First: your videos are incredibly well-edited! Like, seriously man, it’s impressive. That shit takes time! The music, the cuts, all of it. Second: it is SO encouraging to see this... Been sleeping on only a very thin yoga matress for a couple of years. I used to have pain when I woke up, hardly being able to pull myself up. First day if sleeping on the ground I could go straight up, no pain and y body actually could stand up after waking up. Also back pain dissapeared, yay! Can def recommend.
I'm your same size (but quite a bit heavier). I use a thick yoga mat and then sleep on top of a sleeping bag with a blanket. I also sleep on my back with a pillow under my knees. That makes all the difference.
I just skimmed through your channel and - can I just say - your insanely-instant transition into who you are now coming from...whatever that was before... is pretty fuggin schweet imo.
That’s pretty much the exact thought I had, I’ve slept on the floor before but not consistently. So far so good. I just can’t see the sense in owning a bed anymore, takes up way to much space for me to just sleep in. Japanese futon is in the looking.
The bed is the singular most clunky thing which follows us to wherever we move... I loathe that there isn't something more easily constructed & deconstructed... mattresses are heavy horrible objects too... don't like sleeping directly on floor as it may have dirt, dust & critters, even with good cleaning... do sleep on a low platform bed with flatter 3" foam mattress... beds & sofas are horrible objects... God knows what they collect inside... no sofa, no big bed my entire life... Glad you raised this issue in our lives
Thnx for the video. I actually found your channel because I was looking for barefoot videos. I have been sleeping on the floor the Last 2 Nights and am now searching for a good shikibuton. Love your videos!!
Hey Cade, I love your videos. You said you ask questions you probably shouldn't be but you still do anyways because you've got what I have- an insatiable curiosity. If you don't already watch Jordan Peterson, Elliott Hulse, Cole Robinson 'Snake Diet', Wim Hoff, David Goggins, The Joe Rogan Experience,Jeff Nippard, Terrence McKenna, Bob Ross, then I recommend to try these people/yt channels. There are many more to list but I don't want to over load you.
You should have done it for 1 month. If you did, you wd still be on it today. I cant's go back to mattreses anymore....It's Hot and gives me allergies.
Hey so tonight will be my third night sleeping on the www.ikea.com/be/nl/p/plufsig-gymnastiekmat-opvouwbaar-groen-10262831/ but i just wonder if its normal to feel a liitle pushing in my tailbone like it feels so weird is it normal in the beginning? Hopefully this comment isnt too late for a response ❤️ from 🇧🇪
the more muscles you have the better it feels, my bed is too soft for my ford tough body, the white perspective is so condescending haha, humbling, lowest point, minimumalism, you probably dont even know how you sound. science supports its healthy because the body on ground needs to be supported by the bones, not muscles. which cant be accomplished on a bed

I've got insane neck and upper back pain. For 6 months now I also lift heavy at my job daily.. I plan on sleeping on floor with a neck roll

I was sleeping on my yoga mat the last semester of my university. Always woke up well rested :)

Also no nightmares about "monster under the bed " or "the creepy feeling when little of your foot is out of the bed ".
i actually can't sleep unless my feet are hanging out of the edge of the bed lol

You are spot on about these companies.. it’s $$$$ to them and that’s how I see a ton of things.
richie smail it’s so sad!
The fact that you genuinely crack yourself up is the best.
I’m reconsidering my bed, mainly because it’s takes up too much space!
Excellent Editing chops.
sold my bed, sleeped on a camping mat for 14 days, bought a tatami. im loving it. my friends dont get it :-)

You deserve at least 100k with this editing and photography. Props. Thinking about something like this when I head to college.
I'm like 210lbs 6.5 ft sleeping on the floor hurts my bones, sleeping on a soft mattress hurts my back and muscles.
Really want to try a shiki futon.

I got 2 mattress ads one in the beginning and one in the end lol 😂 honestly this video was informative and well done!
That was my life growing up . Me and my sisters slept on cheap mattresses in the living room .
Great video, where did you purchase your rug and floor mattress? The link doesn’t work
This was me 6 years ago and never went back lol
wow 😮
Ground sleeping is actually quite common in some countries and some actually prefer that over beds. But they're still in their right mind though ;).
Which countries are those?
