No, you don't pull the back trigger first in a double rifle. First the triggers are offset so even if your finger slips you are not going to fire the second trigger. Secondly, one needs to train to handle a double rifle and with training comes expertise and confidence. Obviously the yahoo from Gordy's never hunted game in Africa with a double.
Rigby 416 the Tiger hunt rifle, my favorite. BTW I have never hunted a tiger or even own the Rigby 416, but one day I will buy the rifle, not for hunting tigers but to target shoot. Liked your video.
I understand that rear trigger pull well, as a lefty, I was shooting a friends double 12ga. on clays, needless to say, I pulled the front barrel first, both went off together & knocked me on my butt...
Theres a video of a charging elephant, the guy shoots it and the elephant keeps coming and he had a double barrel gun and pulled the 2nd trigger and droped it, he wld of been dead with a bolt action, im sure theres stories of guys geting charged where they needed 3 rounds or got charged after shooting a couple rounds and the bolt action saved them but in this case it happed all in like a second.
No, you are quite wrong. The best gun for DG hunting is a double express rifle of calibre 450/400 or 450 Rigby and upwards. A double has 2 separate barrels and trigger mechanisms, and a double is far quicker to get off that second shot than a bolt action (and in the heat of the moment bolt actions are prone to jamming - doubles don't). 👍
@@nobodysreview6137 That could happen, but in my experience the others aren't "charging" in the proper sense - but are just running to get away. But I've come to the conclusion that EVERY hunter in Africa gets mercilessly charged by the critter they DON'T see behind them - the PH!!!! 🤣🤣🤣👍
You claim that a 500 grain bullet is 5 times the size of a 180 grain bullet!!!!! Uh, No. Try just a bit over 2 3/4 the size (weight) I'd love to own one of these rifles, but wouldn't even dream of killing an animal with it, after all, what would you turn to when a certain species is gone for good eh? As for a guaranteed 1/4 inch group - BOLLOCKS, that depends on the shooter Sorry mate, but killing Elephants, Rhino, big cats etc is just not acceptable these days (if it ever was) BTW, I am a shooter, from 25 to 1200 yards and with over 25 yrs experience.
I too believe that hunting those animals is becoming progressively selfish and wrong. However, the rifles are still useful for Bear and Elk/Moose. If I have to kill a big cat or a bear, I'm going to want something heavy and fast coming out of the barrel. These rifle have their place and use.
500gr is 2.77 × a 180gr bullet.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Since when is 500 grains 5 times bigger than 180 grains? However, a quarter of a minute guarantee is 4 times better than Sako lists on their site.
Sure thing. It’s just money BIG money!!!

5 x 180 is 500 apparently , who knew !
Elephant Hunting in Montana?
Thank you for the excellent show

I will use one of these for hunting bears.
Sako management have balls to guarantee such an accuracy. Respect!
Where are the .50 BMG big game rifles?
That's what the future looks like

Expensive roundssss
That camo shirt is awesome. What brand?
Controlled round feed. This is a feature that is important to all armchair PHs.
Armchair yes
I would submit the Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauers will get the job done in style. The "World's Finest Rifle." Especially with the double set triggers.
Dude your maths and the Sako guarantee of accuracy is off. Its 5 shots sub MOA with quality ammo at 100m.
Facts are important.
180 x 5 = 500. Welcome to the world of public education.
What is good for elephants is also good for raptors (dino).
👍🏻
180x5=900 😂
Math is not your strong suite is it
180 × 5 = 900

"As for a guaranteed 1/4 inch group - BOLLOCKS, that depends on the shooter" No, that's what the rifle is guaranteed to be capable of shooting.
