Thank you so much. This just happened to my 2012 Ford Fusion and I do Door Dash as a side hustle so I am constantly getting in and out of my car. I was intimated by potentially having to remove the side panel but now I see that I don't need to do that.
I did the other one also and did it faster and even less taken apart.

I don’t understand you said “ without taking off the door panel”. You basically took off the panel you left one screw so it wouldn’t fall off lol.
