$229 right now on Walmart, as a Ryobi guy I had to pull the trigger. Ryobi 18in with 5.0 battery is $369.

I have most of the 12v tool line and several 20v tools from Skil and I enjoy them. I am heavily invested in Ryobi lawn tools but as they go will probably start getting Skil lawn equipment as Ryobi needs replaced. I would love to have that saw but last remaining tree I had was taken down a couple years ago, lol. Thanks for video.

Just wondering how long approximately will the battery last?
I watch a lot of videos and that looked impressive,I have an Echo 58v that’s impressive as well and a new Echo 400 gas I just got for big stuff.
The Echo cordless stuff was impressive even years ago when they launched it. We do wish they'd upgrade some more stuff on the platform. Echo gas chainsaws are hard to beat as well. Thanks for watching.

The saw is awesome but the tighter sucks. Overall it's an excellent saw. I have the greenworks 80v from costco. It's nice but the skil is better built

Since they OWN FLEX and EGO CHERVON OWNSKIL THIS Looks LIKE A EGO PAINTED RED with a 40 volt Battery Instead of a 56 Volt
Not quite the level of EGO, but still a very impressive saw. Thanks for watching.
I have the Ego 18 inch and it is significantly different from this saw. The Ego has higher chain speed and a different tensioning mechanism. Probably better battery life too. That said, I have the 14 inch Skil and love it. MUCH lighter than the Ego and still cuts great. It's only downfall is battery life, but getting this 18 inch with a 6ah battery would really help with that. Amazon currently has it on sale for $229 which is a spectacular deal for this saw.
I was GOING to leave a comment on how 299.00 isn't a good bargain from Chervon; because I paid only 50.00 more for my EGO 18".
BUT; that was a year ago. I see now that the price has gone up 50.00 for the 1804; which DOES make the SKIL a good value.
