Any sensible fan of the show understands that Walt wasn't an aspirational man finding his manhood and his wife wasn't the one who treated him badly. She didn't castrate him, she was a very particular person who felt her husband was lying to her and understood the deception. You might not like her but she did several helpful things. She designed the whole money laundering process and she made it possible to buy the business for the lowest price possible not to raise any suspicions. Skyler helped Walt to keep his business a secret from his brother in law and her sister.
