I dont know why when you mention about your kids, I get so emotional. I followed your recipes since I was 16. The first dish I made from your recipes was cabbage kimchi. After that, I have cooked for my family alot of delicous things thanks to you. For me, you are not only my teacher but also another mother. I have not meet you in person yet, but I really love to do it. I love your video, your recipes, your soul and your voice. Thank you for upload these video and introduce the korean cuisine. I hope you always be happy and healthy.

I'm only 14 and I want to learn how to make food to help my mom when she's tired and to make my mexican family taste Korean dishes... Maanchi thank you for your videos cause now I can learn how to cook delicious meals. You are my inspiration for cooking.❤❤❤
That is exciting to hear!!!! I recommend trying the spicy Korean stir-fried pork! That's one of the first recipes I tried and it is super easy to make! We usually have it 2-3 times a month! Also if we don't have pork we substitute it with chicken. The first time I made the recipe I followed Maangchi's directions exactly. I loved the spice and heat. My husband liked it but it was a little too much for him to handle. Just keep that in mind if people in your family are a little sensitive (but we latina's can handle our spice haha!) I can't wait to hear what you try! ruclips.net/video/3oFCGKmzQX8/видео.html
Yeah i'm 14 too and i'm from Vietnam! There're only spicy noodle, kimbap and tteokbokki when Vietnamese people - especially in my area - know about Korean cuisine. I want to bring more Korean dish to my family and friends, and she helps me a lot! Thank you Maangchi!
Ur such an inspiration for million of people who like to cook food ..... Am from India and I really love Korean recipe...I made honye butter chicken , dumpling soup and other dishes and they really so testy... I love so much pls keep making videos and keep inspiring all the people ❤❤❤❤❤love from india 🇮🇳🇮🇳

