RIP Christine McVie, 11/30/22. Thank you for all the wonderful musical memories throughout the years with both Fleetwood Mac and your solo projects like this one with Lindsey Buckingham. You will be sorely missed. Life truly is so short and it’s not just a cliche.

Made this my ring tone. Got everyone's attention at work. Caught on. Asked who sang it and said Fleetwood Mac but didn't promote it that way only as Buckingham-McVie. Crickets, and the Generational divide was obvious. Then came the history lesson "Fleetwood Mac 101"

    • @ryandlion6961

Right I just got into them before the English rose died and I didn't know what any of their names were exept Stevie, isn't that weird this fascination with Stevie. Was it always this way, I mean I could listen to only Christine songs and be happy now, and then today I couldn't believe how silly it is that I didn't know it, but Lindsay's the guy who sang the national lampoon theme song! And Mick and John have survived more then any other drummer and bassist, for all the style changes for all the different players and singers they've had that in itself makes them great musicians, I'd be jealous if I was a bassist or drummer.

I don’t understand how it was Fleetwood Mac when Christine left and they made Say You Will, but when Stevie doesn’t want to make a record, it can’t be Fleetwood Mac. And I agree that she should regret this, and regret her role in firing Lindsey now that Christine has passed.

The tragedy is this was supposed to be a Fleetwood Mac album. That was the hype surrounding Christine's return. Red Sun is a fantastic song and it should have been a single. All it lacks is Stevie's vocal. The world hardly noticed this record. If only it had been a Fleetwood Mac record. Supposedly Christine brought a dozen demos of new songs with her when she came back to Fleetwood Mac. They only used half. I'm crossing my fingers that Lindsey & the band will reconcile and that he be able to use some of the raw material Christine left behind and work with the rest of Fleetwood Mac and release some new music to say farewell with. It would honor Christine and do much to repair the damage to their legacy. If they can somehow put aside their petty squabbles and come together and release an EP with 3 tracks - one for each writer that would be great. They're run the overpriced LiveNation greatest hits tour into the ground. I think they owe their fans a new record and it would be a great tribute to Christine if Lindsey could forge something wonderful out of whatever Christine left behind. The Beatles were able to make magic out of Free as a Bird and Real Love.

No reason why this could not have been called a Fleetwood Mac album, with four classic members playing (and who all show up in this video). Maybe they can add a little bit of Stevie, do some remixing, and repackage it so it garners the attention it deserves. Definitely a classic!

THIS is the band the should have done that last tour of Fleetwood Mac -- add Mike Campbell as guest, what the hell. If S. Nicks is having a hissy fit give her front row tix!

Their last album didn’t include Christine. They should’ve just made this a Fleetwood Mac album and if Stevie didn’t want to participate than it’s her loss.
