Nope. He’s Luka fan all the way. He played in Europe against him. He knew about Luka from personal experience. One of players in Real Madrid said, that even before Luka joined their first team (he was 15 then), the team knew he was special. They sometimes invited him to practice with them and even then they knew, tharpt he had the potential to be the best of them all. Real Madrid team was awed by Luka even before he was playing with them. They had campaign ‘Save Luka from Junior league’. He was too good to be there. Luka is basketball Magic for real.

Fran Fraschilla is one of the most respected and accurate basketball insiders. He's the same guy that suggested that Bucks need to keep Giannis long-term and develop him directly on draft day because he said he was a future star.
Fran is actually the only guy on ESPN that follows european/FIBA basketball up close and in person. The rest of ESPN and the majority of basketball commentators in the US have a ton of outright prejudice against european players. They were overhyping Zion a year later basically because of games where 85% of his opponents were much smaller than he was (he played a season, with injury, in college). Don't get me wrong, I want Zion to turn it around and make better choices. But he is being a lazy ass, fat, injury prone guy since his first day in the league, let's be real. He played 85 games since he was drafted. Out of 3-4 seasons, he barely played one full. He wasn't bad in those games, but he is barely avaliable. Avaliability is a skill too, and a very important one. Luka had 10x more responsability inserted in his game than any kid climbing the ranks through the "AAU" way. He played in places in which the pressure of opposing fans is so huge that you might be partially deaf after a game. And he proved himself in said grounds. For Real Madrid and for the Slovenian National Team. As Fraschilla said himself: the EuroLeague is the AAA of basketball. Many US kids are rocking in single A (high school), playing a mandatory year in AA (college) and going straight to the majors with their stock outragiously high, much more than it should be. Luka played like an ace in triple A and is doing the same in the majors.
Just put it this way, when was the last time a true center won the league MVP? Because perimeter players that handle the ball and make plays like Luka have been winning that trophy every year.
That years draft was really deep and have a lot of potential and bunch of diamond in the rough players the further you go down. Hopefully in a decades time will be talking about it as one of the legendary drafts like '84 '96 and '03
2:58 from Real Madrid in Barcelona 😂 That only shows ignorance from americans when it comes to Europe, you know nothing about world besides your 300 year history only, of your own country and not even that
Swag Money What you mean by saying „your countries”? You don’t even know where I come from that’s the first thing, secondly americans know nothing about europe or any other part of world, their own descent or any other country. That’s what I call an ignorance. We been taught about usa, so why they don’t do that in states about europe? That’s where all these stereotypes about americans come from. Btw. I can name at least half of your states with biggest cities in there.
The Mavs won that draft. Luka is a monster. The suns messed up, if they drafted Luka to pair with Booker, they would have won the title last year or this year. This is the first time Ryan Hollins is correct
I wouldn't say I'm a good evaluator of basketball talent, but when I watched Luka's highlights I knew he had hall of fame level talent. Obviously he isn't the most athletic, but his bball IQ was out of this world. Suns and Kings missed the ball as usual. Imagine Luka and Booker on the same team

@@lyalminchinton8825 What are you talking about? The king's had the 2nd pick after Phoenix took Ayton. Luka and Ayton were concensus top picks by everyone who followed or were in the league at the time, and Doncic was proven considering he was dominating on the international level.
__ haha nice username
__ Ayton
@@lyalminchinton8825 wtf are you talking draft and draft lottery are 2 different things.
Luka and the mavs gon make history.💯
Luka doncic beeing the best pick is the only sencible thing hes said his hole career as an analyst 😂😂😂
jack danial his whole career in general 😂💯
You can’t even spell “whole” correctly. You edited your comment and it’s still spelled wrong. So is “sensible” idk why you even thought that was spelled with a c.
Wooow! I never heard the Hayward mixed with Ginobli…that’s spot on
Hayward with ginobili on steroids.
What's crazy is that trae wasn't even on the board that ryan hollins was picking from
Luka is the most accomplished draft prospect in NBA history idk how he didn’t go #1
nah that would be Kareem , but Luka is up there
As a suns fan this is painful to watch
Tell me about it🤦🏽♂️
aytons not doncic but hes SUPER good. not the worst pic for sure. but ya I'd cry to if I missed out on the next Lebron lmaoooo
@@huckleberry2623 he to soft for a center i see him in a pic n roll and don't even be a brick wall ,he rolls from the screen before the defender even touch his body and play weak interior defense ..I was hoping we picked doncic or Trae especially doncic since we hired his coach before the draft started 🤦🏽♂️
Is it really? He is helping you guys win it this year. Should be happy. Smh
Well I guess you guys should be happy right now,
Ayton is a great player though. Not Luca but a great player
I remember hearing about Lukas accolades after seeing that he was projected top 3, and my immediate thought was “why isn’t this guy the unanimous #1?”
if his name was Luke and he played in some high school God knows where, he would be #1 4-5 years before his draft.
Let's admit that the media has a ton of prejudice against european players
Ppl clown Ryan Hollins, but he hit it out the park on this one lol. Every single pick in his top 5 was where they should have gone! Get this man into a front office
even a brocken clock is right twice a day
I feel like every analysis believed in him. I kept seeing “best euro prospect ever”
All the scouts liked him. TV analysts were either negative or they just repeated what scouts said
extremely rare footage of Ryan Hollins actually knowing what he's talking about :0
i remember in europe an article saying he will be no 1 pick and the best ball player since Lebron. YEAH that's what they said. I couldn't belive it but Euro coaches and analysts have very critical. That shows how much euro ball is disrespected in the NBA. Still with a 2 x MVP jokić and Doncic being one of the best players in the nba.