I'm a simple man. I see a new Maangchi video, I click. I got into cooking because of you. I never really liked cooking before, because all I knew was very basic. But since I found out about your channel, I fell in love with cooking and all the different ingredients I got to taste because of you. Thank you so much, Maangchi
it's so wonderful to hear you speaking korean maangchi!! the weather in korea and the house where you filmed this video both seem so nice!! :) thanks for sharing your easy kimchi recipe! have a great trip :)
everything about this video is so wonderful. the cheerfulness, the delicious-looking food, the glimpse at traditional culture, and the stately ladies at the end who had no idea what was going on but went along with it graciously. keep doing your thing maangchi!
The video was absolutely captivating. The amalgamation of instructional cuisine, manufacturing, a short beautiful tour of the land and Korean history with a touch of heartfelt you spirit dosed just right in lovely order. You don't just cook this way, you live it. Continued long life and an abundance of blessings.
I absolutely love all your shows..this one was like a breath of fresh air..a short visit to a village in Korea. Thank you. I have both your cookbooks, and am addicted to watching you cook on all your shows. You make it look so easy and explain it so well, and everything looks so tasty. I remember one episode where you made bread. Do you think you might ever write a bakery cookbook. Thank you.🥰
MAANGCHI!!! I LOVE YOU SHOWED US HOW TO MAKE THE PASTE IN SMALL PORTIONS!! My boyfriend is half Korean and always studies my kimchi making. I always feel nervous when he tastes. I have loved all of your lessons. You teach and give history background so one can fully understand.
Seeing the production must have been very fun! The flakes were very beautiful and so was the scenery of the house. Thank you very much for the history of the peppers and the cook book!! ❤️
Maangchi I’ve been watching you since 2009 around the time when I left my home in Trinidad and Tobago to attend college in Canada( you kept me from being homesick despite different cultures). You have really thought me a lot about your culture/ Food... Recently every time I’m feeling a bit down I rewatch one of your videos and it makes me feel better. There is something about you that lightens my day 😃 lots of love 💕
Thank you for sharing such lovely scenery, story and recipe! I've been watching you for about 8 years now and you have teached me how to cook delicious food! I've shared your recipes with friends and family and I must say even picky eaters LOVE your food. Thank you very much! And please never stop making such lovely video's!!
You're right about needing English on Korean packaging! There are so many yummy looking sauces in the Korean supermarkets that I't like to buy but don't know what they're used for!
Both me and my mom are great fans of your videos! Recently I’ve been going through dietary issues (low appetite), tried some of your recipes (tradition kimchi/chives kimchi) and they really help boost my cravings for food again... thank u so much Maangchi.
maangchi - such a beautiful place and a lovely day for you to demonstrate this recipe and teach us about the red peppers grown and processed in this area of korea! thank you so very much for sharing this recipe and this experience with us. I love kimchi, and having a quick version recipe is extremely useful for those of us who do not have enough space to make the bigger batches of time fermented kimchi.
This episode was delightful. The ending where you were talking with the ladies was the best. Thank you for sharing some historical and cultural elements while in Korea!
The little joys of life: watching Mangchi videos and reading Terence McKenna.... This video is so special.... Took me back to my childhood days when I visited my grandparents in our village home.... Such splendid, vibrant colours everywhere.... And the tranquility.... Bless you Mangchi.... Thank you for inspiring us to cook with heart. Much love 💓 💓 💓
Maangchi, i had never tasted kimchi but, i thought if i was going to taste it i would have to taste the real thing so i looked up recipes i saw yours and made it that was 2 years ago and i still have to make yours because it was the first one i had tried and it is still the best thank you : )
I love and respect all the work you do to represent the history of your culture's cuisine while making it accessible to foreigners like me. I love kimchi so much! Thank you from Trinidad and Tobago.
This brings back so many wonderful memories I have of Korea. I was there as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years, lived with a Korean family and had very little contact with Americans. I loved Korea so much I didn't want to leave. I almost got married there and stayed. (That was not the path God had for me, however.) When I got back to the States I was "homesick" for a long time for Korea. I felt like a Korean among the "round-eyed." Korea will always have a special place in my heart.
I love your culture it’s serene and peaceful. And I love Korean food especially yours and I have two of your cook books. My kids love it too. Two sons one is 8 and the older one is 16
I always come back to this video. It makes me so happy and it’s probably because you get to see one of the most special parts of making delicious food in real time. Making connections with people. Thank you so much for putting so much love out there. Like so many others you have impacted my life in such a positive way and you are always an inspiration, teacher, and most importantly friend.
This video was uploaded over 4 years ago but still I want to share this lovely feeling with you. I hope you can see this comment! Great love from your home, Korea.
Thank you for this recipe, Maangchi! 💖 I've used this recipe and it was so goooood! So much better than store-bought ones. Plus, it is cheaper too. This recipe filled up my Moccona coffee jar. For those who want to try this recipe and your chilli powder doesn't have information if it's mild, medium etc., I suggest to have a taste first and adjust the sugar accordingly.
I just got to know about you and already I've tried some of the recipes and I have to say they are amazing...even though I'm African and to be honest I have no idea about some of the ingredients, I just love watching You. Your teachings are on point with colourful, spicy and nutritious foods. Just because of you I want to go out of my way and try everything single dish you make. I might not get some ingredients but the ones I do, i will make it. Will visit Korea one of these days. Kudos Maangchi
I am a Korean living in Osaka, Japan. This Japanese caption is truly a masterpiece. I died at 7:56 - 8:07 this is so hilarious and super accurate one with Kansai accent 😂😂
When I tried to buy gochugaru for the first time in Australia I was also confused because there’s not any indication in English as to which one is spicy and which one is medium spicy. I had to bring to the cashier and asked. I think your recommendation is very useful.
I absolutely looooovve kimchi! Unfortunately, I am the only one in my household to truly appreciate it. So this one Portion is perfect for me. I love the fact that you give a a bit of cultural history - I’m hooked on your cooking videos! Much appreciated 😊
Thank you Maangchi 🥰! I enjoyed this video so much. The history behind where you are, and information on how red pepper flakes are made in that area made me feel like I was there. This really makes the kimichi you made so special.
I love these types of videos; they give us a peak into the culture. Thank you for sharing this experience and thank you to those who gifted you the access to do so. Gomapseumnida 🙇♀️
I have always wanted to make kimchi but dread the process. Thank you for this easy & small portion recipe. I happened to have all the ingredients on hand and just got done making it❣️
I love when you tell us stories, it makes me even more excited to try your recipes and fills me with so much joy. I love learning about new food and people through your channel, thank you so much for sharing with everyone! I've been buying my kimchi from my Hmart for a while, but I have been itching to finally make it myself. I'm looking forward to giving it a try!
You are sooo a lovely person Maangchi and you explaine very well how the right way it is to prepare the korean meals👏Thank you very much, and Greetings from Germany🙋🏼♀️
such a great video Maangchi!! i don't know what it is, but for some reason seeing you speak Korean with others makes me so happy lol!! thank you for all of your videos and amazing recipes, we don't deserve your loveliness
You always look so cute when introducing and teaching...really a good pair with you attitude as the chef, bring those happyness to people who see and eat...💖
It's been years since I commented on your videos last but that does not mean I have stopped watching and I thoroughly enjoy your videos as much as before! It is so nice to see you in Korea cooking
Lasy weekends i followed your recipe. I cannot find Korean fermented anchovies here, in Hamburg Germany, so i used Thai one found in Asian shop. I and my German friends liked it so much. She also let the leftovers in fridge to ferment it more. Thank you Maangchi ajuma !! You’re always amazing!!
Niesamowita historia pierworodny syn przekazuje następnym pokoleniom.
Maangchi, thank you for making this video! I love learning about your culture, and the best way to learn is through food. I remember you saying in a video that food brings people together, and you are exactly right. I love all of your videos, thank you for teaching us about the peppers and the process they go through! The information about Mrs. Jang Gye-Hyang was so interesting, and it was awesome that you got to share a meal with her family! Please share more videos! Teach us more Maangchi! Thank you thank you!!!
Beautiful video, great recipe, learned a lot. Thanks

