- Looking to define and clean up your neckline? Follow these tips! Start in the middle and work to one side to minimize irritation. Be careful to not zero-gap the trimmer blade when shaving clients with over curly hair in this more sensitive area.
Someone needs to start a public awareness campaign that teaches all men not to line their beards up like a chin strap. It shouldn’t look like a horseshoe if you look at the ceiling.

The neckline is a little high, but thats where the hair is less patchy so it makes sense for it to be higher with this client
The only I would've do e differently is use a comb instead of a pick lol but that's just me. I think that would've helped a little bit more👌

I refuse to let barbers shave me. I have sensitive skin and the couple times they tried to they fucked me up. I can't go against the grain, or my face gets red and swollen, which leads to ingrown hairs. Rather just take care of it myself

Glad my hair aint like his but when I was younger, I wasn't that hairy, so I actually Got irritation because I was shaving more than I needed to, so I realized I only need to shave every other week until I started getting more hair on my face as I got older.

It would depend. In that guys case, I probably wouldn’t. He already got bumps and I wouldn’t wanna introduce more irritation and bumping. Just clean up the short hair the trimmers can’t get with a shaver pressing very lightly against the skin. Or just stop with the trimmers.
You could also ask the client, if he’s new to you, if they normally bump up with a razor or shaver.

That’s not a shave, barbers be charging 10-15$ extra for this bs. A shave is done with a razor. Now a days I just get a cut, ask to fade my beard in a bit and I’m out, I could do that myself. Yeah, way too high. But, it looks like he’s very patchy in some spots, so maybe he wants it to look as full as possible.
Instead, I think he should give it some time and keep growing it, but I’m sure he just wants to look fresh all the time. Sacrifice a few weeks or months to see your true potential, you’ll never go back.

@@KingBr33ch no, but the lighter spots or patchy spots could be covered up by the fuller areas. I have a patchy spot where the rest of my beard connects to my mustache and when short, it’s very noticeable. When I give a bit and let it grow, it appears full in that spot. He definitely has more neck hair to fill it in/cover it up. And since it’s the neck/under the chin area, it would be extremely hard for anyone to notice unless he lifts his head up high.
Even one of the beard models for Beard Brand, Greg Berzinsky, has quite a few patchy areas and he talks about it quite often to give guys who have patchiness some motivation to keep growing it for the beard they actually want and to experience their full potential.
Sure, he should know his beard better than any of us, but sometimes, people sell themselves short just before they hit gold and they will never know. Either way, none of us would ever know.

I hate when barbers use clippers to line me up and my beard. I always specifically ask them to use a straight razor. If they don't know how to use a straight razor (or simply refuse to use it), I will start looking for another barber and won't come back if I can help it. Nothing gets closer and cleaner than a straight razor.
