    Great and informative video. However, I have been trying to figure out how to increase the dash lights. Our 2015 3350 as well as your 2016 does not have the little dial beside the light switch or the dial nob next to the speedometer to increase or dim the dash lights. Do we not have a choice to adjust those?

    In my opinion this is the best E class but I have one question if you use regular gas on this car will it affect the engine or anything else on the car?

    • @throttlechaser541
      @throttlechaser541  3 года назад +2

      I am not sure. Performance for sure but it might not run on regular at all. My cousin had a 2008 328i and he put regular one time and the car didn't run anymore

    • @alanholmes2366

      Many of the manuals will specify Premium “required” in that case yes you must use premium or you can cause engine damage. Some may say premium “recommended” which You should still use premium but if you use a lower octane occasionally you won’t damage the engine or fuel system. My former company was the primary supplier for 85% of all Mercedes vehicles fuel system components (fuel pump, charcoal canisters fuel tanks,etc)

    • @carmonaprime6297
      @carmonaprime6297 2 года назад

      Sadly not. One thing that we need to always look at is our engine’s compression ratio as a basis for using premium or higher octane petrol Vs regular or lower octane fuel. This M276 engine has a compression ratio of 12:1 and being direct injected would require higher octane fuels to prevent knock. In my car I use a minimum of 95RON euro 4 but in some case I use 97RON euro 4 or even 100RON euro 6. Hope this helps.

    Your opinion is very good, thank you. I have 4 days to buy a 2016 E350 and I only have one question, the seller told me that the tires have nitrogen, as you do when you get off, you put air in a gas station or it has to be nitrogen

    • @throttlechaser541
      @throttlechaser541  3 года назад +7

      Regular air. You don't need that nitrogen thing. You will be fine. You just need premium gas if you are in the USA, that is minimum 92 octane

      I am not sure. I had the 2016 e350 and it was nice. When i was looking to buy the s550 i was considering the 2017 e300 as well. I never got to drive one, but i can tell you there is a HUGE difference between the s and the e. Totally different experience. I would get the e300 only if i would be on a budget as the s550 is a more picky car and expensive to own

      If you are into the drive of the car you will see most Lexus do not perform on the level of a comparable BMW or Mercedes. The ES isn’t trying to appeal to a driver it’s meant as an entry level luxury car. Lexus IS the standard for reliability. BMW & Mercedes are the world standard in luxury and performance.

    I've got the 350D night edition and the car is just amazing. 0-60 in 6 seconds and on average 550-600 miles per tank with 52mpg on average if you behave. I think it's an excellent runner. Your 3.5 petrol or Gas, as people call it over there, ain't coming near those numbers (except acceleration) and I think, If i car can't get you at least 500 miles per tank, throw it away.

      I drove mostly manual cars and i can shift faster than the automatic gearbox on this mercedes. Now i sold the car long time ago and didn't have any mechanical issues with it while i owend it. They say that the e 350 of this generation is a good reliable car, especially thise after 2012. The only issue i had with this car was the steering wheel colum sometimes was getting stuck when you try to adjust the height of it, but with a tap/punch it would get unstuck lol