"From Real Madrid in Barcelona" 😂😂😂
gringos stupidnes srbija sajbirija slovinija slovakija same for them fuck jour colege diploma
Who's here after Luka hit that game winning shot in game 2
Yup
Hot take. When he’s done with playing he’s gonna be the best pg of all time and top 5 all time player. If he stays healthy ofc.
Props to my dude with Hollins. You can tell he works really hard on his talking and pronunciation
Here after game winner against Timberwolves up 2-0…
after watching ryan hollins on several shows, i'm pretty sure he picked luka just to be controversial, in other words, he got lucky.
Like he said, played in europe. He knows the guy
Luka is basketball Magic for real.
anyone else watching this in 2024?
Yep! Right before the Finals are about to start too.
Indeed but dont forget the Celtics are in the way right now and Luka must win these finals to seal the deal 100% on all the nay sayers and haters and i'm rooting for Luka all the way 👏
So what dumbass
I am watching it from 2025, just brief time travel , you wont believe me what will happen in the finals in 2024, so i will keep that for myself so i dont alter the timestream.. but we ready for some jaw dropping moments involving White and Lively.. that is all that I can say...
looooooool ryan hollins was so perfectly accurate and spot on with his analysis !!
Bruh how tf was Ryan Hollins so accurate on the draft outside of Trey Young?
They didn't give him Trey on the board
He played with Luka in Real Madrid
@@BreadVanVleet trae
@@jcampbell07 he played against him, he was playing in Gran Canaria
ryan hollins actually nailed that. obviously years later wed move it around a bit but for the most part he hit it on the head
I'm glad Luka got picked and traded to Mavs, because the dude fits perfectly there.
From Real Madrid in Barcelona. 2.58. Will Cain knows Spain.
Real Madrid in Barcelona 😂😂
I remember when Stephen A Smith used to referred him as the slow european kid
And y'all say Ryan hollins is dumb lol😂😂😂
He is but he was oddly great at analyzing these prospects
Ryan Hollins should stay being an analysis for future prospect.
RIP to Suns, Kings & Hawks. They missed out such a top prosect.
For Grizzlies they got ROBBED, Mavericks did them dirty by dealing with Hawks.
Why would the Suns have taken Luka when they already had Booker?
That years draft was really deep and have a lot of potential and bunch of diamond in the rough players the further you go down. Hopefully in a decades time will be talking about it as one of the legendary drafts like '84 '96 and '03
It even got Shai Gilgous Alexander
This aged well
Imagine the Suns with Luka and Book
2 chips by now
2:58 from Real Madrid in Barcelona 😂 That only shows ignorance from americans when it comes to Europe, you know nothing about world besides your 300 year history only, of your own country and not even that
CZIF KIF it’s not ignorance your countries just don’t matter to us
Swag Money What you mean by saying „your countries”? You don’t even know where I come from that’s the first thing, secondly americans know nothing about europe or any other part of world, their own descent or any other country. That’s what I call an ignorance. We been taught about usa, so why they don’t do that in states about europe? That’s where all these stereotypes about americans come from. Btw. I can name at least half of your states with biggest cities in there.
your gonna judge a continent sized country of 300 million on the geographical knowledge of a random sports analyst?
CZIF KIF nice job on judging 300 million people by one statement 🙄
They are american. what do you expect?
Ryan Hollins prediction looked quite correct its pains me to say bit that looks roughly right
Trae Young wasn’t an option on Ryan hollies list😂😂😂
2nd best player from the draft class tho
He wasn't there on the board
Srikar chowdary 5O6 that’s what we are saying. He wasn’t on the board and he was the second best in the draft.
Rowan Basketball. And LEGO stop motions Hollins is ‘big’. Young is gnat to him (he was wrong in this case ofcourse).
The Mavs won that draft. Luka is a monster. The suns messed up, if they drafted Luka to pair with Booker, they would have won the title last year or this year. This is the first time Ryan Hollins is correct
Man that aged well Luka is crazy
imagine now! haha
That’s actually a fair comparison , Gordon Hayward almost played liked Luka back in Utah he was most of the time handling the ball
A couple of teams passed up on Luka Doncic because Ryan Hollins picked him as his No. 1 pick.
That Ryan Hollins one is so unusual. Cause usually I disagree with his takes, but crazy how he predicted Luka to be good
He drafted perfectly too. That man should be a scout
Only wrong from Will Cain here is "Real Madrid in Barcelona" lol
After that Game 7, Ayton is pretty close to Hibbert now
who's watching this again in 2024
Me 😅
Here after Luka dismantled the entire West in 2024 and is in the Finals
watching this in 2024 is even crazier
So let me get this straight.
The person whom this video is about only just get mentions in the last 5 seconds of the video?
Dafuq?
So you’re telling me that Ryan Hollings was... right? I don’t know how to feel about this.
Wow for once Ryan was spot on about these youngsters
the actual only footage of Ryan Hollins being correct on television, a rare moment in Sports Media
When it was luka’s turn the video ended.. I was waiting for the praises for Luka but the video was cut shot wtf
Here after Luka just beat the Timberwolves to go the NBA finals
Phx could’ve have Luka at the first pick selection and a center like Robert Williams at the 10th pick via trade
Bump. 2024 and Doncic heading to the NBA Finals.
Ryan Hollins was right about Luka but he said pretty much the same thing about JJJ and Michael Porter Jr.
“Playing for Real Madrid in Barcelona” 😂🥴🥴
