I do love that every Yonko Crew has its strength and weaknesses: The Red Hair Pirates are very strong but have weak allies. The Cross-Guild have a lot of members but against strong groups like the fleet currently heading for Egghead (even without Kizaru or Saturn), really only Croc and Mihawk would stand a chance. The Blackbeard pirates have a lot of strong members and many subordinates but they are too reliant on Devil Fruits making them vulnerable to fights at sea with no land around as well as putting them at a disadvantage against a group of strong haki-user (such as the Red Hair pirates are said to be). And finally, while the Straw Hat Grand Fleet has a strong core crew as well as many strong allies, they are also very disorganized and very spread out. It would take very long for them all to converge. Further, among the core crew, only the monster quartet (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Jinbei) have confirmed Armament Haki and only the four and Usopp have confirmed Obervation Haki therefore putting the rest of the crew at a disadvantage when fighting haki users as well as devil fruit users that require Haki to take down. Personally, I really like that about Oda's writing. It's not just that there is one group that is perfect in every way but everyone has weaknesses a good strategist could exploit.

However, keep in mind that the ice can still be broken e.g. by someone smashing a BB pirate into the ice with enough force that said BB pirates' body breaks through the ice sending him into the depths of the sea. But when Kuzan isn't there, as was the case during the battle at Winner's Island, or is preoccupied, knocked out or otherwise unable to create a field of ice in time to safe the rest of the BB pirates from falling into the sea, like Wolf did in the battle for Hachinosu (yes, I know he isn't dead since the rest of the nameless pirates can pull him out but imagine if that would have happened in the middle of the ocean), it's game over for the rest of the crew. As long as Kuzan is present, the risk of them drowning is certainly reduced. But this weakness should very much not be considered eliminated. There are still many ways for a skilled strategist (with the means to challenge an Emperor's crew) to exploit it.
My top 20 strongest crews (Based on their strongest version of said crew): 20 - Fire Tank Pirates (Decent size and very organized crew, 2 notorious members, and Bege is quite strong with his Castle fruit) 19 - Thriller Bark Pirates (I do think Moria was stronger in the past, but I overall think that crew was much weaker than the Thriller Bark pirates. Quality over quantity. You can have a huge crew of thousands of average nobodies and still be weaker than a strong crew of a few dozen powerful pirates. Anyway, I can't wait to see Luffy's Strawhat Grand Fleet showing up to support Luffy at the end. Just hundreds of ships and thousands of pirates just showing up behind the Thousand Sunny and the 10 Strawhat main pirates.

Quality over quantity. You can have a huge crew of thousands of average nobodies and still be weaker than a strong crew of a few dozen powerful pirates. Anyway, I can't wait to see Luffy's Strawhat Grand Fleet showing up to support Luffy at the end. Just hundreds of ships and thousands of pirates just showing up behind the Thousand Sunny and the 10 Strawhat main pirates.

Also you mentioned the fact,that including Edward's friends and other crews that protected the Whitebeard pirates, you can easily say that this crew was about 5000 members!
