Well, Mike, maybe Kuwait is not very touristy, but when you have Kuwaiti friends you regard as his childhood friends. On the one hand, you go out with them almost daily and communicate with you. Believe me, you will find that the Kuwaiti people are among the best people they might ever face. Ive lived in kuwait for 18 years and moved to the UK for uni, i didnt experience much culture shock because i went to an english school and we were pretty well educated about what to expect. But this video really showed a side of kuwait that most expats dont show like the whole bus thing, ive never ever taken a bus (probably because its not a good idea to do that as woman) but it doesnt look that bad, i dont know why only labour workers take it. Ive been trying to understand how to take the bus in the UK and im starting to get comfortable with it. I think its such a convenient way of transport! I totally love this exchange of views on each others countries 👌🏼👌🏼

I was born and grew up in Kuwait, then was back there from 2009 - 2012 working. My parents moved back here a couple of years ago after living there for 40 years. Kuwait has changed so so much, from when I was born, to after the invasion, to rebuilding the country in the 90s, to the 00s to now. In the three years I was there from 2009 to 2012 it changed loads, and visiting my sister about a year and a half ago it was different from when I left in 2012. I love Kuwait and it has a very special place in my heart, but for me I will always love the Kuwait of the late 90s, when Johnny Rockets and Fudruckers had just opened, and when Al Bustan mall was the main shopping centre. Love it!
Can you also vlog how they treat their foreign employees? The perks of being a Westerner employees vs non westerners in terms of the free accomodation, salaries and benefits etc.

I'm from Venezuela, and I've been living in Kuwait 7 months, and I agree with other many comments, u didn't show the whole picture, Kuwait is way better than the things that I showed just saying, I mean u could've showed the Kuwait city or something.
Filming in the streets is very unusual here (with anything other than a phone) and the people he talked to at the bus stop are most likely labour workers or shop workers which tend to be in the lower class. They don’t speak much English and don’t tend to socialize much with people like britons or Americans. However if he went to a bunch of children and somehow communicated with them he’d either see that they’re dangerous kids who smoke and drive or really fun happy kids who would love to be on camera. The upper class of Kuwait tend to be very fun and interactive and like everyone (or they can be very racist). Teachers in general tend to live in big buildings with other teachers in the city where there are no sidewalks and not much to do besides eating and visiting the souks(cultured shopping markets with many small shops) so there aren’t many people there (who have time to talk).
I know am late But you could use the help of a 20 year old or above guy to show you the partying side of kuwait And you can get a lot of new facts about kuwait Also we have the most corrupt government in the middle east so thats why you don’t see much investments in stuff here Have a nice day

Ive lived in kuwait for 18 years and moved to the UK for uni, i didnt experience much culture shock because i went to an english school and we were pretty well educated about what to expect. But this video really showed a side of kuwait that most expats dont show like the whole bus thing, ive never ever taken a bus (probably because its not a good idea to do that as woman) but it doesnt look that bad, i dont know why only labour workers take it. Ive been trying to understand how to take the bus in the UK and im starting to get comfortable with it. I think its such a convenient way of transport! I totally love this exchange of views on each others countries 👌🏼👌🏼

I was born and grew up in Kuwait, then was back there from 2009 - 2012 working. My parents moved back here a couple of years ago after living there for 40 years. Kuwait has changed so so much, from when I was born, to after the invasion, to rebuilding the country in the 90s, to the 00s to now. In the three years I was there from 2009 to 2012 it changed loads, and visiting my sister about a year and a half ago it was different from when I left in 2012. I love Kuwait and it has a very special place in my heart, but for me I will always love the Kuwait of the late 90s, when Johnny Rockets and Fudruckers had just opened, and when Al Bustan mall was the main shopping centre. Love it!

Filming in the streets is very unusual here (with anything other than a phone) and the people he talked to at the bus stop are most likely labour workers or shop workers which tend to be in the lower class. They don’t speak much English and don’t tend to socialize much with people like britons or Americans. However if he went to a bunch of children and somehow communicated with them he’d either see that they’re dangerous kids who smoke and drive or really fun happy kids who would love to be on camera. The upper class of Kuwait tend to be very fun and interactive and like everyone (or they can be very racist). Teachers in general tend to live in big buildings with other teachers in the city where there are no sidewalks and not much to do besides eating and visiting the souks(cultured shopping markets with many small shops) so there aren’t many people there (who have time to talk).
