- Peter and I went to the Staccato facility to do a video on their new shooting facility/ranch. While we were there, they showed us their new gun, The Staccato C. The Staccato C is their version of a Do Everything gun.
It is big enough for home defense, small enough for concealed carry, shoots well enough for competition, and has a long enough barrel for duty carry.
There are two versions of the Staccato C. The Full-size grip and the compact grip.
I think the Compact grip is useless as the Staccato CS does a better job at what the Compact C is trying to do, but I understand why they made it.
What's useless to me is the holy grail to someone else.
That said, both guns didn't surprise me at all because they shot wonderfully, as I expected them to.
I've always considered myself a Jack of all trades and damn good at a couple so the Full Size Staccato C has my heart.
Also, you don't want constant ringing in your ears because you did too much shooting with no hearing protection.

@@puma51921same with retired military. I got a 40% discount on all my Staccato’s but that is only available for TX residents. Out of state is only 20%. Regardless, it won’t apply if you get any engraving done.

Don't forget that there's also the CS '23 and the CS '24 which are different enough to affect hioster compatibility.
The purpose of a full size slide with shorter grip is it conceals better than full size with a longer grip.

For reference here’s the barrel lengths for the staccato line up: CS - 3.5in, C2 - 3.9in, C - 4in, P - 4.4in, XC - 5in, and XL - 5.4in. With that being said. The C is in a really weird place when you really look at the entire line up.

You forgot that the original C was a single stack to add to the confusion.
So to minimize the confusion there is a C-F, full size and a C-C compact size. For the C-C I would also stick with my CS, and for my C-F I’ll just stick with either my C2 or Heritage P4.15. The XC is the best shooter.

I'm all about that full-size Staccato C-it's like a trusty sidekick that's ready for anything.
I don't know that I agree that a 3.5" barrel conceals better than a 4" barrel. The barrel is what is inside the waistband and isn't going to print. Even in an appendix position a number of holster makers will actually recommend slightly more holster below the belt line to help the pistol from wanting to lean out from the body. It also seems weird to me to call the C with the fullsize grip the do all. I would think that's the C with the compact grip. The C seems set up to supplant the old C2.
Looks like a winner , for now my fav edc is the heritage.
I can’t wait to get to a free state this Summer and order the Stacatto C with the full grip. IMO this may be the ultimate carry gun for those who can conceal it.
These are beautiful guns. They are a small fortune, but when your life depends on your firearm, it's the way to go. Plus, for anyone wondering, if you're active LE, right now, they're 20% off! Now, I'm not sure how long the deal runs for, but per our department, it's a couple of months.

@@daniel45-70 Yes. Been carrying it for afew years now. Other pistols are too small. I’m six foot sic and 275lb with huge hands. I’ve had people at the range say the pistol looks small in my hands.

C with the full size, but I'm 6' 3" and 250 with athletic build. I do carry a 1911 45 ACP with 4" barrel but do find it a little heavy sometimes (I'm in my 60's) so I think this set up will fit me well and will have much more fire power and also be able to use in IDPA shoots so I can be more proficient with the fire arm. Enjoy your vids!

I am on your side here. I got myself a G45 for this exact reason. Mainly because of my chunky hands. Would love the one with the longer grip. And this means more round capacity as well.

Amen. I despise a 9mm with a barrel length less than 4'' due to lack of reliable expansion when using JHP/MHP rounds. It's a great way to go deaf too if you have to use it in a hurry without hearing protection. 'Hold on mister attacker, let me put my ear buds in.' Lol.

My grandson came back from the middle-east, and Staccato is all I heard for 6 months. CS is a heck of a nice weapon, but I'll have to admit that C- full frame 4" is Sweeeet!
I would go for the 4 in barrel-hands down. Reducing the barrel to 3.5 in sheds a significant portion of energy.

I'm glad you said the full grip version of the Staccato C, was Staccato's version of the Glock 19X/Glock 45; so I wouldn't have to. The only thing worse than online discussions with Glock haters, is online discussions with Staccato fan boys.
My only issue with Staccato is it is a mass produced gun that cost like it is a Custom. I enjoy my C-2 but it in no way compares to my Les Baer TRS in fit. Yet cost near as much. it is far over rated.

The long slide short frame is popular because of the velocity and accuracy the extra barrel length gives. And its easier to conceal the shorter grip. At the end of the day, youre concealing the frame not the barrel.

