That’s not good for red bull at all. Also, Checo was not a bad driver, he was just again, incompatible. Max is just another level. Albon was ideally compatible, he also loves strong front end grip with oversteer, but he said it himself, he’s just not as good as Max. Liam isn’t actually the best fit either, Piastri would do better. Maybe Bortoleto will force him out of that seat and into the Red Bull. That’s my outside bet. Adaptable, fast, hard working, technical. A team down the grid really can't ask for anything more, what a signing. Maybe he lacks the absolute pace of someone like Leclerc or Max, but honestly for a Williams driver thats not going to be an issue in the forseeable future. Imo he will absolutely trounce pretty much anyone in a comparable car - the likes of Sauber, Haas, Alpine, even Aston will find it very hard to live with him. Not to mention his ability to identify issues with the car and communicate that clearly with the engineers, an absolute god send for a team like Williams trying to make a push up the grid. As someone with a long time massive soft spot for Williams, I'm very excited to see how they do next year and going into the new regs.

    Carlos is one of the most adaptable drivers on the grid. He has proven this now over every car he's been in and figures out how to extract quite a bit from it.
    Also, almost no F1 driver wants a true understeery car. You have to understand when an F1 driver says they want an "understeery" car, they just mean a car that doesn't rotate as easily as say, Max's.
    If I put most of us into what he calls an understeery car, you'd all lose the back end immediately.
    I've seen it in iRacing. When you're at the highest levels, a car that they think is pushy, is still undrivably oversteery to a normie.

    @dafnik8925 17 дней назад

    It will work, but not for the reasons you mention. Using the pedals for rotation means you have finer platform skills & the problem with all backmarker cars is inconsistent downforce. When do you have it? When you go to the edges of optimum aeromap ride heights, the aero map goes way off, so a driver like Carlos will have better chance of driving the car not so close to the limits of the ride height. Basically driving the car more time in the real world optimum aero map window.
    Alex can extract from time to time amazing Q times, but rarely amazing races, my bet is that Carlos will be bringing lots of points!

    Any positive comments about Carlos in Ferrari will surely bring around the rabid fans of a certain driver. Brave of you.
    With that said, I don’t have high hopes in 2025 for Williams. I think it will be like Haas in 2021 where they just reuse the same chassis- maybe outperforming Sauber

    One of the reasons that Red Bull did not pick Sainz, was due to the very different driving style from Max Verstappen.

    Carlos will save Williams $$ too because he brings his cars back to the garage with all four the corners on it........more times than not. I feel Carlos is going to do well at Williams, and not take long to do so, along with making this car much better.

    Carlos Sainz is finished... The top teams will be pushing to either retain or recruit Verstappen, Piastri and Leclerc for 2026/2027.
    It's likely that Sainz will never race for another top team, or win another race, unless he experiences incredible luck.

    I don't understand why you think the 2025 car will be the same as the 2024 car, it won't. Carlos won't be driving the 2024 so all bets are off. They'll be setting the new car up for Carlos. You don't fight to sign one of the best drivers in the world to then hand him a lemon. This video is stupid.

    Carlos already crashes a ton in the Ferrari. Add a car that is tricky and a team that makes some dangerous calls and it should make for a very entertaining season.
