You should add mosquito fish aka wild guppy’s he might eat them tho

Use play sand as a substrate. My turtles love the sand!
Its sad that they are not togheter anymore but if you say its better like that i believe you. Keep up the great work!
you should add guppies and/or minnows to the pond sheldon can hunt them and itll also look pretty with other plants maybe even cherry shrimp or some snails would work too so it adds even more of a natural look and the shrimp will add pretty color

As a word of advice, I would put a heater in there. My red eared slider got a respiratory infection from being in a pond in Mississippi. After he got better I put a heater in there and he hasn't gotten sick since. Love all of the vids, been here since the pet bass

I have that exact night stand next to the pond! I used it for aquariums but now it has an old computer on it. I made a turtle pond with a 150gal Rubbermaid agriculture tub. They love the room.

I love his enthusiasm over the turtles! I'm 65 and have always loved turtles, frogs, etc. I actually just got a yellow belly turtle and am thinking what have I done! The money I'm spending isn't wise and the turtle will outlive me unfortunately. I couldn't resist it when I went in the store! I am curious about an indoor tank which lead me to your video. You also have a sense of humor which is great, loved it! Look forward to watching more.

This is extremely helpful as I’m trying to do the same for my yellow belly slider but I just couldn’t find anything about that anywhere! It looks soooo good and natural I can’t wait to see it progressing! Love your videos especially about the turtles they just fill me with joy!!!!

I love the indoor pond! It looks amazing. I live in Texas and have a almost 4 inch 6 month old red eared slider, rescued as a hatchling, named buddy ( we’ve discussed naming him sir Winston Wellington as he has quite the personality) in a 55 gal right now as we are in an apartment but am seriously considering still doing something like this for him. I love watching your videos! You are really inspiring with all kinds of wonderful ideas and I love how you are always adding and getting new turtles. I just love turtles!! I can’t wait until I get the next notification for the next video! Super excited!

this video epic also you should put gravel in the turtle tub caus it can lead to impaction the best substrate to add would probably be kinds play sand cause its very vine so when they likely eat it it will pass through the turtle without problem even aquarium sand is not as fine-grained as kids play sand.

My cousin asked me to watch her red ear slider while she was out of town, she never came back for it! Now I have a growing red ear slider.
Those plants won't survive. Not just because of lack of light, but because Jr will eat them! 🤣 Red eared sliders love water hyacinths, water lettuce, etc. We tried with our girl Alaska and she destroyed them in a couple days. Now we only put them in as a treat. 😅
Thank you! You’re a life saver! I love this pond idea! So simple...@ least you made it look that way 😉.I have 2 red ear sliders who suddenly want each other dead. It’s my fault, due to their size. Overnight it got territorial. Their next tank size is going to be a big one so I don’t have to mess w the intermediate ones anymore. I have to save some coin for that. I feel awful about it. This pond will work great until I can afford a huge tank. Idk though, I enjoy the look of your bamboo idea so much, it may become a long term home or permanent fixture!

I had the same two turtles together. I separated them because when they were swimming next to eachother my RES kept scratching my PBSN eyes causing infections. No aggression
