Now this is how you do a review! He gave us comparisons to other guns. What a lot of gun RUclipsrs don’t understand is the staccato CS will not be found at your local gun store or gun range. It is not a Glock 19 that you can go and test out. So, just telling us the gun shoots accurate means nothing without showing us comparisons to other weapons that will help have a better understanding of how this gun functions. The only way to test out this gun as of right now is to buy or drive to Georgetown Texas. So I appreciate this review a lot because it answered every question that I had. Now I’m going to buy the staccato CS. 😁

Therefore, your results combined with skill and training will be much better. Get your hands on a Staccato for a day and let us know what you think, I’d be interested.

The C-2 did indeed make me a better shooter. How? Because I can't resist the call of my personal home range. Seems the C-2 calls out to me almost everyday and I can't resist. Only complaint is it is just flat hungry. Man it can go thru some ammo quick and puts a smile on my face while putting me in the poor house! GRRRRRR!!!
Worse, I ported and Genghis type comped it in my shop, full trigger job, reduced the grip dia. and stippled the grip module and milled and hard fit a Lup'y Pro reflex sight and now its hunger is ravenous. Help!!!

I have two C2’s, and this past week I emailed Staccato regarding a different grip for the C2. Currently the Tac grip is available for the C2, but it’s the full-size grip as used on the P, which will not allow C2 mag’s. The Tac grip requires 17-round and larger capacity mag’s, not the 16-round Staccato mag’s, which sucks since I own ten 16-round C2 mag’s.
Staccato Customer Support said they would mention my C2 Tac grip request in their next company meeting. I would really prefer a 16-round Tac grip to help with CCW concealment.

You do NOT need to put 5K rounds through either gun to figure out whether you should carry one or the other,…come on now!! As a 31 yr veteran-retired officer I can absolutely verify this fact having carried and owning hundreds of gun through my career.
While both are excellent, the C2 is THE ONE to go with…main reason is that other mags from other models will fit, versus the CS which has proprietary mags to fit ONLY the CS.
Secondly, the extra slide length/weight makes the C2 hands down an easier shooting gun with mor accuracy. As far as 1911/2011 style guns go across ALL calibers, the C2 may be the absolutely BEST that has ever been produced regardless of its $2399.00 MSRP price tag.
My advice, buy the C2, add a Dawson Precision low profile mag well for even better ergos and fast magazine changes. Finally, as a backup, purchase a version of the Sig P365 380 or 9mm, for occasions when you want to go light weight without sacrificing quality as well as a Ruger LCR 357-with internal hammer. These three guns will serve you well for all occasions and are all that any serious CCW gun owner will ever need.

Got a CS today. Shot 100 rounds without the dot, it's accurate and fun. Snappier than a full size, but I shot it next to a Hellcat and it was like a Cadillac compared to that. I love this thing. I think the recoil impulse is less, or at least better feeling, than my Glock 19. That's all I need, I'm happy with the purchase. I don't know about the grip reducing recoil. The heavier slide, steel frame, and longer recoil system are what is likely contributing most to the reduction in felt recoil. For a gun sized between a compact, and a Micro...call it a Mini, the recoil isn't bad.

Thanks for the info! Have you ever tried to swap slides from the cs to the c frame? I have the gen 2 C. CS frame with a c slide (Monsoon comp) and c frame with cs slide for light back up would be interesting!

@@johnwillis4196 I've not tried swapping slides. I have sold the C, so now that isn't an option.