Thank you very much for your kind words! 👍
Same here. Her kim chi recipe is the best for me. I always go back to her version or her other version (large portion ~8lb napa).
There is so much the Korean culture can turn around and show us peace and love . Thank yoy
This video was uploaded over 4 years ago but still I want to share this lovely feeling with you. I hope you can see this comment! Great love from your home, Korea.
: )
Thank you for this recipe, Maangchi! 💖
I've used this recipe and it was so goooood! So much better than store-bought ones. Plus, it is cheaper too. This recipe filled up my Moccona coffee jar.
For those who want to try this recipe and your chilli powder doesn't have information if it's mild, medium etc., I suggest to have a taste first and adjust the sugar accordingly.
Glad you liked it!!
I love all your recipes, but the videos where you tell stories and history are my favorite!
Japanese caption was submitted by HAYUMA (RUclips)! Thank you so much, HAYUMA!
I am a Korean living in Osaka, Japan.
This Japanese caption is truly a masterpiece.
I died at 7:56 - 8:07 this is so hilarious and super accurate one with Kansai accent 😂😂
I am Pakistani live in incheon I always try to make ur recipes because I like korean food
Thank you so much for your nice words!

I have always wanted to make kimchi but dread the process. Thank you for this easy & small portion recipe. I happened to have all the ingredients on hand and just got done making it❣️
Great! Good luck!
hi, ive seen so many ways to make kimchi but yours is the only one i like - love them on anything😋😋😋

❤️
such a great video Maangchi!! i don't know what it is, but for some reason seeing you speak Korean with others makes me so happy lol!!
thank you for all of your videos and amazing recipes, we don't deserve your loveliness
Beautiful video. You show so much respect for people and your culture. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you very much for your kind words!
Thank you for your stories and all the information you share... like about the peppers. Makes me feel like I am there with you .
Excellent work making this video! What a joy to see you make this in the gorgeous traditional Korean setting
You always look so cute when introducing and teaching...really a good pair with you attitude as the chef, bring those happyness to people who see and eat...💖
Even if I have had a stressing day, watching your videos always relaxes me and makes me hungry too!
Sounds great!
These videos bring me such happiness, and it's AWESOME to see you filming in Korea!!! Safe travels, Maangchi!
Wow! The traditional Korean houses and building are so beautiful! It's a perfect setting for a great Korean staple, Kimchi.
Thank you Maangchi for the lesson on how to make fresh kimchi.
The colour of those chilli flakes is amazing
Niesamowita historia pierworodny syn przekazuje następnym pokoleniom.
Maangchi, thank you for making this video! I love learning about your culture, and the best way to learn is through food. I remember you saying in a video that food brings people together, and you are exactly right.
I love all of your videos, thank you for teaching us about the peppers and the process they go through! The information about Mrs. Jang Gye-Hyang was so interesting, and it was awesome that you got to share a meal with her family!
Please share more videos! Teach us more Maangchi! Thank you thank you!!!
Wow Maangchi! Your video was so epic! It was full of tradition and Korean culture! Love it! Absolutely love it! 🤗👍👍👏👏👏👏👏😍❤️💕❤️💕
You are promoting tourism for Korea too! 👍🏻
