    I was listening this on CBS This morning, while I was doing the dishes, crying, getting things ready to visit my daughters Temple. She has past away 1 year prior. April 5 2016 of stage 4 mastetic breast cancer. I played music everytime I went to visit. When I heard this song on her 1st. Year anniversary, it was like my daughter was dedicating that song to me. Today I needed to hear it again crying, doing dishes thinking about her and I wanted to get hear the song and found the same clip I seen the first time I heard the song. Thank you . It was a confirmation that she was in a better place and happy.

    I think both of them were in a class by themselves. Fleetwood Mac wasn’t the same without him & it could never be without Christine. She was a class act that never got as much credit as she deserved. She seemed like the most likable person.

      Brett Tuggle, who sadly died in June from brain cancer. He'd been playing keyboards with FM since The Dance and when Christine left he was the main keyboardist on all their tours. He'd also done Stevie tours for years but when he started also touring with Lindsey and there was a scheduling conflict Stevie told him to choose. He chose Lindsey who didn't have a band and needed him more. She said she understood. But she holds a long grudge and got him fired along with Lindsey. Horrible.

      This off the Buckingham McVie album with Mick and John
      Can easily be now compared and contrasted to
      FM's Say You Will...
      (And while I agree it is "Class' )
      I'd still take Buckingham McVie over Say You Will. Why, because sat you will tries to appeal more to the Radio
      Just because that made more money doesn't always make it better.

      Those whose find entertainment in Stevie Nicks undulating in a black dress as she rasps her way through selections from Fleetwood Mac's back catalog are free to do so, but there really hasn't been much point in following Fleetwood Mac since they dropped Lindsey Buckingham, and even less now that Christine McVie is no longer with us. Wisely, Buckingham and McVie put this out when they saw where Fleetwood Mac was headed.

    • @josh2Sides2
      @josh2Sides2 6 месяцев назад

      I agree I'd pay to see the original line up of the Tango in the Night era heck even the Say You Will era was still just as good.
      However no Lindsey at all, especially if Christine had chosen to say leave at that point too.
      I love Christine as a person and artist but if she's there and Lindsey ain't then as much as McVie and Nicks can still perform and put on a show. I'd much rather stick an old FM album on or even a LIVE one.
      If it was okay, Buckingham stays we don't tour as much and McVie is back with us ... We just produce and create new albums. I'd take that over what we got in the end
      Especially if Christine McVie didn't end up, flying into the night as all songbirds do in the End
      This duet goes to show that people would still pay to see Buckingham McVie *(a lot over what the last LIVE line was).
      Can you imagine if Buckingham and McVie stuck with this (yes please) and FM toured without them both..

    It is SO AMAZING to me that Christie is still rocking and looks so good for her age! She qualifies to me as one of the coolest women in music... I will add it's a turn off to me current Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey, he's the backbone of the sound on so many of their songs. I mean no offense to any FM fan, just my opinion. I grew up on the Buckingham Fleetwood Mac, have been listening since the 70's.

      I grew up on 70's Fleetwood Mac too... as well as alot of things like Star Wars 🌟.
      So have a major appreciation for the Rumors / Tango in the Night line up...
      So even with Christine McVie back into the fold (barring in mind Buckingham was there) i was so excited, heck the thought of an album let alone a tour in the making, I would of preferred an album over a tour any day of the week month or year (BTW) however once Buckingham was out this time for good. I'm ashamed to say I was done continuing to invest further.
      Sure still a fan, always will be, I'll listen to the old music forever.
      As much as love Christine McVie she wasn't involved with the band for nearly two decades so gotten used to the Say You Will line-up the thought of McVie coming back was a mere pine dream.
      So to drop Buckingham right near to when they'd probably ending up retire from performing as a group anyway made no sense.
      They could of still put out an álbum heck or a single even as the Rumors line up.
      I heard well Stevie draws more in as the face of Fleetwood Mac.. okay well what about the sound people listen to, grew up on and still sing still to this day. Why deprive people of the opportunity to see what we all dreamed never In a million years would happen.
      And alas now never will 😢

      Honestly I'm glad she didn't
      This gave Christine the confidence in herself to perform and stand out once more show case her abilities. If Nicks came back McVie would be once again in the background after 14+ years of being out of the spotlight and touring. We'd of gotten more Nicks and less McVie.
      She was able to come out the world and be a true songbird with Buckingham backing her all the way to shine. After not touring for so long you can well imagine how Christine must of been feeling.
      So while it would of been great, Buckingham probably would of been fired earlier on too or left the band.
      We got something truly wonderful here what FM would of been if Buckingham had joined and Nicks hadn't.. and while the five made it big and gave us world 🌎 and life changing music and albums 🎉
      I'd take McVie and Buckingham over FM sans Buckingham any day of the week.

