I don’t leave comments often but this video pushed me to want a Staccato P. Today I just shot it for the first time after my Wife gifted me one. I want to say thanks Colion it really is a cheat code and life changing!!!!!
Picked up a staccato XL back in 2020 and it’s one of my favorite guns of all time. Staccato pistols are phenomenal and worth every penny in my humble opinion
Currently this gun is $2100 for the kinda base model, not optic ready stainless threaded barrel. Not that bad for a world class 2011. Years ago I bought a STI Trojan 1911 lnib for $900 in 45 ACP (incredible gun) After the purchase I did some research on STI’s build process ( there’s a video tour of their factory in TX). I knew then that anything they produced would be of the highest build quality. Each component is crafted by a specialist in a specific dept. Frame guy, trigger assembly lady, etc. with the final product being inspected by a master gunsmith for any flaws. This was 9 or 10 years ago, I’m sure now things are at an even higher level. Especially with the feedback of dozens and dozens of world class competition shooters that use them now.

I finally pulled the trigger (pun intended) earlier this year on my first race gun - a Staccato P DUO. Mine does not have the ported slide or compensator and it is still the finest shooting pistol I have ever used. Thanks for sharing your review!
@@thefrogking481 the great thing about America is you have your opinion and I have mine. Well aware they issue the P model for many duty positions, but I believe in comparison to most off the shelf pistols, it is very much a competitive gun. If you don't then good on ya, go buy a "real" race gun to make you happy.
Let me share my buying decision. I shot a C2 and a P alongside my previous EDC which was an M&P Shield. I got 5 times the A zone hits with either staccato than I did with my Smith. I had an epiphany - I felt ethically obligated to carry a staccato given what I now KNEW about how much more accurate I could be with a gun THAT I’D NEVER HANDLED BEFORE. My LGS happened to call me the very next day saying they got a couple of staccatos in, “do you want us to hold one for you?” Yeah, at that point, it’s like a sign or something.
Appreciate all the input. I don't think I'd go with an Atlas... I'd be afraid to take it out of the safe. For that money I could get my 2 dream pistols - the Staccato P and the H&K MK23. What is the main difference between the Staccato P and the Staccato P Duo??
Brrroooo!!! You hit this one on the head! Just came across this video and decided to hear your thoughts on this gun. I went to the range a few months ago to rent some sub compacts to help me decide what i wanted to buy. I had some rounds left to get rid of and rented the Stacatto. It was the most accurate shooting i ever had. It was the best shooting experience i ever had. My smile grew bigger every time i pulled the trigger. I want one in my collection. This video took me back to that day and put a huge smile on my face. Good job as always.
You sound like I did when I got my 69 shelby 428 cobra jet !! I get it ! It was wrecked bad but I fixed it (and painted it in my dirt driveway) and won 1st place at the west coast muscle car nationals !! Performance was incredible !! Dam you, now I have to get one !!
Beautiful firearm. I enjoy watching your skills and comfort with so many different firearms. Your knowledge shines through on how easily your muscle memory handle everything with skills, safety, and accuracy. Fantastic
for this purpose, I adopted much of T. Rex Arms principles, and apply their technique to my training. Pistols and rifles, had I any inclination to continue my pursuit into firearms, I would be building a shotgun, however, since muzzle brakes on shotguns are unheard of, a light build would not be my focus. I'm not sure what kind of customization for shotguns are out there, but having the gun I can flip to bird shot, and clay shooting are aspects of my arsenal I still lack. Guns are versatile, and I focus on proper cartridges, and make sure my set includes every situation possible. I have no idea how to get into mortars though... I can wait until I finish my .50 cal.

