If Luffy didn’t magically heal, then how the hell did his heart somehow manage to continue beating. Also it was pretty obvious that Kaido was holding back throughout each fight. Kaido also took many hits intentionally. The new gen pirates who jumped him already had their power ups. Gear 5 was the only one that was missing. Kaido most likely didn’t die because he was still conscious while trying to take Barjang Gun. Kaido fell into lava which most likely didn’t kill him because he coated himself with lava to enter his flame dragon form. Kaido outlasts with ease, has enough endurance and durability to tank every hit from Gear 5 and win. Kaido has better feats and statements than Luffy. Although you made a good argument. Still hasn’t changed my mind though, and nothing will until I see a proper rematch between the 2. Kaido > Gear 5 Luffy mid diff.

Luffy literally died, he wasn’t just on the verge of death, he went into death and had came back because of the mysterious nature of his fruit. Kaido held back against everyone, we can see him hold remorse for his opponents and enjoys the battle against them. We see him trying to make Momo and Yamato join the battle with Luffy and even begins chasing after them. Kaido got very pissed off after he killed Luffy because a CP0 agent ruined the fight between them. And then that CP0 agent got the Luffy in beginning of Wano treatment. Luffy barely became stronger from Wano to Egghead
