    I want to hear how that kick drum mic solution sounds! Have you done a video on it?

    Can you do a video on snare/hat/ride mic mounting techniques, and what you've used/using, and how you made them etc? And I take it you've had issues with the Audix mounds? I did a show last night, my second show with the Audix, and they were flopping down just by the drummer hitting the drum. I'm thinking maybe heat shrink, or something around the goosenecks could help, but not sure.

    loving your videos dude! also great to see someone else loving V7X's on snare top, and 201's on bot. been meaning to grab some 4400's for OH, but currently using my se8's as a stereo pair - any comment on the sonics between the two as overheads? if you ever need an A2/assistant in the UK, i'd love to tag along!

      i havent really tried the se8 on OH but im sure they would be great! i love the 4400 but ive found they are a bit harsh in the high high end and need to be tamed a little. my actual favs are km184 with neve preamps. just an unbelievable sound!

      @@darkides oh damnn, i'd love to hear the 184's through some neves, they sound spectacular even through CL5/rio preamps 😆

    Great Job Alex. Hey, what size is the kick? ....and would you ever do a video on how you process all the drums live? You are awesome!

      Justin uses a 20" kick. It looks to be 16" deep.

    How would you process the second kick (out) mic in that position, do you hi-cut it alot?

    • @darkides
      @darkides  Год назад +1

      Do you lo-cut the kick in too?
      Btw, Really loving the tg201m on bottom snare! 🥳

      @@joakimohlsson5803really depends on the console tbh.
      On the Midas I do but just turn it on and it dips at like 20/30hz or something. On other consoles it doesn’t seem to have the same effect.
      I play around with the phase a lot in different venues and every Pa is set up so different