I am so in love with that gun! Now I need one. Never thought anything could compare to my Sig sauer. I am left handed. Do you think it would work for me?
Yes, as I am a lefty. It is actually easier for a lefty to drop the magazine compared to a righty in my hands. Also the slide stop is easy to work with your index finger as well.
@@MrBert1 hmmmmm I’d prefer ambi slide stop that could be a no go for me as a lefty, I’ve shot an older Sti race gun and they are phenomenal, but I also love love my Walther ppq and pdp.🤷♂️

As many high quality guns that you've reviewed, very surprising took so long to get the Staccato P. If you think thats great, try an XC model. And then a C2 model for CCW. They pretty much out class most everything else 👍👍👍

It is worth the price IF it functions at the time you are rely on it to save your or someone else’s life. Just what is that worth? If you reply to Colion’s “WhatsApp” reply… Be careful. Let me know how it goes. I supposedly had a convo with him this past Sunday. I’m still torn… it’s either him or a good con artist posing. The short of my story is I “won” a gun and he wanted me to pay shipping cost at the tune of $135-$175 via PayPal or something similar. Thankfully it’s an easy pick for me right now… I don’t have the money, but if I did… idk. He was convincing to the point that I still wonder who it really was. I love Colion and his content. If this isn’t him, we need to find a way to let him know someone is screwing with his followers in his name. Best wishes…
100 % worth it. It does make you a better shooter somehow. I call it my "cheat code" when my range does challenges. 50' iron sight or 10/10 Dicken challenge first try at 9 sec. With the concealed model. Worth it!

Ok, Texas made, is the most important to me as a Texan. If anyone has ever sold a brand you just topped it. I think I'm in. Never in love with my G's anyways. It was just the options I liked. Great video. I think they owe you for that one.You made it look good, and I believe you.
Is the Staccato worth it? Or course! For as much as these guns cost, they work reliably and everything is tip top. There are even more expensive 2011’s out there that don’t work nearly as well. The Staccatos are pretty inexpensive compared to some other brands. But that’s still part of the problem. I’d buy a Staccato to have one in the collection but they’re still too expensive or carry. If police confiscate your property for some reason but don’t want to give it back, that amount of money is going to really hurt you. Especially if this is your only gun. Only buy a gun like this if you can really afford it. For the price of one Staccato, you could have purchased a bunch of Glocks (or other medium price tier yet reliable polymer framed pistol/metal framed wonder 9mm), mags, ammo, some body armor, and got some bonafide training classes from a reputable source. That would probably serve you better than owning one solitary $5k Staccato. This is a gun for people who already own a bunch of guns, can afford the additional purchase, have stockpiles of other weapons/ammo/body armor, and are already trained. This isn’t really for people on a budget. Saving up that much money as a new gun owner to purchase a gun like that when you’re missing so many other skills and materials is doing yourself a disservice.
I hear people always say the “you’re better off buying a $500 glock and $1500 worth of ammo, than buying a $2000 gun” While I see the point, I have to disagree to some point. A $500 glock with $1500 worth of ammo, sitting in your safe, isn’t worth anything other than the apocolapse. Same thing if you have 20 guns sitting in a safe not being shot. A $2000 gun that makes you WANT to go out and shoot and practice and train, now that is where it’s at. A good shooting gun will make you a slightly better shooter. A gun that makes you train will make you an amazing shooter. Furthermore, once I bought my Staccato, it spoiled me, and I don’t want to buy guns anymore, since I know what I have is better than any other gun the store has to offer. That peace of mind, and not buying 20 other guns is worth it.
My first was the P and like you said. It made me want to go shoot. My excitement was equal to what colion is expressing. I haven't bought anything else since. Besides more stacattos.
@@bertblue9683 before, when Id see the gunstore, it’s like “Oh i wanna see how nice that shoots. Oh I wanna see that other one too!” Now it’s like “that one looks cool, but im curious how crappy that one feels”
I have an STI Hawk that I purchased as a “starter kit” for competition when these were new and available. I’ve kept up with the maintenance and spring change schedule and still have driven this pistol to unanticipated failure due to the high round count……I’m foaming at the mouth for a 2011 carry pistol!
$2600 is a lot for a duty pistol, but after owning it and running it I see that it’s worth every penny. It’s now my EDC 90% of the time, 10% of time being a smaller pistol due to clothing/weather/activity. But in that 10% I’m always wishing I could of carried my Staccato P.
I have one and the trigger is not that great. I was at the range shooting it. I let the guy beside me shoot the Staccato and he let me shoot his long slide $500 Sprinfield XD. The bullets went the same place as the bullets from the Staccato. It made me question my decision.

