Years of audits, they must have quite the spreadsheet by now. The thing about shells - especially offshore tax haven shells - is they can be setup and torn down on a whim. And some evidently are stacked as pass through accounts to make auditing/investigation near impossible.

Pecker also testified Cohen very much wanted a job in the White House but Trump would not oblige. And Davidson testified that working for Trump was central to Cohen’s identity, insinuating his obsession with Trump bordered on pathological.
The defense is going to claim Cohen was a low-level errand boy at the Trump Org who had delusions of grandeur about becoming a player but that in Trump’s mind, Cohen was a joke and that he acted alone to protect Trump’s candidacy in hopes he would be richly rewarded in the end.
Sadly, but predictably, Trump instead threw Cohen under the bus.
I trust and admire Cohen. He is a truly transformed man. In a weird way, he represents the worst and the best in an ordinary man confronted with a hard problem. I feel proud of him. It’s like he chose the light of honesty, over the darkness of Trump.
