Love the video. Been looking to swap out my stock bars for a set of meat hooks. Only thing about your video I could have done without was the background music. Good music, but distracting. Definitely do appreciate you making this video. Love the in-depth step by step.
Thank you for posting this video. I appreciate your work. I have a couple of questions. I have a 2023 Harley Road glide 3, and I just purchased the 12" Monkey handlebars... Do I have to replace the clutch adjuster, cable extension, and kit isolator when I do the new install?
Doing my bars this week and I am watching this video multiple times to boost my confidence. For the difficult one that you did off camera, can I just unscrew the switch housing and then pop it off?
Thank you, and i am happy that you found dome value in my videos. As f0ra as the riser bushings go. You can. Be careful that the triple trees done come apart.
@@DrHarley - Like seeing ya'll on the Monkeys live stream to. Waiting to hear back from Mike over at suspension tech. I wanted to know how much useable travel I will have on the 14" shock for my 2023 tri-glide . ? Maybe H-2 knows idk .
Yes, they should fit. Might have to re-route the clutch cable and extend the wires. Also there are zip ties around the lower riser clamp and one ferthere down the brake line.
I've completed several bar swaps on Road Glides and have never removed the ignition switch. I have also helped guys who didn't follow the instructions very well , to fix their ignition locks after watching videos like this. Not saying you are wrong, I AM SAYING there is a better and more fool proof way
Hello again! I have another question. Where do I get the power from when connecting the wires for the heated grips on a 2023 Road Glide 3. I'm a little confused by the instructions. Maybe you can help. Thank you
@titocaraballo3260 There should be a 2 wire plug under your gauge cluster. Might have to dig around for it. It should be a black and white wire. Or a red and black wire.
@@DrHarley They are a couple of awesome folks we rode together in the org that shall not be named LOL Love this video btw, going through doing everything on my RG3 after my first RG3 was totaled..... was debating on bars....
Really found this helpful ibjust got a roadglide 3 Friday and was wanting to do these same bars on mine.
I am so happy that you got some value out of this video
@DrHarley what size bars did you put on, and what's extensions? Did you use
They were 14 bars. I did not have to extend the brake or clutch. I did however extend the wires.
@DrHarley ok thank you that's what I wanna do to mine

When I installed those bars, I did not have to replace anything. I would recommend replacing the stock handle bar bushings.
Great video! Just recently did a bar swap on my 19 Roadglide, and by far easiest process.
It's easier than most people think.

Thank you brother 🤘
Hell yeah. It was fun.
Just love watching people wrenching on Harley's!
I enjoy wrenching on bikes as much as riding. Thank you for watching
Hello brother. can you tell me if I put 14inch LA chopper Thresher bars on my 2023 road glide special. Will the existing cables still work?
Yes, they should fit. Might have to re-route the clutch cable and extend the wires. Also there are zip ties around the lower riser clamp and one ferthere down the brake line.
Thank you very much sir!!@@DrHarley
Any time.

I find it easier to remove that than the small trip peice. I have seen alot of the small tabs brake off.
With the 12" handlebar install, do I also replace the harness extension?
There is enough of the throttle twist wire not to extend. But I do extend them for the switch's
Thank you

@@DrHarley OK. Thank you. I appreciate it.
you sell that stock bar. I like the pull back like buckhorns. that fit a 2024 low rider ST controls ? thx brah big island.
I don't think they will fit your lowrider ST. They are 1 1/4 diameter at the clamp. Also, not my bike and the bars went home with thre owner.
What bars are those Harley Davidson ? 12" or 14"
Those are 12" bars.
Enjoyed ya on the live with Pro Monkey.
Thank you. That was a fun night.

That person loves his bars. He stated that the ride is more comfortable.
Thank you
What type handlebar or they and length
Those are KST 12 inch bars.
Calipers are NOT up at the handlebars!! They are down at the wheel 😮
