The only issue with it injury wise is that he’s playing in a higher paced league as a smaller built guard who attacks the basket alot. The injuries come from wear and tear more than recklessness. Which is his biggest issue is that he’s too ball dominant when he’s on the floor. He’s actually a very smart player, one the smartest young players in the league (luka then him) but Memphis puts too much pressure on him when’s on the court just to play free flowing basketball when he’s off of it

One thing people overlook is player usage. There’s a reason golden state can plug in good basketball players and they immediately help. They’ve actually plugged in not so good basketball players who have helped. A superstar who moves the ball and himself willingly makes it much easier to find players that mix and match. It’s the universal language of basketball . If you have a superstar who always has the ball, the level of difficulty for his teammates increases with every “degree” you are removed “from the ball”.