Depending on the rules of the range I'm on or a class I'm taking, Pistols that act one way at 1-shot-per-second can act a totally different way when you speed up to strings of fire, reloading, and malfunction solving. That's when I can see the separation in performance and effectiveness of brands/models of pistols.
@@TheLogitech91 calm down not trying to upset you. Was just curious. I shot my friends staccato P at 25 yards (optic installed) at a headshot and hit 5 out of 6 times which surprised me. …. For me I wouldn’t try a head shot at 25 yards but a torso shot with my current handguns. Don’t be discouraged just keep practicing.
i've been contemplating getting one. well, more seriously considering than simply contemplating it. i have been watching oodles and oodles of videos and reading articles and what not. seems that most that complain about it mostly gripe about the price. so it seems most that hate it simply can't afford it or just cant stomach the price. video after video and review after review consistently talk about how well it shoots and how reliable it is. yeah, i'm getting one.

Self defense shooting Glock 19 gen 5, breaking necks at the range and being the talk amongst the barbershop Stacatto! I would go into cardiac arrest if my 2,500$ gun becomes part of police evidence!
As a new shooter with only a handful of times going to the range, I shot this at a gun range and it was by far my best shooting by far. Punching out groupings at 10 yards was EASY
It's because of that CONFIDENCE I carry a 2011 for every day carry. Because when SHTF. I want every advantage I can get along with the confidence to take on threats with ease

LOL Timing is everything. Props for not editing out the section where you are talking about hitting targets with the gun and missing coupled with frustration "uh" comment. Most anyone else would do a retake.
I finally pulled the trigger (pun intended) earlier this year on my first race gun - a Staccato P DUO. Mine does not have the ported slide or compensator and it is still the finest shooting pistol I have ever used. Thanks for sharing your review!
The P isn't a race gun.....
Was literally telling my son in law about this pistol at breakfast this morning. If you know you know...yes we'll worth the money!
You should try the sv brand. My opinion having owned both. The sv has fit and finish on another level. The sti are great the sv is luxury
I agree, my confidence level went up. Where ever I pointed it it shot perfect. I love my new staccato P well worth it
Loved my Walther Q5 SF until I got my Staccato P. It’s my go to gun every time I open up my safe. Definitely worth the price.
Same. Still love the q5 SF though
Me too.
I wanted a Staccato before I watched this video. Now I REALLY want one. Great video!
I plan on getting one. The price tag holds me back. However, I realize that quality costs money.
Save twice as long and buy an Atlas puts this gun to shame in every way shape and form
@@thebrassbrigade5963 an atlas is twice the price
@@SingleSup540 That’s why I said save twice as long
Appreciate all the input. I don't think I'd go with an Atlas... I'd be afraid to take it out of the safe. For that money I could get my 2 dream pistols - the Staccato P and the H&K MK23.
What is the main difference between the Staccato P and the Staccato P Duo??
just know I bought this gun because of this video and could not be more ecstatic to have it what a amazing unit
Definitely worth every penny 🙌🏾

As an owner of several STI's I must agree. The C2 is my EDC.

Beautiful firearm. I enjoy watching your skills and comfort with so many different firearms. Your knowledge shines through on how easily your muscle memory handle everything with skills, safety, and accuracy. Fantastic
Even the firing pin a piece of art.
for this purpose, I adopted much of T.
Love both my P and my C2… and I love supporting the great nation of Texas

I am so in love with that gun! Now I need one. Never thought anything could compare to my Sig sauer. I am left handed. Do you think it would work for me?
Yes, it has a ambi safety

I hear people always say the “you’re better off buying a $500 glock and $1500 worth of ammo, than buying a $2000 gun”
While I see the point, I have to disagree to some point.
@@bertblue9683 before, when Id see the gunstore, it’s like
“Oh i wanna see how nice that shoots. Oh I wanna see that other one too!”
Now it’s like “that one looks cool, but im curious how crappy that one feels”
It's worth 5 Glocks? Lol, I think not.
I have one and the trigger is not that great. I was at the range shooting it. I let the guy beside me shoot the Staccato and he let me shoot his long slide $500 Sprinfield XD. The bullets went the same place as the bullets from the Staccato. It made me question my decision.
Dear subscriber You have been selected among my few giveaway winners, endeavour to reach out to claim your prize. Congratulations 🎉 again my humble subscriber
What distance were you shooting at?
@@oldmilk3269 10 Yards. Don't try to give me any shit that the Staccato would be any better at longer distance.
