Sloppy Alumina & Pure Ingots make Aluminum soooooo much easier, but the regular scrap vs electrode scrap comes down to whether you can spare coal or oil for it easier. I went with electrode, because I could produce the Fuel that would be used for Fused Modular Frames in the same chain, and the Plastic for some of the Heavy Modular Frames chain for the FMFs.
Kibs, the way you setup aluminum water at 11:10 wouldn't backloop eventually clog up if aluminum scrap production is slowed down for whatever reason and eventually get fully blocked by full water output? As far as I know satisfactory has higher priorities for lower inputs on junction cross. If you rotate cross vertically and have top-up pipe join from the top you will have a higher priority input on the side coming from refinery and lower priority blocking input from outside. This should, in theory, completely prevent any blockage even if valve is set at full throughput.
According to your map at 2:24, you're not yet pulling bauxite out of the swamp (3 nodes, 1 of each purity). I'm curious what the process is for planning out the entire playthrough ahead of time re: which factories to build, which recipes to use, etc. Do you work backwards from the Space Elevator parts and Nuclear Power, which are the end production goals?
Since the smelters do 60 scrap to 30 aluminum, you could combine 2 batches of 5 smelters into 2-input-1-output kind of mirrored layout to save a little bit of beltwork.
I would advise against using valves as they fluctuate in flow even when set to max. Better to use an unpowered Mk.1 pump to prevent backflow, as it does not fluctuate the flow like a valve, but it does reset the headlift to 0 when unpowered.

I kinda want try this game, but the lack of map random generator puts me off a bit about replayability and also seen it's get very laggy, but well it's still early access.
So long as you're not on an actual potato, the game handles lag relatively well. I will say, if your graphics card can get hot in games, it will get hot in this one, I have the side panel off my case, and a big fan on full blast into the heatsink of the GPU. Rx 590, runs at 65C, the start menu runs hotter than the actual tame. Definitely a space heater lmao.
As for replayability, there is some amount if you're the kind that enjoys trying alternate ideas next time, also your first playthrough will definitely take quite some time anyways. If that's not enough for you, the game has a pretty big library of mods. "Satisfactory Mod manager" is a thing I use, wouldn't be surprised if there's more than just that app though. Everything from adding alternate resources, randomizing purities of nodes, making recipes harder, and a bunch of other things, I'm sure you could find something to make it more interesting.
@@MonkeNeuronActivated i got 3080 and r9 3900x, system is good but i seen this game run poorly in some content creators/streamers. Not always but sometimes, just like Dyson sphere program at endgame it's get really bad to be in the same planet as the factory
@@Davidlavieri Biggest tip to mitigate lag is to have builds spread out, so the game is loading less at any one time, obviously at a certain point it becomes hard to spread it out when each system is so scaled up, but it's the idea.
When you're pushing this game to its absolute limits with the numbers looking like Factorio, you're gonna have some performance issues on an early access. I'm sure it'll be a lot better optimized than it already is later in its life.
Nice I work in a aluminum factory
I just unlocked phase 3 and aluminium👍🏻
I have a challenge for you, Kibz. Beat the game without using automated miners. Portable miners only. Exceptions allowed for water, oil, and gasses since we can't mine those manually. I'm currently testing it and so far, it seems doable. Uranium might be interesting though... I'm about to unlock tiers 5 and 6. Little hint for you... you can trick portable miners to set up on walkways... makes them all at the same level and evenly spaced apart. Easy to collect from.
Why would you do that? Manually collecting and dropping off resources is the very antithesis of the game. Have fun with the endless, pointless grind.
@@Heliaced Well, it IS a challenge... it's not supposed to be easy.
Hi 🙂
Nice
Dont the pipes on the Refineries need to be Mk2? it needs 400 Water right? and Mk1 can only hold 300
CORRECT! I've fixed the issue, thanks for pointing that out!
Hey Kibz, I got a time saver for you. The customized is great for changing an existing foundation piece or other such product you’ve already placed but did you know that it also lets you change the object in question before you place it? In the build menu you can change building material type for the foundations by selecting the right side of the sub menu for where the specific part is located and change which one you are using.
Just hotbar all the different foundation types and never go into the menu again.
@@nokosa depending on how you prefer to use the systems. To hotbar everything or to use the quick wheel. I’m kind of a mix of everything. Depends on the system I’m trying to build. The center mouse click is my most used tool I think.

@@erkamtb many bugs and lots of work. Should watch the official game channel from coffee stains.
is it beautiful... or is it brütiful? 😁
Kibitz do u have a discord server???
I do but it's exclusive for Patrons and Twitch subscribers
it looks like Bastiodon
Kibitz accent gives me a very Canadian vibe either Canada or Minnesota. They are indistinguishable. But it's the oh yeah bud that really screams Canadian
I would guess east coast Canada just cause the A sounds are pretty pronounced. Toronto says sarry while BC says sorry

I don't own the game, so I don't know what wrong with it, but why longer trains are bad?? for example having a train or more with 10 or 20 + wagons...
The game's in early access and trains cause a lot of lag, that's all that's bad about them
Oof man finally ;)
KIBS I NEED HELP HOW DO I GET 81 SLOTS INVENTORY?????
Silica is more valuable resource than alimina solution.
