It will be extremely difficult to recapture the same magic that early LucasArts game studios had when making Star Wars games. From KOTOR to the Force Unleashed and Battlefront to Empire at War, you can tell that these games were made with upmost passion and care by their developers. These games were truly for the fans.
Probably because we didn't have to deal with the mouse, which rid us of the Expanded Universe to replace with their preferred version of what happened after the original Star Wars Anthonology ended 😔
Something interesting is that this game uses some tracks from Knights of the Old Republic II at certain points. For example, when Mace and Anakin's lightsabers clash in the cutscene before the Windu fight, you hear the small music bit that plays when a combat encounter ends on Peragus. And the Onderon/Telos surface battle theme plays during a few combat encounters in-game.
So I only recently completed KOTOR II and immediately recognized those tracks from the Episode III video game. I knew they were in there, but it was still nicer to make that connection.
Ima guess it’s cause it was cheaper to use sounds from other games, either way tho it was cool to recognize that. Win win for both the gamer and developers hahah

I actually don’t recall ever seeing a commercial for this game. I was just part of the “spoil me for episode III” gang on the Jedi council forums so I knew everything of SW back then. I worked at blockbuster at the time in high school and got unlimited rentals but man, I remember taking this game out the first weekend it was at my store and played all night until I beat it. My eyes felt like they were bleeding and my hands/thumbs were sore for two entire days. I also completely forgot about the mobile version of the game, I had that on my Razr and man, it was awful. My entire comment carbon dates me…but I lived in the golden age.

Holy shit dude that comic with Darth Vader all in white. I remember way back in the day I picked up that comic off of a rack at my local convenient store, and I was so confused when I got to that last page. I had no idea what in the world was going on. I think that was the only Star Wars comic I ever had, so it was super weird seeing it in this vid.
I actually own the ps2 version of this game. It's not fantastic, but it's pretty good. Combat system is deeper then you would think. Great boss fights. Worth a look

I absolutely loved this game and was thrilled to see this review. Some of my friends and I would play the multiplayer together and it really did feel so smooth. The additional content was also really neat
I still go back to this game from time to time, and it holds up. The lightsaber combat is great, and I love how it expands on certain parts of the movie. There are alot of classic Star Wars games, and I think this one is among one of my favorites. Nostalgia or not.

All of Anakin's moves in the game were based off Hayden acting out all the different moves for the team.

The DS version is essentially the GBA version with some cool add-ons. Those 3D ships battles were really cool too, especially on a DS at the time.
