    For anyone using a 4mm crochet and 4weight yarn the amount of starting stitches is about 101 hdc for the hood with 41 rows
    I just guestimated the length visually on where to put the "V stitches"
    About 2 of the lionbrand pound of love should be enough to get theough this project, although I did my trim in a different color

    Thanks! I made the cape using 12 balls of Hobbii tweed dreams and a little less than 6 of universe. I am planning on making one out of another universe yarn and alone without the hood, a collar instead.

    This has been a really relaxing project so far ❤
    I'm using a 5.5m hook, and i was wondering if you could specify in centimeters how far should the Vs be from one another 😊
    Also, for anyone wondering, the hood ended up being 91 chains (70cm) by 31 rows (30cm)

      Unfortunately I cannot tell you the distance as I do not have the garment any more (I sell my work and this is sold). I have not made this again for a while. It will depend on your yarn and your tension. I always try the garment on periodically to know it is fitting right and add more width if needed.
      Sorry I can't be of more help.

    Hi love the hooded cape . But I am confused on what stitch do you go into before the v stitch. Please help❤ 🙏

    • @luckyplatypus
      @luckyplatypus  11 месяцев назад +2

      Not sure what you mean. You do the amount of stitches I indicate and then the next stitch in an increase stitch (2 half double crochets in the one stitch - or v stitch - but basically it's an increase). Hope that makes sense.

  • @jackiemcallister7330

    Great video and amazing project. I spent the better part of the afternoon trying to crochet into the back bump, with one yarn, with double yarns. I just was not having any luck. Anyway to do the second row without going into the bump?

    • @luckyplatypus
      @luckyplatypus  2 месяца назад +1

      Go into the front on the stitch. (The v of the front instead of the bump on the back).
      Hope that makes sense.

    I’m having a little trouble figuring out where to place the v stitches, can someone please help me 😅

    • @luckyplatypus
      @luckyplatypus  Год назад +1

      You need an even number of stitches to make the pattern work. Next row do a HDC row doing an increase stitch in the middle of the row (26th stitch). Then when starting the cape you will have 54 stitches and work the pattern as 4,7,16,16,7,4 for the v stitches on the first row of the cape and go from there. Hope that helps..

    HOW TO MAKE THE HOOD MUCH BIGGER

    • @luckyplatypus

      If you want it taller, add more rows. Wider....I would suggest putting 2 stitches in every 3rd or 4th stitch on the first row depending on how wide you want it..
