought it would be much sharper because rokid max doesn't have such a large viewing angle as eg. that Quest 2 offers and delivers the full resolution on a "smaller" image.
