    I grab the Greenworks 40V cordless with 14" bar to clean up after a storm, cut some firewood, and determine how hard this saw can work. I find out if I can cut continuously using two batteries on a larger job, where one battery charges while the other is powering the chainsaw.

    I got the 40v 16 inch model awhile back love it I use to have a few gas chainsaws and they were always high maintenance hated that and to with a gas chainsaw if you leave it set for a long time it can start degrading where a battery powered saw doesn’t I got a extra battery for mine I got a 6.0 amp battery for it so it’ll last longer the saw came originally with a 4.0 amp battery but wanted to add the 6.0 amp battery.

    Wow《☆》Brutal task for a cordless saw👍🏾⛾I developed a severe case of anxiety wondering when it was going to need a fresh battery😁🥪I think I will be getting this saw from Amazon for $149 tool only. I have a 2.5 & 2.0ah batteries already. I see Amazon also sells a 6.0ah off brand for $60. I'll probably get 1 of those as well. Nice review on your other Greenworks videos as well👍🏾🛎✌😎☮

      Thanks for the comments. I have to admit I have run that saw really hard, and it's holding up well. I've done a lot of cutting that wasn't recorded on video and besides the chassis plastics being a bit thin, I can't complain; it's taken some punishment and still works great. No engine maintenance is a big plus.

      @@outdoorsinoregon 《☆》I was set on getting the Hart 14" 40v saw from Walmart but it only comes with 1 battery for $178. The Dewalt 12" 20v saw was also a contender. I kept seeing complaints about oil leaks on both of them. I suppose I can empty the oil tank before storing it if I need to. Thanks for the reply✌😎☮

      @@bdogjr7779 They all leak a little bit; changes in temperature expand and contract the plastic oil tank, creating a pump of sorts. I usually leave the oil caps on my saws cracked to reduce internal pressure changes during storage (or drain the oil). With that said, the Greenworks saw doesn't leak any more than any of my other saws.
      Walmart was selling this saw with 1 battery for $159 for quite a while. It looks like they just increased the price recently, but I'm guessing the price will drop again, or it will go on sale at some point.

    Nice video, i have the older version of that saw. I bought in 2018. Cant complain about its performance, being battery operated. I do have 3 batteries for it and bought a couple extra chains through , Amazon. I do have a question though, what brand is your log hook, or cant hook, your using?

      Thanks! It's the 47" Timberjack by Woodchuck. I bought it from Amazon, but it looks like they no longer sell this brand. However, if you search Amazon for "47" Timberjack", you will see what looks like the same tool under a different brand name. I've used it quite a bit and have no complaints. It's lightweight and pretty stout. It's aluminum, so hopefully won't do too much damage to the chain if I ever bump into it with the saw by mistake.

    How many minutes can you work with one battery?

    • @outdoorsinoregon
      @outdoorsinoregon  9 месяцев назад +1

      For this size of wood, it was about 6 mins. of cutting per battery.

    I’m thinking your daughter would’ve rather made a trip to the dentist vs a day cutting up trees.