    Good song. The mix of this performance is disappointing as during the verses Christine's vocal and keyboard are nowhere to be heard. Christine and Lindsay's voices are very similar and they often sang in unison and it's hard to tell who is singing. Example: Don't stop thinking about tomorrow - if you listen very closely you can hear that they alternate singing verses and sing in unison on many lines. The lines "it'll be here better than before yesterday's gone yesterday's gone" are he best example. They sing the same notes but Christine has a softer tone of voice and Lindsey's voice is a little harsher. It makes for a very unique vocal track. Christine also did this with a previous version of FM with Bob Welch. Check out the song "Bare Trees".

      Absolutely, they made músical magic together in the studio 🎙 and on stage
      They once spoken about how both the guitar 🎸 and keyboard 🎹 during the creating of the tracks and instrumental sections sound like they were having a conversation.

    It sounds like the studio track is in the mix of the live version. Very common now. And if so, the studio vocals are there for using in the live performance. It sounds like the chorus of this song (In My World) is carried by the studio vocal mix with effects. I can only assume that this performance is being mixed the way they want it to sound. I am enjoying this album as I have just listened to it twice already. Classic FM! Love it! I have always enjoyed Christine singing and songs a little more than Stevie's.

      Buckingham always had a very clear idea of the sound he wished for and trusted in himself and the people around to create that.
      While Christine also had a that ear from what would and wouldn't work well in sync with the song writing not just how the words should bring about an emotion but how the instruments should be in conversation with one another not at odds.. that's my take as a fan, creative type, instrumentalists and a music lover

    A. Is this a song that needs two keyboardists?
    B. why does McVie only play with on hand?
    C. is McVie's mic even on? If so, why can't you hear her almost at all?

    • @TheCole1098
      @TheCole1098 7 лет назад +2

      They did have her voice quite low in the mix. Agree about the keys, it's almost like the piano is a prop.

    • @inspector7112
      @inspector7112 7 лет назад +3

      TheCole1098 more like mcvie is the prop. She adds nothing to this performance.

      Well I wouldn't quite go that far... she is signing through the entire song.

    • @ATalkingBadger

      Because the band has 2 keyboardists, the whole band is on stage. Ever consider that some of those extra percussion sounds are being triggered via keyboard?

    This studio l.p. was actually the last Fleetwood Mac one. It's so sad people talk about these groups and never have any interest in their l.p.s. I guess everyone (or enough people) had to steal everything off of the internet twenty years ago and now people don't even steal it. So it wasn't, "Say You Will", but this one, "Buckingham/McVie". It's just them without Stevie Nicks. Of course it would have been too obvious if John and Mick actually toured with them though. Too bad.

    • @josh2Sides2
      @josh2Sides2 6 месяцев назад

      The likelihood of them also touring with Buckingham and McVie was always going to be slim
      Let's face it.
      Beside they didn't have to tell or even ask Nicks (who was writing solo material looking to tour it) if she'd like to join them it was more a courtesy. Had heard
      This all started out as Christine once again wishin to create a new album and deciding to reach out to Lindsey who McVie trusted as a producer and friend. Believe Buckingham was also writing and getting ready to produce a new album also. Few phone calls later Buckingham McVie was born

    • @alexkx8599
      @alexkx8599 6 месяцев назад

      @@josh2Sides2 I think in that sense they wanted to make sure it was more of a, Buckingham/McVie, project than just a Fleetwood Mac one by not touring with them. It makes me think of how Michael Jackson never had a specific touring group as a solo artist. The line-ups would change from tour to tour. I feel in that way he made an effort to make sure it was both emphasized and understood he was just a solo artist and there was not a specific group supporting him.