My C2 limited with comp, is my second fave. I do carry it. The XC is like, a gift from my ancestors! But I don’t carry it lol lol lol my wife loves her CS. I just wish it shared the larger magazines

You avail yourself of the opportunity to evaluate many firearms that us mere mortals can't. I am looking for a 5" barrel 2011 in 45 ACP. I know, I know, 9mm is better than 45 ACP blah, blah, blah . . . but it didn't used to be and that was my time. I am so invested in 45 ACP that I would go bankrupt if tried to change my entire arso . . . collection from 45 ACP to 9mm. If I was just starting out today I would definitely go 9mm but so far I haven't figured out how to adjust the space time continuum so that I can go back in time with the wisdom I have acquired. Anyway, I am looking for a new 2011 with 5" barrel in 45 ACP and just don't seem to find any that are of the quality I'd like. The current RIA's are not quite there in my opinion and finding a REM R1 Enhanced is like winning the lottery. Anyway, I'd like your insight and opinion on 45 ACP 2011's.
I think until Stealth Arms puts 45 in the Platypus, you may be stuck with Rock Island...I don't know of a new production double stack 45, lotta single stacks though. I typed this before using Google-Fu, so be gentle.🤷♂️
Edit: Yep, I was wrong. EAA says the Girsan 2311 comes in 45...so there is hope.🇺🇸👍🇺🇸

Slimmer grip for the C and slimmer magazines. Also 4 inch barrel instead of 3.9. Thats about it.

Au contraire. I have a C, 4" with single stack 8 round mag.
The original C was a single stack. This newer C has a 4” barrel, comes with the updated (now standard?) stippled grip, and the grip circumference has been slimmed down some…as they opted for new mags which are ONLY for 9mm, and not also for .38 super. At least that’s what was mentioned in one of Staccato’s previous videos. They may have changed something since then.
C2 has internal extractor. The new C has an external extractor

Yeah, a friend actually recommended the CS for me for concealed carry.
I bought the P Heritage which is 4.15 and I think it was a great option. The XC is the best shooting Staccato and yes I've shot the XL. The XC is like shooting with cheat mode activated.
Been looking to retire my first gun (and my EDC), my Astra A-100, due to a critical part having some questionable wear, and I'm unable to source a replacement part due to age and obscurity. I'd make the part myself, but I don't have the tooling and know-how... yet.
I was considering upgrading to a super similar gun (fits same holsters), a Sig P226 Legion (DA/SA like my Astra). Now you have me considering this Stocatta or whatever.
As with any gun I buy, I gotta hold and handle one in person to know if I want one. I used to want a Glock, then I held one, and hated the feel so much I don't even want to think about them. If this Stoccato thing feels as good in the hand as a Sig P226 Legion, or a Walther, and beats their price point significantly, I might have found a winner.

Staccato- tier 1 2011- $2000+

The nice thing about the compact grip is compatibility with CS mags, I also just like the more compact size.
Im 6' 185. I can conceal a full size 1911 no problem. But i dont wear t shirts either. Im currently carrying a mete. No printing, its no problem.

Great video. I still prefer the CS because it's small enough to conceal carry, yet big enough to comfortably use in most scenarios. For the cost of these work of arts, you want it to be able to check as many boxes as possible and you want to use it as much as possible. Just my humble opinion.

The C with the compact grip is essentially a C2 with a .1" longer barrel. The C with the full size grip is essentially the Glock 45 of the Staccato lineup.

Took off my magwell, and use my P in my EDC rotation. Absolutely love it.
I like the 4” barrel range. I will have to add this to my list. Been trying to decide on my first modern 1911/2011 pistol. Unfortunately my list seems to be getting longer instead of shorter.
That was quite confusing. I will have to watch it another time or two, to understand which one Colin liked best.
I have to choose one? If I can afford it, I'd consider all three. Time will tell.

It’s not that confusing. The new C takes the CS grip/proprietary magazine platform and gives it a 4” barrel vs 3.5”. It’s a CS with half inch longer barrel; however, they are offering a slightly longer grip option for those with bigger hands. That’s all it is…
To summarize it’s a 4” barreled CS with the option of a longer grip if you want it.
They are also going to sell an 18 round mag that fits both grips.

I think that all the confusion is they have 3 c modules. The CS is the 3.5-inch barrel; the C2 comes in a 3.9-inch barrel; and the C is the 4-inch barrel.
